Always like going to Fletchers on the lake — winter or summer. The food on the docks isn’t as good as inside, but it’s still OK. Service early /late summer can get really rough before/after the college servers come/go to school. Parking can also be a drag via car and boat if it’s super busy. All in all, they have a great environment there, and after all — in summer, you should slow down and deal with slower service… chillax for crying out loud.

The food is good. Don’t expect anything fancy. Fletcher’s is all about location. When it comes to summer in Minneapolis, it’s not complete without a boat excursion onnLake Minnetonka and a stop on the Fletchers Wharf. Usually have live music on the weekends in the summer.

This is the place to be on summer Monday nights. It literally seems like everyone(and their neighbors, and brothers, and mothers) are there. $ 5 for a half-pound burger(not your flimsy flat-as-a-pancake patty) and $ 2.50 for Leinie’s Summer Shandy. You pay cash at the grill ahead of time so it’s best to come prepared, then you order drinks and sides with the servers. If you like burgers well-done, be sure to say something first otherwise they are pretty pink. It’s a great deal though and even they aren’t the best burgers around, it is well worth it for five bucks. Plus, when it’s great weather, what’s not to like about sitting on a patio with a thousand of your closest friends and community members. Also, be nice to your servers and don’t forget to still tip… Needless to say, the location is great being right along the water, where boats can park right up at the docks. There’s a couple sand volleyball courts too which can be fun for those nice Minnesota days. I most recently tried their brunch for the first time, which is a delicious buffet with, now let’s see if I can remember everything: Eggs Benedict, hash browns, eggs, a variety of meats, cheeses, salads, pastries, prime rib, omelettes, waffles, some quite decadent desserts and a chocolate fountain my oh my that was a mouthful. There could be more but that covers the gist of it… and all this for $ 25. Oh and you also get a free mimosa or orange juice! I love buffets, and this one did not disappoint. I wouldn’t expect the highest quality of everything, but still no complaints. I left happy and full… nay, completely stuffed. Coffee is of course separate and was not anything to rant and rave about. To be honest, I expected a bit higher quality but oh well. The total ended up being just short of $ 60 for the two of us but I also didn’t each anything except a very light dinner the rest of the day, so take that for what it’s worth. It was a nice sunny day, so it was a beautiful view over the water with lots of natural lighting. Our server was friendly and kept telling us to go back and get more food(ha! Will do sir) and kept up with clearing our plates as needed(coffee refills on the other hand weren’t quite as quick). He was great though and it was an overall enjoyable experience. I definitely would come back for the Monday night burgers and possibly for the Sunday brunch buffet… especially if I don’t have to pick up the tab hehe

Worst burger in history. A great patio that doesn’t even try with food because people will pay just based on place. Lazy approach to customers So bad it was actually funny

We had a great experience here. Came as a group of 26 after a memorial service. Called for a reservation and were told that they don’t make them on the casual side. When we arrived, they were holding a whole section of the patio for us, and the waitress was attentive, kept our separate checks straight, took care of all of our party, and was friendly and smiled the whole time. Food was good, nothing extraordinary but very edible, and good kids options(fruit or a salad instead of fries). We were very pleased with the experience.

I wish I could give 2.5 stars because even though the patio sandwich pricing and quality was expensive and poor; it’s still a nice, chill patio to relax on. They got our food out quick but it showed. I am willing to go again due to everyone raving about the summer patio but it seems a little over rated.

Great brunch berth tons of options, but I have to confess the last few times we have been here we have used the groupons. We did the fine dining area and you do forget that they offer some nice local, upscale dining at good prices.

Lord Fletcher’s offers a good atmosphere to dine. There is a slight townie feel to it, but not in a bad way. Quiet, homey, with a great menu in the Americana genre, there are some good twists on classic dishes, like the bison meat loaf. The quality of the food is very good and the service staff are friendly and professional with an easy manner. While costing more than your average dinner, it’s not problematically expensive and worth what you pay for. Oh, and complimentary valet service!

Go to Fletcher’s for a view of the lake but the food is overpriced and mediocre at best $ 9 for a basket of tater tots! Seriously?

