Great service(although I just called for a single take-out pie at 6:30 on a Tuesday). Pizza was okay. Ample toppings and decent bacon but I didn’t love the crust. It was a bit soggy and thick for my liking. I am not picky, but I am from Long Island, NY and also worked at an authentic neopolitan wood-fired place for a while. I don’t think I would go back unless I was nearby or in the area as I am guessing there is better take-out pizza around here.

The pizza beats Domino’s, Hut, Rita and some others. The owner seems sincerely friendly and took some time away from his work on the relocating to talk with us while our pizza he made was in the oven. As he wasn’t able to do the lunch special at the new location yet, he cut us a good deal on more pizza/pop for the same price. Recommended.

One of my fave places to find a SAFE gluten-free pizza.(Allergic? Celiac? They use a separate prep area and designated pans. I know, bonus star, right?) I’ve been here three times and order the same thing. GF Long Beach pizza with marinara mixed in the ranch sauce. One day I’ll try another menu item, but this one is just so good. Their GF crust is a good texture and tasty. And they put the cheese to the edge so it gets all crunchy with the toasted parts of the crust. Yum! This pizza is dangerous when it comes out of the oven… cheese so gooey and melty that your chin begs«please don’t land on my delicate complexion!» The customer service has been top notch each time I’ve visited. And I like the option of hopping between Lalo’s and the Press(next door) for drinks. BTW, there’s more parking on the east side of the bldg. This place is a little more spendy than most, but I think it’s worth it.

I picked up a late night calzone here a couple days ago. I opted for the lumberjack calzone($ 12.99)…which is basically 4 types of meat + cheese. Upon placing my order, I was informed that it would be ready in 14 minutes. I thought it was awfully specific… but whatever. I headed straight over and happened to walk in 14 minutes after the order was placed. The guy working pulled out my calzone as I walked in! As for the calzone, it was good. It appears to be a 12″ pizza folded in half. The crust was very crispy and came with a side of marinara sauce. As far as the calzone size, two people might be able to split one. I was really hungry and finished the whole thing myself. Don’t get me wrong, the calzone was good — but I didnt find it to be anything special. If I was hungry and in the area then I’d stop by again, but I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by. If you’re in the area, it’s probably worth checking out.

Their Lava Flow calzone was delicious! Was in Spokane for a wedding and stayed at The Madison Inn, which is right next door. The spicy Sriracha chicken with the cheddar and jalapenos was perfectly spicy and the pineapples gave it some sweetness. It’s a must try if you like spicy! Wish Lalo’s would come to San Francisco! That calzone is def the best I’ve had anywhere.

This place was great. The pizza was good. The people are very friendly. I got 10% off with the Unilocal app check in which is cool. I don’t live in the area but if I did I’d be a regular.

The food tasted great and the costumer service was amazing. My son is allergic to gluten and soy. This can make eating out very difficult. This restaurant offers a gluten free crust. When I called to see if the crust was also soy free(lots of gluten free products add soy) the owner took the time to read me the ingredients. Once I was at the store I realized I forgot to ask if their pepperoni and sausage had soy in them(many companies add soy to meat as a filler). They verified the sausage was soy free and even called their distributer to check on the pepperoni when they realized they did not have the ingredient list on hand. This level of understanding and customer service is rare and greatly appreciated. To make this experience even better they had a separate knife and cutting board for the gluten free pizzas so that there was no cross contamination with the regular pizza crusts. Most of all what will have me coming back was the quality ingredients and great tasting pizza.

Everyone has their own tastes so please don’t react to harshly to my review but to be honest their pizza reminded me of Tombstone frozen pizza, lot’s of cheap cheese, bland sauce and mediocre crust. So if lots of cheap cheese is your idea of a great pizza you will be ecstatic about this place, otherwise you will be wishing you went to The Flying Goat, Fat Daddy’s, or Perry Street.

Boasting new owners and newly redecorated with local art, fresh ingredients and daily hand tossed dough makes a huge difference! Eating the entire single pizza pushed me to gluttony as it was topped with fresh cheese and generous portions of pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives and tomatoes. The sauce was present but not overwhelming and consuming each slice was pure pleasure. A hallway connects with a neighboring bar that allows you to order and walk 20 feet and drink something cold, dark and refreshing while waiting for your pie. Good Luck with your new endeavor James and Pam, you are on the right track!

First of all I love that they buck the trend and have RC instead of Coke or Pepsi. Second, I LOVE their pizza! Great crust and toppings! Reminds me of pizza I had in Philadelphia. Service is pretty friendly too. My biggest joy here is their calzones. I know it is just a pizza folded in half, but that just equals happiness for me. And these are huge! Crust tastes just great, and the goodies inside are hot and gooey with cheese! Décor is like a surf museum, which is fun but makes me miss Hawaii. If you are near Sacred Heart and need some good eats, I would recommend a slice at Lalo’s.

Impressive service, good pizza at reasonable prices. I prefer Lalo’s to the other local chains, they’ve exceeded my expectations in nearly every way.

Well, perhaps four is a bit high, but I have ordered from them several times and never been disappointed. Ok I have never been really excited but they are competent. Since davids is out of commission temporarily and my wife doesn’t like benedittos for some reason, it’s Lalos versus pizza pipeline. Lalos is better in that comparison, though it’s fairly close. In my opinion, Spokane delivery is benedittos, davids, Lalos and then pizza pipeline. All better than dominos, pizza hut, etc

The pizza at Lalo’s is far better than any of the chain places in town and the prices are good. The quality isn’t quite on the same level as David’s and Benedito’s, but Lalo’s is definitely a better deal. The owner is really nice, and check out their facebook page for special deals. As an earlier reviewer said, you can take your pizza next door to Press and have some beers and watch whatever game is on.

I stopped by Press for a quick beer, and realized I was hungry. Since it was hot outside, and the beer was cold, I decided to check out Lalo’s Pizza, which is next door to Press, and connected by an open hallway. They moved into the space formerly occupied by Samurai Sushi, moving their business from the South Perry neighborhood. They have pizza to go, delivery, take-and-bake, or eat in. I found that they share space with Press, and you can take your cooked pizza into Press or onto the outside dining area. The pizza was above average — and the people working there were very friendly and accommodating. Since I was sitting in Press, I learned that I could eat it there, and they would even bring it to me. The pizza crust was perfectly cooked, it had loads of toppings, was reasonable priced, and very tasty. The only criticism I have is that the sauce could have been a little spicier — I found it rather bland. However, that is personal taste, and others may find it just right. It is very convenient being located right next to Press, and on the way up S. Grand. That makes it very easy to pick up a pizza on the way home, or to stop at Press and enjoy it with a cold drink.
