When it first opened it was not bad so far as this type of eatery. We used to go there often for lunch, but as time has passed so has the quality. Last couple of times they put uncooked carrots, broccoli and cauliflower in the steam trays. When saying something to the person behind the counter, he was a ticked, said it was fine and would be steamed by dinner. Really. After a couple of raw vegi days we no longer go there. It seems to be turning into the Coral that used to be in Brooksville.

The following is an email I sent to Golden Corral via their website today– I got off work at 3:30 and drove to your restaurant. I walked in about 3:50 and stood in line with about 15 other people. After I paid $ 7.99 for the«early bird»(your term) I had to stand in another line with about 20 people waiting to be seated. As we waited a manager named James began complaining about all the people that«crowd in before 4 o’clock, so they can pay the lunch price and eat prime rib when we start serving dinner in 10 minutes». As I mentioned before, the term«Early Bird» is what is printed on my receipt so it is YOUR term and YOURPROMOTION to get people in BEFORE4PM! James went on with these disparaging remarks for a few more sentence’s when I said«Well I bet GOLDEN Corral is still making some money» and James retorted«Not off these people were not! After 4PM when the $ 13.99’ers come in and pay THEN we’ll make a LITTLE money!» I was one of «those people» James was complaining about and I don’t appreciate it! I showed-up when I showed-up and I paid the amount that the cashier rung-up. And your manager is going to stand right next to a line of 20 customers ANDBADMOUTHALLOFUS!!! ANDSTILLKEEPHISJOB??? After I ate I went into the restroom and there was dried diarrhea all over the toilet and the toilet seat. I have photos if you would like to see them. Thanks for a crappy dining experience today!

Wow, what can I say about this disgusting sorry excuse for a restaurant?! First time I ever went to Golden Corral was in Philadelphia and it was great! It was clean and the food was good. I wanted to take my husband since he has never been there so we went to this Golden Corral since its the only one we have close to home. Well it was horrible and I feel so bad for wasting our money on this crappy place! Service was horrible, staff looked dirty and trashy. The food was DISGUSTING, it was cold and just nasty, flavorless and stale. It smelled horrible inside and it was dirty, hell, even the«CLEAN» plates were DIRTY! Super gross, never coming here again, would not recommend to anyone.

Quickly becoming my favorite restaurant. All food is good, but as a senior citizen I sure enjoy a place I can get a full meal for around $ 8.00.

Please don’t waste your time or money coming here. Cold food. Nice, but not accommodating staff. Yeast rolls are supposed to be hot. We asked for some, but were told we had to eat the cold rolls on the bar. My ice cream cone was definitely the highlight of this trip.

So far on this trip I have been given 4 cold steaks, 1 refill after 20 Min’s of waiting. On the positive side the shrimp was hot and tasty, but the fish taco was dried out. Paying 13.98 with drink well what can one expect.

The staff is very friendly. The food was decent, but a bit salty. The atmosphere is loud… if you want a relaxing atmosphere, go somewhere else. My two boys enjoyed the heck out of it!

returned for a second visit, 10.00 $ for lunch, no beverage, was disappointed by the scant selection of food. meat very scarce at lunch, fried and bar b q chicken legs and thighs, meatloaf, their pot roast, not much more. a lot of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fried okra and mushrooms, cakes cookies, fillers. I can usually eat anything, but food was very salty. fried chkn not as good as it used to be. I mostly ate the fried fish; which was mushy. I left wishing I had bought Chinese take out, or winn Dixie deli chkn.

I would think there would be more seafood variety here in FL. But there’s not anywhere near as much as back in IL ! Salad bar is a hit and miss meaning not always up to par. Fried chicken is not anywhere near as good they must use a diff distrubutor(awesome chicken back home) and maybe the way they cook it– roasted is better. Sloppy upkeep for the most part including the bakery area. Plates are not always clean so beware. Service is better when not real busy but then you worry about how fresh the food is so rather get fresher food than better service ! Will go back for the price and variety but it seems the cooks spend a lot of time talking amongst themselves — who wants to eat a half baked garlic bread or pizza ?? They should also monitor the little children that go up without adults — they touch and feel food and that’s GROSS!

The one thing about a chain like Golden Corral is usually consistency. I did not expect a difference as I found in this one. Being in a retirement area, the lack of handicapped parking is noticeable. The interior layout is strange and is liken to a line buffet. Everything is clean and the food is fresh, however, here it is less seasoning than at other corrals. One big difference is the fried chicken. For some reason this Corral is using a different breading that I’m use to. It tends to be somewhat grainy in texture and not flaky as I have had in the past. The waitstaff is attentive as long as you pick the right section to sit in. My best advice is to find a waiter/waitress that you like and always sit in their section. Hopefully, things will get better as time goes on. and they get the newby bugs worked out. I will continue to frequent this location and will find the best times to eat to avoid the overcrowding. You still can’t beat the value for the sheer quality and quantity you get. It is cheaper than fixing it yourself, and the variety is varied enough to keep boredom from setting in…

I went here and knew what to expect. The food was good and wholesome. The service was good. My only complaint was the steak. My waitress said to order it as they cook it to order. I went up and asked for a piece medium well. The cook took a piece of steak and cut into it and it was very well done. He said is this okay. I said yeah sure. I hope that doesn’t happen again. That was a big turn off!!!

Happy With Everything! We were greeted by a very friendly, enjoyable cashier who pleasantly visited with use while we waited(10 minutes) to be seated. We received attentive service and constant drink refills. Even though we didn’t arrive until about one house before closing on a Friday night, all food items were available and plentiful. Among the four of us, we probably tried every, and it was all delicious. My cooked to order steak was exactly as I requested. We’ll definitely be returning.