I visited in the winter during their $ 20 Sunday brunch all you can eat buffet. The view of the marina had turned into a still calming view of the frozen bay with a few people taking up Sunday broom ball. The restaurant itself had a country club atmosphere and seemed like a nice place to relax the day away. The buffet had several offerings ranging from eggs benedict, sausage, and hash browns to bolognese pasta, bison stir frye and prime rib. An in depth salad bar included broccoli salad, brussel sprout salad, and Ahi Tuna salad, among others. Fresh fruit was off to the side along with many deserts including pumpkin pie, raspberry cheese cake, and key lime pie. They also offered endless mimosas, champaign, or orange juice. The food itself was mostly hit or miss. Some of the salads were delicious, with some of the main courses tasting as if they were left in the heated catering tray a little too long. To their benefit of their doubt, I did visit just before the end of the brunch, so the food may have been fresher earlier in the morning.

Let’s be real. You’re not coming to lord Fletcher’s for fast service or top notch customer service. You come here to drink, play sand volleyball with the locals, and to talk about the latest gossip in Minnetonka including who has the better boat. It’s jam packed on the weekends-keep a lookout for tables about to leave and swipe me quick! The bartenders and servers are actually pretty nice — service is a little slow but who cares if your beer is over half full! $ 5 you call it shots when nighttime turns around, which keeps the tab budget friendly. Right off the dock, there are so many fish!!! I’m talking massive 3 to 4 feet fish-you see a lot of the kids feeding em or in this case the drunk adults trying to catch them with their bare hands. Lots of areas to sit around and get cozy near a fire pit. Get here early to get a spot for your boat otherwise you’ll just have to glide by and wave to lord Fletcher’s because parking spots fill up real quick. I’d recommend making friends with the folks that have a boat and buy em a round of shots to sweeten the deal :)

A staple stop when around the lake Minnetonka area. Service was OK. they were busy as always and that affects things. The gill they have going on the deck smokes people out. The burgers they have are. OK at the very best. I get its only a $ 5 burger; but these arent worth it. bland, way over cooked. This place is all about the patio. Food is OK, service can vary greatly pending whom you get. Good spot to people watch.

You know how when something get’s hyped up so much that you expect the best and then when you experience it it feels meh? That’s how this story begins. Ended up here after enduring 30 minutes of having the place hyped up by one of my friends the day before, so I decided to give it a shot. That might have something to do with just giving the place 3 starts, but I have to say I was not impressed. The one thing that is impressive is how packed this place gets on a Monday evening. ITGETSPACKED due to the $ 5 burger(cash only) and $ 2.50 beer deal, but there’s plenty of seating so there’s always someone leaving. The place is gorgeous, with a huge deck next to the water. And if you’re one of the area’s high rollers you can arrive by water. They also have sand volleyball going on, so there’s plenty of stuff to do here. Service was mediocre, it was busy, however most of the waitresses are young and look inexperienced(a plus is that most of them are also very easy on the eyes so it makes having to explain things twice a little more bearable). I asked her what the drink specials were and she said there were no drink specials until 9pm, so I ordered a $ 4 Pacifico, only to find out about the $ 2.50 special afterwards… mildly irritating. The burger was ok — just OK. I biked 35 miles before getting to this place, so I was ready to devour just about anything. Sadly, the food did not hit the spot, something that wasn’t too hard considering how hungry I was. A shoe sole would probably have tasted good. But I wont complain too much for $ 5. Loved the drink prices. We also had the cheese curds and they were great(and pricey, as most of the menu that is not on special). I’d probably come back when I’m in the area for another nightly special but my expectations will be very reduced. I suggest you do the same and maybe you’ll like it better.

Ate downstairs on the water, the atmosphere was as expected. Good was delivered very fast which was shocking. Order the Ahi appetizer, Mahi Mahi tacos and the walleye wraps. Unfortunately the speed was the most incredible part. Boats and music very entertaining, food so so, false expectation.

