Who ever thought it was a good idea to open a restaurant that seems to never have more than 2 teens running the place needs a lesson in business. There were 20 people waiting for food. One girl at the register that had no idea of what they had or why she was there, one girl in the back I’m sure working her tail off. They were out of several item on the menu and no one was told until they already paid for the order. The BBQ was just OK and it took 25 minuets to get 2 sandwiches on a Thursday night. This restaurant has no soul or personality and we will never step foot back inside. What a shame!

I had the bbq nachos. The bbq was good, the cheese was that nasty cheese out of a can you get at football games. The sauces was just okay. I doubt I will be back.

I was largely underwhelmed by this place. The mac and cheese was too bland, the«cheesy potatoes» we okay, the pulled pork was… tepid and needed more seasoning, and the sweet tea wasn’t sweet. Service was charming yes but in the end when I hear BBQ in the South I have expectations… I would have been more impressed had it been overloaded with homemade sauce or something but everything honestly just tasted… under seasoned. Normally I disregard reviews of places with only a few reviews since I assume they post about extremely good or bad experiences… but alas this one is spot on. This may have been an amazing place once… but with the price for everything I say go elsewhere if you’re really craving a BBQ meal.

Not Good Enough! We had hoped it would be better as it’s so close to home. We both had plated, my wife pulled pork and I had pulled beef. Neither met our expectations. The pork was lacking smokie flavor and the beef was tough. We both had fries(they were good) and she has the vinagar slaw(ok) and I had mac and cheese(OK) and we each got a corn muffin(quite dry). The prices were on par with the bigger better bbq restaurants. The portions somewhat small. Overall, we were disappointed and won’t be going back. Too bad, we were hoping for more.

What happened to my barbecue place? What happened to great service, good prices and quality food? I wish I knew because I would fix the issues quickly. My entire family, including distant family in Ohio were disappointed to hear JJ’s closed and equally excited when it reopened. Unfortunately, this place bears the same name but the food and prices have changed. A meal for two could cost around $ 16 – 18 dollars with any fixings you desired. Now, don’t expect to leave for less than $ 25. Talk about an up charge for moving locations. The food has changed slightly as well. The coleslaw is basically mayo with a little cabbage. The baked beans are bland and tasteless. The white beans lack any resemblance of flavor. The pork has more fat than usual. Pros: Loaded Pork Potatoes Cons: Prices Changes

Disappointing. Had a sandwich combo. Meat was shredded beef. Not much on a small hamburger bun, and it was dry and not much flavor. My side was mac and cheese … Grocery store boxed noodles.
