We went for the after work Happy Hour specials — they’re great! A relaxed vibe, plenty of pool tables, and great beer specials. I’ll return!

Depends on the night. Sometimes you get good service, sometimes not.

Love being ignored by the bartender for 10+ minutes while sitting at the bar trying to get your first drink. Miss the old bartenders. Newer staff is not very attentive.

Great atmosphere. Great beer selection. Good place to hang. Will definitely be back even though I suck severely at pool.

Black Diamond has become a favorite stop for me after work. The beer selection is always good; the nachos and wings are tasty. The wait staff have always been friendly and are usually attentive. TV selection is good for watching a game. The 5:00 crowd is always mellow and I have never encountered any problems.
Bottom line: Great place for pool or an after work drink.

We showed up early for Unilocal event and stayed a while after. The sea of pool tables reminded me of my favorite college bar. There is a wIde selection of beer on tap (or at least there was at the event, don’t know about other times), and the servers were fast and friendly. The parmesan fries and jalapeño wontons were fine for bar food.

Ok, so maybe I don’t get out much, but I just had an incredibly good time here. So the pastrami sandwich may not have been the best I’ve had but its pool hall/​barfood. If you want a 5 star meal see ya, at the Davenport. The atmosphere of this place is off the hook high energy. People playing pool, drinking and having a good time. If you really want to insure you’re well served, find out if a young lady by the name of Adrian is working and, if she is, sit in her section and enjoy your time here.

We always come here because of the decent beer selection. This time was terrible as usual and I don’t think I’ll ever try again.
After calling ahead and asking if the Pinball was working (it wasn’t 2 months ago, stuck right flipper) and was told yes. The pinball was still broken, service so so but the food was absolutely terrible. We ordered Nachos, tater tots, and wings.
Cute waitress was the only thing that saved you from a one star review.

I have been a loyal customer at Black Diamond for around a year. Delicious food and exceptional service. Happy Hour is a must after a long day at work! Great beer and food specials. I absolutley love their flats! You can choose from a variety of toppings, and they are always warm, fresh, and tasty! Prices really aren’t bad during the regular menu pricing, and portions leave plenty for leftovers!
My favorite things about Black Diamond are the attentive staff and owners, their great beer selection, and the overall positive atmosphere. I highly recommend!

The food was not as hoped, ordered the stroganoff and it was so bad that even tho I was starving I had about 3 bites and sent it back. Wasn’t creamy at all, it was just steak strips with a flavorless beef sauce. My husband ordered a steak salad and for $ 14 it barely had any steak and the lettuce was out of a bagged mix (tasted like plastic) and didn’t have any other toppings on it?!? Then we went ahead and ordered dessert, took 40 min for cobbler!!! WTF? Big mistake all the way around. We had to ask for everything, napkins, silverware, salt & pepper… lame. Never going back again, really need to get their act straightened out!!!

Adrienne was one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. A great stop before hitting the grocery store.

So I just have to say this I have been to the black diamond 3 times now first time Adrian gave us great service so we came back and Adrian was there to take care of us again and the service was fabulous she talked with us and really made our experience. So we were excited to come back this Thursday but no Adrian and no service we sat for 15 minutes while the female bartender stared at 3 times then the male working behind the bar liked at us then just kept talking so then another group came in and sat down next to us and there were more of them and still nothing from either of them it’s just sad I was do excited and nothing I work at a local Restuarant in the valley and I’ll say I’m probably the easiest guy to please because I understand when your busy but really just no service when it’s slow it’s going to be hard for me to come back which sucks because it’s close to home …

We came to black diamond last Sunday to use our groupon. The hostess sat us, got us our drinks and told us our server would be right with us. 20 minutes later no one came to take our order or came to check on us. As we watched 2 waitress’ clean up a table together and talk for 10 minutes to each other, we decided to leave. There was blaring heavy metal music in the dining side that made it hard for anyone in the dining area to have a conversation. There should be some separation between the pool hall and the dining room. I would rather let the groupon expire than go back. I do not recommend the black diamond to anyone trying to have dinner. Only to play a game of pool and expect horrible service.

Lots of things to do, pool, darts, shuffleboard, sports on tv, dance floor, lots of seating. Good place to hang out with friends.

Stopped into the Black Diamond last Friday with some friends for a few drinks and eats. The place was pretty busy but we were able to find a table in the pool table area. Our server was outstanding and took great care of us. The beers were cold and the food was tasty. We only got items off the appetizer menu and they hit the spot. Looking forward to going back for some more and playing a few rounds of pool.

Pros: The beer selection and our waitress
Cons: The expensive pool and shuffle board. Also, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap that was on special for $ 7.99. I mistakenly assumed it came with a side of fries. My hubby wanted a side of garlic fries that was $ 6. Guess what? I didn’t get a side. My hubby’s fries came on my plate, which was not a big deal, but there were maybe 20 fries on our plate. So, we paid $ 14 for my dinner and neither of us got full. Boo.

If you like to play pool, this is definitely a good place to go. Lots of room and lots of tables. Despite what one reviewer said, the tables all seemed to be in good shape to me. They also have a dedicated darts area out of the way. This is a plus for me because it seems a lot of places put their dartboards close to where people are sitting or in the path of staff and customer traffic, making game play a frustrating experience.
Also impressed with their wide variety of beers. Spokane is starting to come into its own as a microbrew destination, and the more places like Black Diamond that support craft brews the better.
Unfortunately, the food is pretty average if not kinda disappointing.
Nachos had everything pretty much on top, which means that soon all the goodies were gone and you were left with a ton of sad chips. Taking the time to layer chips and goodies should be taken into consideration, especially for the price of the nachos.
Cheese sticks. Very ordinary. Tasted like something I could have gotten out of the freezer section of the grocery store, complete with freezer burn.
Wings. Standard flavor, again tasted like something from the grocery store.
All the food seems to have a premium price without much real effort on preparation.
I want to end on a positive note, so I will say the staff is all very friendly and they did a good job of tending to our needs. I will probably be back to play pool and have beer, but probably won’t order much food.

Really great beer selection. Terrible atmosphere and definitely a douchey clientele. Lots of pool tables though. Be prepared to hear some Korn and Nickleback on the juke though.

Food was pretty good, hot sandwiches at an equivalent price to other places. Pool table we shot on needed some TLC. One rail needed some work… physics doesn’t explain where the ball went after hitting that rail… and it was the whole section. Not a high class place but drinks and food were good and they have both 7 and 9 foot tables.

Forgot to mention this is the only place I can come to in Spokane Valley for good craft beers. They must have something like 30 beers on tap with some handles that carried monthly to keep things interesting. Always something new to try. If you enjoy good beer you can’t pass this place up.
Also, they have Karaōke at 9pm on Thursday nights which is always a lot of fun. And the club they started on Sat night (they call it Diamond Nights — clever) is picking up and has a good looking crowd.
