Took my son in for lower back pain, sports related, either over trained or from weight lifting at school program. Dr Pearce gave a two minute exam and diagnosis, referred to PT and chiropractic. Many visits to those, still no help. Went back to Dr Pearce who ordered a $ 900 MRI that was not covered by insurance because there was no supporting diagnosis, just a fishing expedition. When I called Dr Pearce’s office to review the findings, all normal according to the office receptionist, he would not talk to me. Instead I was told I had to make ANOTHER appointment, because he does not get reimbursed for talking on the phone. Well, neither do I, but it is part of quality patient care.
