Billy’s Beef Hot Dogs

Been a customer of this place for a while. After today not anymore… Had RAW chicken inside a chicken wrap. All I wanted was to make them aware of it, I didn’t ask for a discount or anything. A manager told me it was a tendon… I grew up in the restaurant industry, and I really think I know raw chicken when I see it. No Thanks.

Salad was not exactly fresh. The pop machine was being fixed when we got there. Couldnt use it until most of our meal was finished. However the bathrooms are much nicer than you go in expecting!

Have been a long time customer for years ever since he was still in the franchise with the other name until now. Had a burger made wrong (missing bacon and it was so pink i wouldn’t dare to eat it) I call to let them know, they said they would give me a voucher for a meal in the future, the kid working the counter wanted me to bring in the burger so they could inspect it since they didn’t believe me. Fine whatever I brought it in. He remade me my burger that I asked for the first time, but refused to give me the voucher and stated well your voucher was good for the burger you have. I go I paid for that and had to come back, the least you could do is give me a burger for the future. Sorry no, I go fine I want a refund then for my meal because I did not want to eat their anymore. He stated he couldn’t give me a refund because he remade the burger. I said I don’t want the burger and this was very poor customer service. After about 20 – 25 minutes of trying to explain how ridiculous the customer service is that you wouldn’t give me a refund some other girl came over and finally gave me a refund. I asked to have the owners call me. I bet they never got the message. No phone call and you just lost a life long customer. Will spread the word about this poor experience. Would gladly update the rating if things were set right but not after what happened.

I love coming here. Wish I could order one of everything but my stomach just isn’t that big. Try the chopped salad it is as good as potillos. Staff is always super friendly and food always seems fresh. I had a problem with my salad once (they forgot the cheese and croutons) but they took care of it right away and profusely apologized. That is the only problem I have ever had in the two years I have been coming here.

2 years ago I would have given them 5 stars. Best ribs around. Now they are lousy, soaked in vinegar and luke warm. My husband said the burger was ok. I ordered a beef because I couldn’t eat the ribs. The beef was decent, but not worth the money ($ 40 for ribs, burger and a beef, 2 fries with 2 drinks) or the long drive.

The hotdogs and the Italian beefs are very good! And service was also very good. Going to be trying the pulled pork next

Not too bad. Beef sandwiches were good. Not the best ever, but it still took care of my craving. Polish sausage dog was only a half of a sausage on a bun. Not sure if that’s normal here or not. The fries aren’t anything special. I would recommend this place if you want a decent lunch.

Got a couple gyros for me n my wife and they were dried out pitas didn’t even seemed cooked my friend said it was desent but not so tasty we drove half hour to get there cause there’s nothing good by us wast of time

A classic spot to eat in Spring Grove. I’ve been eating here since I was just a boy. The environment has a very burger-​type-​vibe that I can’t really explain. If you’ve ever been to a place like Billy’s you would know what I’m talking about. The menu is on a gigantic banner on the wall with tons beef-​oriented meals along with shrimp and such. Service while paying is always pleasant and the workers there are always polite. On the other hand when it gets busy, orders can really get backed up and you may have to wait a while before you can get your food and get out.
My only complaint is how slow it is sometimes and also the parking lot is really tight so don’t bring the biggest family truck if you’re coming here. If you’re a meat loving person like me, Billy’s is definitely a great choice to satisfy your carnivorous needs.

Brought the family in to Billy’s after strawberry picking at a local farm. Nice atmosphere and great menu to select from. I had Billy’s Bigger Beef combo which was great! Wife was impressed with chopped salad as well. I’ll definitely be back when I visit again.

No exaggerations – the smell in this place made me lose my appetite. It smells like you just dove into a deep fryer. Not to mention, the food is sub-​par but comes at pretty expensive prices. Really don’t recommend.

I stopped at this place for lunch today. It’s a great local place and the food is quite good. Plus they have a lot of options… hot dogs, beef, burgers, wraps, salads, chicken and more! I was in the mood for something different and the buffalo wrap hit the spot. I will definitely remember to put this in my take out routine more often after today. :)

Not too shabby, walk up to the counter, order your meal and wait. The burger was tasty — probably a frozen patty on a chargrill. But it worked out. The bun was nice and fresh, soft and squishy.
My fries were served up piping hot with a sweetish catsup available on the side. Overall, it’s not an outstanding place to eat, nothing very unique here, but the for is good. Ambience, meh not so much.

Overall Billy’s is good. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. The only thing I’m not too fond of is the Italian Beef, but the burgers are great.

Consistently good food and good service. Gyros are tasty. Tables are kept clean. order at the counter. Nothing fancy, but a comfortable atmosphere.
Very good hot dog place.

We have tried much of the menu and have yet to find something we haven’t liked! Good Chicago dog, their gyros are my fave here, wife gets the Italian Beef sandwich, pizza is good, fries are always piping hot and generous sized, unlimited fountain drinks, and they offer Portillo’s chocolate cake as a finisher, but they run out quickly. If you are in the Spring Grove area, do yourself a solid and stop in!

I’m a sucker for places like this. I’m a Chicago girl after all and will gravitate towards any sort of joint with hot dogs, gyros, and italian beef on the menu.
I got a polish with mustard and grilled onions (served on a french roll mmmm) and a side of crinkle cut fries and was very pleased with my lunch for that day.
I think they do pig roasts and I totally support that idea.

Billy’s is a great little beef and burger joint. It definitely has a small town feel, including great, friendly customer service. I love how you can see the meat in the back. It is freshly sliced right there in the kitchen — not frozen and shipped in in a box. Corn dogs are my treat of choice there, as they taste like they are freshly dipped and then fried right there — like a corn dog from the fair… so delicious! Their chocolate cake also gets rave reviews. I am not as much of a sweet person, so I stick with the salty stuff.
It gets pretty crowded over the lunch hour during the week, so if you can, avoid the rush.

Solid lunch stop. I had the gyro, which came as about 8 pounds of pretty good gyro meat, shaved from the cone as required, on a nice pita with tomatoes and a nice helping of tsatziki on the side, so I could dress to my preference. I had to whittle down the meat before I could even fold the pita. My special came with fries, and they were piping hot, golden brown, and well salted, which is nice for a change.
Price was a bit more than I usually spend for lunch, but it was a TON of food, so I have no problem with it — I finished it like a pig and then didn’t need dinner later.
