I also had the OMG sliders and loved the taste and flavor!!!

Incredible. They once prepared a pot roast sandwich that I still think about to this day. They were at a food truck event and blew the competition away.

The Bistro Box killed it at our wedding last year! The OMG is still my favorite but the coconut chicken was a big hit too! I have dietary restrictions and Barb gladly accommodated those, serving any of the slider options as a salad or lettuce wrap. If you still haven’t eaten here, wait no longer! The salads are great, with generous portions of goat cheese and great house dressings. And the sliders are perfect, try the OMG, just do it.

Ridiculous! We ordered our food: 2 coconut chicken &2 Kobe sliders, fries, and a toasted cheese, and waited. The stuff was handed to us in a bag. No fries, 2 horrible chicken things, no beef ones. We re-ordered. We received 3 OMGs(yuck), and 1 chicken slider, and a small(thankfully) order of FRY-MUSH! I wish I had taken a picture. Everything obviously sat around for a long time. Absolutely terrible. Were they simply dumping whatever they had on the back burner, regardless of what we ordered? Hard to believe anyone would do that. We tried the crap, but ended up throwing most of it into the trash, where it belonged. Never again.

Got to try a sample at Maytober Fest — it was the OMG slider. American Kobe beef, Crunchy peanut butter, pepper jelly, crispy bacon and cheddar cheese. OMG is right. I’ve heard about these burger/peanut butter creations and have been wanting to try something like this for a while The peanut butter was melty from the heat of the patty, creating more of a sauce versus a thick stick to the roof of your mouth experience(great in my opinion). Now, this is just me, but it was a little too rich for my taste buds I’m really glad I got to try it, it was really good, but I don’t see myself coming here to order it. Now my friend with me, was totally in love with it and is currently stalking them, so it’s a me thing, not a taste thing. The OMG slider impressed me so much, even though it’s not for me. I’m looking forward to checking them out and trying out their fries as well as their Jalapeño slider which sounds more my style.

We went to the Perry Street Market and we were famished so I thought we’d try the food truck that was there and OMG the Kobe Beef Slider — Classic Bacon Cheeseburger was the best ever. Who knew food this good could come from a truck. I will defiantly recommend this to all who are hungry.

I’ve eaten here twice, both times underwhelmed. The food was just so/so, not bad, but far from good. The thing that struck me the most, and that will ensure I don’t have a repeat visit with the Bistro Box, was the behavior of the woman taking and serving orders through the window. She was rude to the customers in front of us and then made fun of them after they left the window after picking up their order. If those customers had been rude, I could understand somewhat, but they hadn’t been at all. Highly unprofessional.

Had a taste of one of their Kobe Beef Sliders. It was melt-in-your mouth delicious. Barb Pagarigan, owner, uses many fresh ingredients and breads from local vendors. Welcome to Spokane, Barb! And congratulations on winning the Ford Food Truck Challenge at Wendle Motors.

This food cart used to roam the Renton area. When it did they had delicious sliders with top quality ground beef and ingredients. The Joe’s special was my favorite of all. They fries are hand cut and double fried for crispiness. I love the sliders there and would go back if in the Spokane area. The only gripe I have with the Bistro Box is the price. They can get a little pricey for sliders and fries. Barb is as good as it gets with how an owner should act. A lot of businesses could stand to learn something from her customer service and friendliness. That is also a big factor with me coming back again and again.

One of my favorite places to eat, or maybe I should say was. Heard they’re leaving for eastern WA :( From my first visit, I’ve enjoyed everything else I’ve ever ordered: coconut chicken, Reuben, sliders(though they look small, a couple of them plus fries are filling), chicken caprese or steak sandwich, sweet potato tots. Btw there was plenty of meat in them, especially when compared to the Panera’s down the road at the Landing. To some this might seem expensive, but quality and taste make up for it.

