While I have my own washer & dryer there have been occasions where I’ve needed to use a Laundromat. On our last visit here a couple weeks before Christmas, I was folding clothes when a man in his late 20’s came in. He did not have any laundry with him. He walked over to my husband who was sitting at one of the tables reading, when the man tapped him on the shoulder. My husband looked up and the young man held his hand out, smiled and said Merry Christmas. He then handed my husband a $ 10.00 roll of quarters. The young man again smiled, turned around and left the building. My husband was speechless. I was almost finished so as we were leaving, my husband wanted to «pay it forward». He then gave the roll of quarters to an elderly woman that definitely looked as she could use them more than us. My husband handed the roll to her and too said Merry Christmas. She said«really?» He said«yes, really!» To which she had tears yet also had a huge grin. Many nice people use laundromats, not just renters or lowlife. This place has what we need at the time and the employees are fantastic!

What does one look for in a laundromat — cleanliness… entertainment?.. modern equipment?. Some of these hings you’ll find at Laundry Land. If you like to people watch and out-of-control-children watch, check this cash cow out some afternoon. It’s the Land of Misfit Renters and(sadly) lonely people. We set up shop in the back of the room where there were no TV’s so I won’t comment of the flat-screen TVs. I’ll just tell you that I saw them. There are video games here, so if you’ve ever considered handing off laundry duty to your teenager, this could be the way to go. There was a play area for little kids, though I’m not convinced a good parent should let their kids play in a public germ trap(aka Play Land). The machines were okay. Prices seemed reasonable – our front-load washer charged $ 2 a load – with larger machines charging more per load. The large dryers charged $.25 for 7 minutes. They aren’t set particularly hot, so it may cost you to get your items completely dry. It’s incredibly warm in this place. There is no air conditioning nor is there any air flowing anywhere… except at the«help» desk where cutie pie sits on her butt until someone has a problem with a machine. The place wasn’t overly clean, with lint and dryer sheets peppering the floor. A large sign had been removed from the back wall leaving an empty lint-lined space. I never saw an employee wipe anything down or pick anything up, though I did see an employee who resembled a bored teenager when we exited the facility, so… that explains that. I appreciated the ATM machine that prevented our having to make a trip to the bank. There were also soda and snack machines for clientele to enjoy. My experiences here have been tolerable; however, if the outdoor temperature rises anymore, this place will become unbearable.
