I’ve been traveling all over the U.S. for work and this gem makes me look forward to my time at Ft. Bragg. Best General Tso’s I have ever had. This place is not typical anywhere else but near and around Fayetteville which have such awesome Asian cuisine and even then it’s still the best. Everything here is BHOMB

Average Asian cuisine. Nothing special, but nothing terrible either! So we would probably come back if we needed something quick and close by!

Asked for bone in ribs got a cup off pieces of cut up pork. The lady at the counter was rude but the bathroom was clean.

Been going here for over 5 years now and never had a problem. Once I start my order, they finish it because they know me so well. I have yet to find another place with similar quality and taste in the area.

So I decided to check this place out. The food was cooked all the way through and prices seemed reasonable, a typical Chinese restaurant for sure the only downfall was the attitude of «Chang» I believe was the gentleman at the cash register. I understand you do this everyday ask day but treat you’re customers right they are the reason you’re still in business.

Ordered boneless spareribs, Singapore chow mei fun, sesame chicken, and crab Rangoon. Sesame chicken was okay. The sauce was not dark like most places. It had a yellow hue almost like it had food coloring it. Lots of cornstarch here. Sauce was almost congealed. The egg roll that came with it was tough and chewy. Generally, I don’t eat them anyway. I prefer spring rolls but tested this one for this review. I have had better. Crab Rangoon was almost bland, with no real intense flavor. Most places are too sweet. They get points for not having overly sweet filling but it was also not very flavorful. The best portion of the meal was the chow mei fun. It was very spicy with nice flavorings of curry, and plenty of meat. They are fast. We are a 10 minute drive from this place and when hubby walked in the door the food was ready for pickup and was nice and hot when we sat down to eat at home.

We decided to stop in after a haircut at fantastic sam’s. we ordered the potstickers, and a beef and broccoli plate that included fried rice and an egg roll. The potstickers were good enough, but the dipping sauce, which I LOVE, was only so so. Onto the beef and broccoli. The sauce was really congealed. It just didn’t have good taste and the texture was off. I suspect it was reheated sauce because I cook Asian food at home and cornstarch is unforgiving. It will not reheat well. The beef was fatty and rubbery. The broccoli was good and crisp, but again, the globs of congealed brown sauce was gooped on the broccoli. The fried rice had not a vegetable in it. Not even a solitary carrot cube. Not a single little piece of egg. A few stray pieces of pork. It tasted more like Mexican rice then fried rice. Was seriously bummed about the rice. The egg roll was alright. I’m new to the area so I will continue my quest for decent takeout. Or better yet, make it myself at home!

Although this place looks like a typical fastfood Chinese restaurant in the area, the food here is exceptional! I’m always happy with the food here. I HIGHLY recommend the Mongolian Beef.

There are perhaps approximately eight Chinese restaurants in all of the Fayetteville/Spring Lake/Ft. Bragg community, but this is the only one that I had tried during my visit to the area. Of the Chinese menus that I’ve reviewed in the area, all are similar. The price points aren’t bad. You get eight potstickers with a soy/vinegar dipping sauce for $ 3.65. Most menu items are available in pint or quart size serving options. My husband tends to order the beef and broccoli and also the sesame chicken. Both were fairly tasty. I ordered a moo goo gai pan, which was chocked more with vegetables than chicken. The packaging really needs work. Both the beef and broccoli and moo goo gai pan, which had lots of sauce/gravy, were purposefully packaged in propped open chinese take-out boxes although I’m not sure why. The only item that was sealed shut was the sesame chicken. This dish should consist of crispy chicken glazed with a sweet and tangy sesame sauce, but was soggy by the time I made the three minute drive home. It was still good though. Unfortunately, the hot and sour soup did not fair as well in my opinion. It was neither hot nor sour.
