My wife and I shared our brother/​sister 20th wedding anniversary at Vineyard Hacienda. Very charming place. Five vineyards close by with free wine tasting for guests and a vineyard on site too! Close to all the sites in San Diego but you’re out in the country here. If you want to stay somewhere elegant, relaxing, and unique, this is the place. We had a great time. Website has a great video overview of this beautiful property. Thanks to George and his wife for being such gracious hosts.

Beautiful property. Lovely hosts. George and his wife have definitely created a paradise, and allow other to share it. I thought everything was perfect, a most beautiful home. They make their own wine, share lots of things with their guests. Huge pool house with pool and ping pong table inside, along with a full kitchen, nice outdoor kitchen, pool, jacuzzi. Peaceful, quiet, just a pleasure to stay at. Definitely staying again when I am in town next week, heck might make it my new toto. It’s only 20 minutes from 32 St. Navel Base. They are definitely military friendly, George was a diplomat overseas before he retired.
