Food was nothing special. Waitstaff was pleasant(mostly — except for the standoffish woman who took our food order), but ultimately inefficient. Never figured out who our waitress really was — maybe they all work together? But had to ask a few different people for water. Asked random people for ketchup, etc. After our bill was dropped, that was the end of service. The place is also overcrowded with tables. Not planning to visit again — food wasn’t good enough to give the rest of it a second shot.

Service was great, but the food was basically bad hospital food. Bland, bland, bland. The coffee was also a big let down. Brown water.

Very good food, plentiful and this place is spotless clean. Friendly and fast service. Open only for breakfast and lunch. I love the fresh mushroom omelette and awesome home fries. I ask for them extra crispy and they are so good. Note… cash only.

Well, just like the others said this is a really homey little place. I came in and tried the special eggs and scrapple breakfast and it did not disappoint. The only thing is I wish the 2 pieces of scrapple were a little bigger because they were so good!!! The waitress was warm and friendly. Now I know where to get my scapple and it is close to home :) Cash only here okay?

Meh, Located in the same strip mall as Publix near Spring Hill Dr. This is a small place for just Breakfast and Lunch. Service was very slow. Coffee was luke warm. Food was just ok. No big deal. Cracker Barrel and IHOP are better than this place and in Value. If you want great Breakfast in Spring Hill, Stick with Jersey Café. 1000 times better and the price is pretty much the same.

We ate lunch here, and had a decent meal. The service was very good, and we got our food pretty fast too. We’ll have to come back and try the Eggs Benedict that Susan S. mentioned. That’s my favorite breakfast choice! I’ll have to update my review, when I do.

100% the real deal. My first time eating here today and oh boy am I glad we checked Unilocal for a nearby suggestion. I recommend the scrapple and, if you’re a slow cooked grits kinda person like myself, you will NOT be disappointed with theirs. The place was hopping on a mid Sunday morning… I do believe half of Spring Hill was either just finishing up, just sitting down or just arriving! We ordered the 2 egg w/scrapple special and the Eggs Benedict(the hollandaise sauce was incredible!!!). The food arrived quickly and we were impressed with the attention and service we received despite the busyness. Breakfast & Lunch Nook made me homesick as it reminded me of Glen’s Dinette back home in Babylon… great simple fare, comfortable, family run, and a staff that knows most of the patrons by name but is sure to make the newcomer feel just as «at home» as the regular. This will be a regular stop of ours!

Good diner food is a passion; growing up in New Jersey will do that. Although able to forswear the mall hair, the desire for a great diner meal has remains. In this respect, you won’t be disappointed in the Breakfast & Lunch Nook! The place is moderately small, but well staffed. Painted chickens on the wall made me happy and feel like this little family-owned place was decorated by them as well. I had the hot open roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on the side. At the first bite, I sighed in delight and happiness! The corn was fresh and tender, and the sandwich and mashers were out of this world. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs with a roll and a side salad(iceberg-ly uninteresting, but fresh) – served hot, delicious, in a substantial portion and the meatballs were exceptional! The highlight was the homemade apple pie á la mode – a slab worthy of the name slab, with cinnamon baked onto the light, flaky crust, and a generous amount of vanilla ice cream along side. Our server was a delight(and she made me eat my veggies!), and almost all of the customers that came in were greeted by name, and some with hugs. Friendly, genuine and delicious. And worth every inexpensive penny! A wonderful find! CASHONLY! Closed Monday. Tuesday-Saturday 7 am — 2 pm(breakfast ends at 11:30) Sunday(breakfast only) 7 am — 1:30 pm
