I have been to Kally K’s a few times. Great food for a great price. Has the home style flavor to all its dishes that you can’t get at one of those corporate chains. Salad bar is delicious and my favorite is the rib eye special! Great place to take the family or a large group.

OMG take a look at Health Inspection Report of 9÷11÷15 — EGADS — and this is where my parent likes to go. This place is very popular and they need to clean up their act ! People should not have to worry about how clean this establishment is.

I haven’t been to Kally K since Easter Sunday when I was not particularly pleased but I thought I would give it one more try. I’m glad I did because I was very pleased tonight. Everything on the salad bar was very fresh and tasted good, my dinner was very nicely prepared and I enjoyed it a lot and there was more than enough for take home. I’ll be back.

Great salad and soup bar. We had shrimp and scallops which were lightly breaded. They give you an adequate amount. They were flavorful. The atmosphere was comfortable. Our waitress was conscientious. Try it, you’ll like it!

I went there with my husband and one of our daughters based in the reviews in Unilocal. That was our first mistake. Walked in right behind another family and the greeter for lack of knowing the correct term new the family. The woman started asking about how her family was. That would be fine if they were walking and talking but nope just standing there. We ordered a Greek salad, chicken parm, child’s pasta and mozz sticks as an app. We got our drinks soda and sweet tea quickly. Tea was very fresh. After ordering we waited 30 mind and we still didn’t even how our app yet. Our server never checked up on us or to let us know cheese sticks were coming. After I got his attention we said let’s just get the entire order to go. Now if you do this at many other restaurants they at least ask you what’s wrong. Here nope… server said«ok». Got home my chicken was good but the pasta tasted very cheap. Will not be going back and do not recommend them.

Excellent food and wonderful price… get reservations just a hint. One damn fine Delmonico steak and my partner loved his fried flounder.

I’ve been here twice. This place is a great value. If you don’t mind eating in a restaurant with the much older crowd. The salad bar comes with everything on the menu. Even a sandwich. Comes with 2 different types of soups and breads. Salad bar was clean and everything fresh. We’ve ordered chicken cordon bleu, chicken and veal parmesan(REALVEAL), and also tried the fried shrimp and scallop platter. All meals were very good for the money. You can’t beat $ 10-$ 12/meal here. You leave stuffed. There’s also a full bar, and much quieter in that area if you wish to sit there.

This is the best Value in the area. It has a consistently good self serve salad bar with 2 homemade soups, 2 bread choices and butter, and some sort of pudding and/or fruit for dessert. I love their Chicken Marsala, and their Garlic crusted Pangasius a mild flaky white fish. Do not opt for the Mashed Potatoes they are instant and the gravy fake. If you make this mistake they will quickly come out with steak fries or a baked potato or even sweet potato. The seafood platter combinations never impressed me. Their steaks and sirloin tips are a good deal and usually quite good. In the winter you should get a reservation for dinner, the Sr. Citizens know a deal when they see it, and they get very busy with snow birds. I found the staff to be very friendly and service to be quite good most of the time. I have been eating here for a decade or so 15 times per year and am going again tonight.

My grandmother loves this place, so even though they had a food poison epidemic and are now under new management, I’m still pretty wary when I go in there. The first time I tried their captains platter. Tasteless and soggy breaking on flimsy seafood. Their salad bar is pretty small filled with lettuce, a few toppings, and a small assortment of noodle salad, potato salad cole slaw &2 soups –nothing of which are impressive. The second time I was once again forced to go there even though I had no interest in it. Again I had a bland experience. I ordered the turkey BLT that had barely any meat, and was all lettuce/tomato. It was served with a serious small side of about 10 fries. This place has tasteless food and it feels like your in a funeral parlor. There’s a reason why you only see the elderly in here. I am putting my foot down on going here a third time. Terrible.

There was nothing good about coming here. My main dish of shrimp was OK. The salad bar was awful! Very small and limited. Server always talking to what looked like a manager by the entrance to the dining area and failing to refill drinks and see how things are. Possibly worst of all was the fact that one fly kept buzzing around my table, and at least 6 of them made themselves comfortable around the salad bar flying in circles like they were drunk on whiskey. Very unsatisfactory and pesky experience.

This is by far the best restaurant in Spring Hill. I’ve been meaning to update my review for a while! My parents even said they thought it was superb!!! Try the Veal Parm and Lamb Shanks!

Despite the lackluster health record(and apparently getting a bunch of people sick in 2011), we decided to give Kally K’s a chance. Unfortunately, in the three times we’ve gone, our meals have been consistently poor in quality and preparation. The service is very inattentive, although polite when they’re around your table. If you’re self-sufficient(willing to get your own silverware off of another table, willing to stack up plates on the edge of the table if they aren’t cleared, etc), you shouldn’t have TOO much issue with the service. Wednesday nights, the«all you can eat fried fish» is a decent value. You’ll end up making use of the salad bar and soups(which is fresh and of decent variety for a free add-in) because it takes so long for extra servings to come out. In a 1.5 hour visit, they managed to get two plates out to me before they ran out of tartar sauce and I finally left due to the long wait for the next plate of the«all you can eat» offering. We hit McDonalds on the way home, sadly. On a side note, the presentation of the food was tasteful enough, and I was complimented by the hostess for removing my hat(in a restaurant full of people wearing them). After three chances, I think I’m done with them.

I have been to Kally K’s several times and always get the same thing because I love it… Garlic Crusted Pangaseous. The salad bar is just ok… they only offer iceberg lettuce. I do like their pea soup. I ordered mashed potatoes as one of my sides and they were instant. YUCK. The gravy served on it was fake tasting as well. I told the waiter and he was happy to switch it out to a baked potato which was very good. They will give you real butter if you ask for it. My husband and friends all ordered the all you can eat Thursday special of BBQ ribs. I tasted one and it was very good. They were VERYVERY slow in bringing their second order though. I am sure I will return to Kally K’s a few times a year if they continue serving the garlic crusted pangaseous.

Excellent stuffed shrimp. My mother and I come here alot for the shrimp. My father likes the steak. Good offering at salad bar– great pumpernickel bread. We were originally worried about the norovirus outbreak but the restaurant was closed, cleaned up. As a doctor, I know how easy it is to transmit viruses(just look at the cruiseships) and this restaurant deserves a second chance.

Waitress was nice. Salad bar lacked variety. My sirloin was over cooked and not very juicy. Prices are very reasonable. Clean inside despite the out dated exterior. This experience was moreso a 3.5 out of 5. I would go again if I wasn’t leaving to go back home tomorrow.