HORRIBLE. I have never felt so disrespected and terrified… I was here last week for my boyfriends high school reunion and the night ended with me nearly having a stroke because I thought the valet stole my car. No, seriously. Allow me to explain… Upon arrival we see multiple signs up that simply read, «Complimentary Valet». I assume that the valet is for the event, I give the guy my keys, it is approx. 8:00pm. Around 9:30 we were ready to leave. There were still plenty of people in the bar downstairs, and the reunion had a few hours left. But the valet was no where to be found so I asked another staff member where he was and she was genuinely confused, stammering like, «umm… ahh… I don’t know… Maybe you should just get your keys out of there yourself then???» Now here’s where I start to worry. Surely she isn’t saying that just ANYONE can walk into the key room and grab at keys? That would be absurd. The key room is outside; if the door is not secured, any random person could walk in and steal a car. There’s no way in hell that this is what Lord Fletcher’s does… OHWAIT. It is. She shows us outside and pushes the key-room door open: no lock, no code, no lights, no security. The door swings open and wouldn’tchya know it, there are no keys on any of the hooks. My stomach drops, my knees start shaking, my mind is clouded with profanity but I’m unable to speak. My boyfriend demands to see the manager. Manager comes up and I tell him that the valet is gone and my keys are not in the key room. Now, like I said before, the sign only said«Complimentary Valet», it doesn’t say a time frame, so I ask the manager why the active valet-time wasn’t posted, or why the valet didn’t tell us that he would be closing up soon when we gave him my keys? Manager wouldn’t answer my questions, he’d just say, «it’s fine… I’m going to figure this out… It’s fine.» but the guy looked terrified. He hurries out to the key room, sees that it’s empty, runs to the phone and starts dialing numbers. I’m choking back tears so my boyfriend and I step outside while manager’s calling, so I’m not sure what he was saying or who he’s talking to but he seemed frantic. After a solid 5+ minutes(which might not sound long but when you think your Land Rover has been stolen, it’s forever) he runs downstairs and finally comes back up with my keys. My car was not stolen, but car theft isn’t the issue here. The issue is that the valet just up and left. The issue is that the valet times aren’t posted which led to some serious emotional distress. The issue is that the key-room is NOTSECUREDINANYWAY and is practically an OPENINVITATIONFORCARTHEIVES. The issue is that the manager and staff are unaware of what is happening at their restaurant, when things close, where employees are, where keys are abandoned. The issue is that this establishment has no respect for it’s customers’ safety, well being, and trusted possessions. I will never return here, and I will continue to actively warn friends and family to avoid this place at all costs. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Honestly.

Excellent summer spot. Plenty of parking for your car or boat. Nice wharf menu for the dockside summer meal. Quite the collection of young kids all the way to the prowling cougar. I’ve played in a few volley ball leagues here and had a blast. I like the chicken Cesar wrap with tater tots, the best part is the croutons inside the wrap Keep up the good work Fletcher’s, we’ll see you next summer.

For my second food experience at Fletcher’s I give them three stars. I tried a famous Walleye wrap sandwich and my fiancé got the Bacon Cheeseburger. I liked the burger better of the two but the bacon was a little under cooked and limp. The walleye itself was delicious and I enjoyed the almonds they serve it with. That added a nice texture to the wrap. I also added tomatoes but was disappointed there was no salt or pepper shakers on the outdoor tables. I’m sure they do that for ease of clean up and set up but the little paper packet of pepper in with my plastic silverware wasn’t enough for my wrap and side salad. Overall the flavor of my wrap was a little bland but I did enjoy the fresh tartar it was served with. I paid $ 2 extra to add a side salad instead of fries(wish that didn’t cost extra) and it was OK. It was mixed lettuce and sunflower seeds. I would find another ingredient or two if it were me, but the lettuce was fresh and not iceberg so it worked! The service on the deck was pretty quick and we especially appreciated that because we were hungry when we came off the lake. It’s easy to access from a boat and overall a good, cost effective stop for food!

This is a western suburb classic! I mean classic since I have been going since I was a little girl. You can visit Fletcher’s by boat or car. Summertime it’s hopping! If you like people watching… Just wait! The boats are huge and you just never know who will be stepping off or stumbling off for that matter. You get all walks of life here… Families included more towards the daylight hours. The drinks are great… I love the electric lemonade’s. The deck food is typical bar food, the service is sketchy, but Lake Minnetonka just sucks you in! Inside the dining is much more upscale and the service is much better too. The food has gotten better inside. It’s pricey but what to you expect? I will always visit Fletcher’s just because its a classic and on the lake!
