This Winn Dixie used to be a Sweetbay for a short time. It’s an average sized Winn Dixie that has all of the grocery essentials that one might need, but perhaps less of the promotional/seasonal items that you might see at the large stores. It’s always kept clean and organized, and it’s much less busy than the Publix across the street. If you just need a few things and want to be in-and-out quickly, this is a much better bet. The employees are friendly and attentive.

— Meat Prices — Courteous Staff We usually go here for the meats. They are fresh and at a better price than publix and sometimes Sam’s Club. The fruit and veggie section has a little to be desired from. It lacks variety and sometimes freshness. Most of the time I will go here for my shopping and jump across the street to Publix for salads and fruits. The staff here are always smiling … never met personnel that wouldn’t help. It is a nice place with great sales. If you’re looking to save money … check out the online flyer first. However, they sometimes they have surprise sales so always check the meats for the great deals!

I’ve been shopping here many times, and although the selection is generally good, my main issues have been with the checkout process. I come here primarily because prices for the Sanderson farms chicken are fantastic, not to mention when it goes on sale. But don’t bother coming here if you just want to buy meat because particular things often go out of stock and take quite a while to restock. aside from the high incredibly turnover rate of cashiers, checking out here is a gamble and more often then not ends up being very painful. If you’re lucky, checking out a few items can take quite a while. If you’re unlucky(or want to use any sort of coupon or offer), expect to wait a LONG time. I’ve even had managers tell me that they wouldn’t accept their own coupons that they publish in the newspaper. Other times I’ve been told that the coupons I printed off of their own website were fake. Sometimes a cashier won’t scan my coupons and I’ll then have to walk up to customer service to have my entire purchase redone to have a few coupons added. The last time I came in for tomatoes and hot peppers, the tomatoes were an ugly, dull colour with a greyish hue and the peppers looked old and wrinkly. Otherwise, the rest of the produce looked alright.