This food truck came by my work last week and it was very underwhelming! We were all looking forward to it since nobody really eats lunch where I work…(for 2 reasons… too busy & nothing to eat around our building). So when we got the email that the truck was outside, my coworkers and I ran out to be greeted by a long line. Even though the line was long, we were excited to try the sliders since everything sounded great. I ordered the 2 Joe’s Special Sliders with a side of fries and the new life sauce. For whatever reason they stopped serving the Hand-cut Belgian-style Fries and started only serving tater tots. Anywhos, since I had my mind set on some deep fried potatoes, I got the tater tots… The Joe’s Special burger consists of a Kobe patty, bacon, Cambozola cheese, roma tomato, chipotle BBQ sauce, garlic aioli. Despite the list of mouth watering ingredients, we were all left hungry and not satisfied. Not to mention that we threw away maybe half the tater tots because they were so greasy that it made us feel sick. All in all, none of us had a good experience, therefore none of us will be lining up the next time the truck comes around… Some of the menu items on 28Mar13 CLASSICBACON Kobe patty, thick crisp bacon, cheddar, roma tomatoes, dill pickle & fry sauce One – $ 4.50 with fries $ 6.50 Two – $ 8 with fries – $ 10 JOE’S SPECIAL Kobe patty, bacon, Cambozola cheese, roma tomato, chipotle BBQ sauce, garlic aioli. Coconut Chicken! Those are the only words you need to know, if it is on the specials… GETIT. Ya hear me? Get it! So good. You can have it as sliders with fries or as strips to dip. There are pros and cons to this decision. if you have the sliders, you get the yummy slaw that goes with them. If you get the strips, you get a huge vat of dipping sauce. Which is red pepper orange marmalade… droooolllling… Next time, I am going to ask for the strips with a side of slaw… the amt of fries they give you, can feed a small country, I am sure the peeps with me will share. :p Thanks Barb for the fantastic lunch!

I remember the first time I saw the truck, there was a line about 20 people deep. I asked myself, what’s the big deal. I’ll tell you the dealio — The OMG. That’s right, out of all the kobe beef sliders, The OMG is my favorite! Tender kobe beef, thick-cut bacon, crunchy peanut butter, pepper jelly, and cheddar cheese — I can eat about 10 of them but stop myself at 2. My second favorite slider is the Classic Bacon. What’s not to love about bacon? Tender kobe beef, crisp bacon, Tillamook sharp cheddar, roma tomatoes, dill pickle, and classic fry sauce. There are tons of other specials that are run but I love the sliders the most! The Bistro Box does not have a regular Seattle route which means that I can’t attest to the use of social media other than I consistently see posts on both Facebook and Twitter. Every time I see the truck at a Seattle event, I will go to there. Customer service has always been great and Barbara always takes time to talk to me personally. Each time, I reiterate my strong desire to see the truck in Seattle so I can enjoy more of her yummy food more often. Until then, I’ll continue to catch The Bistro Box at special events.

We tried Bistro Box when they were parked in the Seattle Center courtyard 10⁄21. I’m not sure how often they’re there, as a lot of trucks were parked. It might have been an event. Anyway, the ladies working in the truck were super friendly and accommodating to my order. I had the grilled crab sandwich with cheese and arugula. It was incredible. There’s so many food truck options, it’s hard to pick one. I recommend Bistro Box because the quality was excellent and the staff friendly. What more do you want? NOREALLYWHATDOYOUWANT??? Jeaz.

