This review is just for the outstanding produce department. I love looking at grocers’ fresh fruit offerings and Safeway had plenty to offer, both organic and regular. Their organic fruits were prominently displayed on a table out in the middle of the department. How cool! I buy what strikes my fancy, organic or not, except for bananas.
Further along, when I asked a produce lady what the new Sweetango apple tasted like, she offered to slice one open for me to try but I turned down the generous offer as I only needed a few organic bananas today. Four stars as this was my first time visiting.

The flower area was nice, but my low rating is due to a young inexperienced cashier that was so bad at what she does that I won’t ever let her check me out again. I’d rather have icey hot smeared on a thermometer, a mouth full of peanut butter, and 10 seconds to take my temp.
