I was hunting for another buffet awhile back, and tried this… Fairly disappointing. Food was very bland, and service was almost nonexistent. Enough said!

I’ve been here three times. Each & every time I’ve been disappointed. The first time I wasn’t feeling well to start with, so I didn’t think anything of it when the food tasting bad. The second time, about a month later, again, food tasted bad & the service was snotty. The last & final time we went, was after church, there were dead flies beside the food on the buffet, & when I finally got someone to fix this, all they did was pick them up with their BAREHAND! Didn’t remove the food, next to where they were, just the dead flies & I didn’t see them go wash up afterwards! We left & went somewhere else after paying to eat there. So no, I do not recommend this place & if they gave the option of zero stars, that’s what I would have given.

My first review was about exactly one year ago, and I have to downgrade my rating. In fact, sadly, if we could give NO star, I would do so. Like other reviewers have pointed out, the place has been on a steady decline for the past year. I went there for the first time in awhile about three weeks ago. Quality of food and temperatures and attention of wait staff was way off, and the men’s restroom was filthy! I brought that to the attention of the manager and I never saw him bother to take care of the problem. I went back this evening, and it was awful, though the restroom was not utterly disgusting like before. The quality of the sushi is so low. I’ve never made sushi at home, but I know I could produce better. The temperature of almost all the«hot» foods was barely warm. I finished eating about an hour and a half ago, and I’m still wonderning if I will be sick! I will say, though, that they are not THE worst in the area — that dubious distinction is still earned by their neighboring Chinese buffet — Beijing Buffet — in the same shopping center. There is now no longer any Chinese buffet not only worth eating at in The Woodlands, but neither of the two are even safe! I worked at buffets in the past, so I know what I’m talking about. There are still three half-decent ones in Conroe, and I do not know of any in Spring. Sad… just sad.

A total disappointment with fried choices. Cheese puffs and fried bananas taste like fried in constant reused cooking oil. Donuts were tasteless. Other choices were alright.

This place does not deserve a star!!! The food seemed old, as if it was reheated food from the day before! The pepper steak was cold, the shrimp were hard m!!! Not worth trying! I DONOTRECOMMEND this place at all!!! Waste of money!!!

The service here is fantastic. The buffet is always hot and full of choices even for the pickiest eater. Sushi bar served throughout the day. My husband even was able to specially request kimchi the last time we dined here and they were able to provide him with a plate of kimchi on this dining experience. We highly recommend stopping in and trying a bite.

I wish I could put zero stars! Gross please never come here! Food is horrible. The customer service is worst. I told my waiter in a nice way that I couldn’t eat the food. The first thing she says to me is «well everyone else like the food» and the she looks at me as if I am suppose to continue to eat that nasty food. She goes to get her manager and he repeated the same thing. «Everyone else eat the food, how can you no like.» There were three tables of people eating around dinner time. My question to him is «who is everyone else because I see just around 6 – 7 people eating your slop» it’s makes no sense to me how people can be so rude. Then he made us pay half of the food that we did not even eat. I ate a quarter size portion which was brown inside and I knew I wasn’t going to eat that shit! I hope they close down soon for the public’s welfare. Even if they were to clean up and serve better food their customer service probably will never change. And it seems to me that they feel like they are better than Americans by the way the talk and look. They will feed us anything I’m telling you. Beware and don’t eat it!!!

I wasn’t expecting much. And they delivered. This was the worst food, next time I’ll run to Kroger and get some Chinese from the freezer section. I think they were serving food from the week before.

The food was old and horrible. The only thing that was good was the lemonade and sweet tea. The buffet was definitely over priced.

Food is never fresh Ceiling tiles(most of them) mildewed condensation dripping from a/c vents, which leaves carpet wet leading to musty smell in entire restaurant This place needs new management and lots of money put into interior(exterior not looking good either)

