I would like to add to my daughter, Janessa T.‘s, review that in addition to the disappointing food, the place smells like an old tavern where a lot of smoking used to take place and they never aired it out. After hearing good things about Commellini’s for years and always wanting to go there, we were extremely disappointed and won’t be back. I wish we had read the previous reviews on about this restaurant, and we probably wouldn’t have gone in the first place. Even though those reviews are a couple of years old, it would appear that nothing has changed.

Nothing here is especially bad – but nothing is good, either. When you take their prices and the places’ history into consideration it spells disappointment. The setting is extremely historical which is cool, but it’s not like you get to tour any of the places mentioned on the back of the menu. The menu itself is poorly written and the random capitalization throughout was headache-inducing. The dishes are nothing unique and the menu doesn’t have a whole lot of variety. The caesar salad is very bland and their dressing must be from a bottle. Their rolls are certainly from Costco and the butter comes in plastic portion cups. No bread plates are provided. The plates are diner chic – basic bland white ceramic. Their marinara sauce is a major disappointment. I don’t think it’s homemade, either. After our meal it’s no wonder they were all but deserted on a Saturday night. This all may seem rather harsh but for what they charge I expected a whole lot more. I really wish someone would call Gordon Ramsay, cuz this place needs a menu makeover. The founding Commellini siblings must be rolling in their graves.
