Went here just wanting a few small pieces of lumber for a project. The employees were very helpful, helping me to find what I need in their odds-n-ends pile to save me money. Then they cut it onto the pieces I needed. I got out of there with exactly what I needed for just a couple of bucks. They have hardware items such as tools, paints, etc. but not as extensive a selection as found in the Ace Hardware in town. Definitely enough for most building projects. The place is located to the east off the main north-south highway so you need to know where you are going. Don’t know? Not to worry. You can hardly get lost in Spooner! Tons of parking out the front door.

This place has by far the worst customer service of any hardware/lumber/building supply store I have ever been! It barely rates one star. From a «salesman» who could not be bothered to make a sale to a cashier who cannot do basic math, it’s like they do not want or need to make a sale. As a prolific DIYer, I have been to many stores and the indifference and incompetence they displayed is comical. I wish the owner had a clue as to why there was not a single customer there on a weekday morning at the height of the building/remodeling season. I drove 50 miles round trip to go somewhere else to get what I needed. Worst ever! Don’t waste your time.
