I am surprised to say I’m nonplussed. I’ve been enthusiastically waiting for a day when I got off work early enough to get to try this place and now I feel I cheated myself. The food was pretty overpriced, considering the size of the portions(I’m not a greedy eater, I just think I should be full after a dinner plate of bbq). And, while nothing was particularly *bad*(except maybe the coleslaw which tastes like nothing but onions), none of it was as good as I’m used to.

Speaking as a Southerner, the BBQ is good, but I was shorted on my order last time I was there. Ordered and paid for 1 pound of pulled pork. Got home and thought it felt a little light. Weighed it — it was only 12 ounces. Did not return to get the remainder as the place is across town from my home and would have been closed by the time I got there. Container had«16FLOZ» stamped on the bottom. May have held 16 ounces of fluid, but NOT16 ounces of meat. Please get some new containers, or train your employees how to weigh out the meat portions.

Ok… I HAD to go try this place out again now that there is new owners. The smokiness is finally at a level it needs to be!!! Anyone who tried before DEFINITELY needs to come back. The new owners seriously rock & so great to work with. Great way to start out, in my opinion! They catered our rehearsal dinner for lots of family in town from the south. Our family(true southern bbq critics) were blown away! Yum doesnt seem good enough! They were serving up at Green Bluff too for the fall season & they never seemed to be without customers — yet service was incredibly friendly & quick. Since you were at eye level with their service window, yoy could see inside. As a germaphobe, I was impressed by their cleanliness & sanitary efforts. Portions are plentiful & the price is right. Aside from all this, they really make you feel like family. I’m a new loyal customer that will return often :)