Best coconut chicken EVAH. Seriously. BEST. I tried them during a food truck gathering and this is the one that stuck out far above all the others… BESTCOCONUTCHICKEN sannies with the sweet chili sauce. Fries are hearty and delicious, the dipping sauces are amazing as well. I think I also tried one of their ginormous cookes and it was mmm.m.ejejlkjagmmmmmmm(that’s me eating it and being unable to talk) mmmmmmm… I’ve been putting off writing this review for ages because everytime I look at it, I want to just go there, get more. Sliders, all over the place… I mean that’s what you want… right? I mean don’t get me wrong, they are tasty sliders, but for the cost… I’m not sure… Here’s what I got today… JOE’S SPECIAL This special was pretty darn good… but it was a tasty little morsel, I mean little, the size of a small dinner roll, it maybe 3 bites tops. I loved that yes, there was a fair amount of meat in it, but really, I just wanted more to eat. It had Kobe, Bacon, Cambozola Cheese, Roasted Tomato, and Garlic Aioli and a little bit of their house Chipotle BBQ Sauce! It was flavor packed, but I would have appreciated a full burger… THEOMG This was a great taste, another good combination, but the size of the porition was not there… sadness… sure it had Kobe beef, Bacon, Peanut Butter, Pepper Jelly, and Cheddar Cheese. It was an OMG, but I wanted more to eat, I would have rather had a larger burger. The bun makes a burger, and this bun wasn’t fun… no fun bun. If you have burgers, in any setting, the bun holds everything together. That includes the flavors, oils… it needs a little crunch… but it was a pre-made, school cafeteria style roll… lame. Yes, short sentences, but it’s the food also… there was more fries on my platter, than my burger, and the fries were just okay… I really wanted more of a meal here… sucks.

Managed two separate trips to try a breakfast item and a lunch item. On my breakfast visit, I went with a sandwich of bacon, egg, cheese, and roasted tomatoes on locally baked bread($ 4.40). Bacon makes everything better, right? A delicious sandwich here where you really can’t go wrong. The bread was perfectly cooked on the flattop, and eggs and bacon have to be among the top comforting breakfast foods out there. The cheese and tomato added more flavor to this one. I felt like I was eating a damn good omelet in between two pieces of toast. For lunch, I then spotted Bistro Box at the Seattle Center Mobile Feast last weekend. I just *had* to try the Coconut Chicken Slider($ 4 for one), since it’s one of their most popular items. It’s a chicken breast marinated in green tea, ginger, and lime juice, then battered in a tropical rum batter, breaded with coconut and panko bread crumbs. After frying, it’s topped with their house Bistro slaw and sweet chili orange sauce on a Hawaiian brioche bun. Basically, it was one of those foodgasm moments. The sweetness from the coconut and the chili orange sauce, when combined with that chicken, provided the quintessential balance of savory and sweet. The panko crust was perfect. If anything, it’s a very small portion(it is a slider, after all). I also sampled their pot roast while at the Mobile Feast(to be used for their pot roast sandwich). The juicy meat was nice, slow-cooked very well. I loved the sweetness of the carrot to counter the savory beef. Bistro Box also offers various sliders with Kobe beef patties, as well as an array of paninis(a full one for $ 7.95 or a half for $ 4.50). Now that I’ve tried both their breakfast and lunch items, I can say this is one of my favorite Seattle food trucks. Find Bistro Box in Renton ASAP and get some sandwiches or sliders! You won’t be disappointed!

Wow! I can’t believe this place hasn’t been reviewed yet! I was so confused when I tried to pull up the Unilocal Reviews for The Bistro Box during Mobile Chowdown 5 this past weekend… The Business: I think this place is new, but I was able to find a Fan Page on Facebook, and it allowed me to find their information. Located in Renton? It’s so close to home!(well, closer than Seattle is). I felt bad because during MC5, this place had steady customers, though no where near the line that El Camion had(which was right next door). However, being that TBB hasn’t earned its place in the hearts of mobile food stand lovers yet, I see why some people might be skeptical to try it. The Food: DELICIOUS. I ordered the coconut chicken slider and had a bite of the kobe beef slider. The coconut chicken was scrumptious! The chicken was breaded and so crispy on the outside and the meat was perfectly cooked and tender on the inside. It felt like I was biting into a fish sandwich(well, almost). The coconut was sweet and delectable. The kobe beef sliders were tasty as well. The aioli it was coated with had a nice spice profile. Both of these little sliders packed a punch of flavor! I’ll definitely be looking for you on the streets! I hope you guys do well :-D
