Zips is like the Starbucks of burgers in Spokane, I swear. If you don’t have one near you, you must live in a new development. But I digress. Food is always hot and fresh here. Service is usually friendly and pretty quick, except between 11:45 and 12:30 weekdays. But they still try to move pretty fast. If you are unfamiliar with Zip’s, it’s all about burgers for the most part. Their fries are crinkle cut, which I prefer. They also have awesome tater tots and some of the best onion rings on Spokane. They have pretty good chicken sandwiches and strip as well. Their halibut and fresh breaded cod are pretty good too. I would like to see stuff a little cheaper but not too bad overall. And all taste better than McDs. Or most other chains for that matter. Do yourself a solid. Zip into Zip’s

I spent a week in Washington. I saw a number of Zips Drive-Ins, so on my way back home, we stopped at this particular one. I fail to see the attraction. The burgers were tasteless and bland. The fries were cheap, crappy, out-of-the-bag frozen fries. The peach pie shake(which was the daily special) had tiny chunks of peach in it, but tasted nothing like peach. There is a glop called«fry sauce» that you can get for your burgers and fries. It’s basically mayo with a hint of ketchup, and maybe a bit of paprika. It is just the sort of artery-hardening slop that you want at a greasy drive-in like this, and I enjoyed it. The cleanliness of this establishment left a lot to be desired. It was a little dusty, dirty, and had some pleasantly racist old-timey ads on the wall as decoration. The clientele was equally suspect. There was a usual conglomeration of rednecks and obese people, but there was also a woman in front of me at the counter had a visible tattoo on her back that read, «Filipe’s Bitch.» I don’t know who Filipe is, but I think he can do better. I ate the food knowing full well that I was going to be doubled-over with gastric distress within the hour, but that never actually happened – hence my two-star review. I guess it’s a local thing. I don’t get it. Luckily, there are no Zips near me, and I only get out to Washington about once every five years or so. I think I’ll be able to avoid them in the future.

cannot believe the ratings and all the hype about this place. I have nothing good to say about this place so I will leave it at that.

Dicks and Zips– enough said. Best fries on the planet, fry sauce is the business. I remember coming into this zips as a kid and playing the original superman arcade game. This restaurant will always bring back awesome memories. Keep up the good work!

Love Zip’s. SO expensive. I need a bucket of fried mushrooms $ 7 and a shake. Chocolate or maybe cherry. I eat there for about $ 11 and it is horrible because I want it about once a MONTH! 3000000 calories of heart attack. But amazing, and this location is one of the few that is open all night long.