This place used to be a decent and affordable establishment, but the quality of the food, the condition of the restaurant, and the level of attention from the staff has all declined over the last year. I used to eat here quite frequently with family, but our patronage fell off as we found other establishments closer to home. Was in the area, so on a whim I returned here on a Tuesday evening for a quick solo dinner, and was sorely disappointed. The steam tables used to be piping hot, and the food used to be visibly fresh. On my visit, steam was barely visible at the buffet, and some zones seemed to be barely working. Food had obviously been there for hours: dried out fish, rubbery and tough chicken skewers, sauces reduced down to nothing in the chafing dishes, and some dishes had a dull appearance indicative of long exposure to air. The wasabi tasted metallic and«off». The only things that looked promising were fried. The staff seated me quickly, but my table was only visited once by the server after that, and that was to hand me the check and ask if I wanted something to drink. Dirty dishes remained on the table when I left. While there was someone behind the sushi bar during my entire visit, they were having difficulty maintaining a production level necessary to support the meager number of customers in the restaurant. The tabletops were clear, but not clean. Whatever cloth they were using to wipe the tables down must have been greasy and in need of a wash. Restrooms were deplorable and reminiscent of a broken down gas station in the middle of nowhere. At one time, this location was a «go to» standby for a quick and practical meal, but the decline in every aspect of its quality will keep me away with little chance of returning.

Don’t eat here! We ate here for a late lunch today at around 3:30. VERY disappointed. The food was less than good. It tasted and looked old. It was NOT fresh. The soup buckets had burnt residue around where the«fresh» soup once was. The meats were tough and did I mention they were NOTFRESH. And the only thing my daughter likes, the chicken for sweet and sour chicken, it was so tough my daughter wouldn’t even eat it. The«sushi» bar looked horrible, I don’t know who would even think it was fresh. I was afraid to eat anything because I was afraid we might get sick. Just because a rush of people aren’t coming through at that time of day doesn’t mean they don’t want fresh food. Our first choice was Bejing Buffet behind them but their buffet didn’t open until 5. At least they have fresh food, that is where we will be going from now on. The buffet bar itself was low on food and needed cleaning. Behind the sushi bar was disgusting. The desserts looked like rubber. I wasn’t about to try the fruit as it looked like it had been at the wrong temperature and been sitting out all day. This place looks outdated and is HIGHLY in need of a serious deep cleaning everywhere. Please take my advice, DONOTEATHERE! Unless the completely overhaul the entire resturaunt and I don’t see that happening after all these years. I gave them 1 star because I can’t give it ZERO! Someone needs to shut them down. Sorry but this is the truth.

The best thing to do is take my word for it. Run as fast as u can don’t even try it. Food was old and left over from lunch. Place was dirty and smelled horrible. I tried to be fair and give the benefit of doubt but the place is just bad on so many levels.

We were looking to try something different as opposed to the PF Changs of the world and we landed at 88 buffet. Terrible and a place to avaoid. We had an open mind and the exterior looks presentable, so we tried it and it is the worst food and experience at a restaurant. Food, it felt like eating yesterday’s food that was drenched in overused cooking oil that was never changed and food was just heated in a microwave. It was 6.30pm on a weekend and food was extremely limited with a few pieces of items here and there. It is like scrapping the bottom of the barrel for food. Nevertheless, I came out hungry and felt like I just drank cooking oil that was used a million times. Cleanliness, I expect at least the buffet area to be decently clean. If you look at the glass stand covering the buffet lines, you will see a coat of dust and grime on the horizontal glass panel. The untidiness behind the sushi prep area deterred me from eating any of their sushi. It was so unorganized and there was a smell coming from that area. Don’t think it is worth the risk when you play Russian roulette with eating uncooked food from a questionable place. I give the waitress credit for keeping the chair and tables clean. Environment, front entry looks inviting. While I was there, how does the waiter drop a tray of water and then the kitchen staff drop a bunch of bowls. I don’t see anybody juggling any chainsaws, nor any live animals. The waitress was friendly, and came by every 10 – 15 minutes, if not, she will be in the corner by the TV and using her cell phone. Guess it helps to kill time when there is nothing to do. Toilet, horrible stench when you first open the initial door. I am not going to elaborate on what it smell like and I had to use it a few times. Makes me want to puke in my mouth whenever I think about it. Sink was full of watermark and mold. Toilet paper outside one of the toilet stalls. I did not use the toilet stalls or go close to that area, other than to just wash my hands. Somebody earlier mentioned about McDonald’s nearby, you get better food and environment any time — not that McD is the good but this just shows the crappy place.

This place is pretty fantastic for a buffet. They’ve got an amazing variety of food, and it’s all competently done. Oh, some of the items are blander than they should be, or sweeter than they should be(which seems to be true at EVERY Chinese buffet), but they’re not bad. It’s a good place for a crowd, as the dining room is very large, and with the huge variety(including chicken nuggets, fried fish, and other non-Chinese items), everyone will be able to eat something.
