This is one of our favorite places to get breakfast tacos! Such a great little food truck. The seating area they built for it is quirky but nice! It’s covered so you don’t have to worry about getting rained on & there’s a lot of seating space. Not too sure about the chips though — they’re buffet style so anyone can just reach on in!

One of my favorite places for tacos! Lots of excellent food for a good price and a great place to sit and relax while you eat, what more can you ask for?

After hearing some positive reviews of this small taco stand just south of The Woodlands, I decided to load up my son and give it a spin. For those looking for fine dining, this ain’t it, but if you like some south of the border comfort food, it hits the spot. The menu isn’t huge but the large fajita beef soft taco hit the spot. Stuffed full of flavorful beef fajita and white Mexican cheese, it was delicious. The boy got several breakfast egg, chorizo, and cheese tacos, which didn’t disappoint either. Several homemade salsas, cilantro, and lime are also available to top off the goodies. One warning at least for the next few months, it is a little warm, it is a covered eating area with multiple fans, but still warm in the summer… shorts T-shirts and sandals work all day here! Two thumbs up!!!

Love this place! Reminds me of a taqueria back home. Definitely coming back. The tacos are delicious. Charro beans are good, but lacked a little salt. I had the Gringa taco… delicious! Hoping to try the actual Charro potato on my next visit. Pricing was decent.

Good food, except they forgot half our order and didn’t serve what we did order with what the menu said it came with. They also overcharged us, which was nice. thanks for that — won’t be back.

This place is really good! Breakfast taco favorites were chorizo and potato. The lunch/dinner beef or chicken with onion, jalapeño and pineapple were amazing! Could bring our dog as well and is BYOB which is a great addition! Of course the natural coca-cola in a bottle is awesome as well! Wish they had a spicier salsa but this is a great place to get a snack or a full meal for a decent price too!

Wow! I was not expecting this experience this morning at Charro Potato. What a find! This isn’t your typical restaurant, but more like an upscale, fresh, covered-patio food truck with service. Outside is well landscaped, with even an area where they might be selling pottery and flowers one day. Inside is an open air, covered patio. Tables and chairs are clean, and place is bright giving you that beach bar feel. Food was the highlight. Since it was morning, I ordered the breakfast tacos and a lemonade. Chorizo, potato, & bacon. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor – outstanding tacos. Chorizo was a favorite. The lemonade… get ready. Lemonade infused with fresh pineapple, mango, and cucumber. Must try. They have a few more different kinds of tacos, like chicken and beef. I ordered the«Big Gringo» for lunch later. Friendly servers, great service, free refills, you pay after you eat. Yeah it’s a solid 5⁄5. It’s been open 8 months, and I’d say get here soon, bc it won’t take too long for the rest of The Woodlands to find this place.

The steak Gringa tacos are outstanding! The grilled onions and grilled pineapple they put on the side give it a great added flavor. The chips and salsa bar are also a nice addition that you never get at a taco truck. All of the salsa have good flavor and spicy kick. I’ve been here around ten times and the only negative thing I can say is there are always some small inconsistencies. The tacos have been on different types of tortillas during different visits. I’ve also been served with no grilled onions or pineapple on thenside, other times I’ve received onions but no pineapple. Each time I’ve asked for what was missing and they happily brought it out, just seems odd it’s not served the same each time. Overall this is one of my favorite lunch spots in the Woodlands.

They got our order completely wrong. We requested no bacon or cheese and guess what we got? They took about thirty minutes to prepare our order. There was only one person before us. They had no vegan options so two of us couldn’t even get anything. We won’t be back.

Tacos, tacos, tacos. All the things you’d expect from a taco truck with a deck out front. Beef, chicken, potato, barbaco are all good. Corn tortillas are perfect. They come out meat, grilled onion and tortilla. Add you own lettuce, tomorrow, etc at the side bar… which has been sitting out for too long unattended, so I passed. Chips and hot sauces are free, all you can eat. Not a restaurant, but it’s nice to sit on the covered deck at one of the 8 tables like you’re having a picnic.

Ok. Saw this place through a facebook suggested post. Went there. Not a restaurant. It’s a food truck with a covered deck. Don’t hate though cause It is the best bfast taco I’ve had since I’ve been in Texas. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I plan on going back and having lunch items as well;)

I have passed this place too many times and not stopped by. This is a diamond in the ruff best tacos in the woodlands by far! Try the breakfast tacos, and the green sauce is killer!

3 stars for the breakfast tacos. Not for taste, they are good. But Charro Potato doesn’t open until 9am, making them an impractical option for breakfast. If they’d open earlier they would catch people after they drop their kids off at school or on the way to work. 9am is just too late in the day.

Creative space with great food. It’s actually a food truck and they have built and porch/deck for seating. Juan was very friendly. Salsa bar was delicious. I ordered one beef and one chicken gringa and loved it. Especially the beef: no chewy, fatty stuff here. Can’t wait to go back for the breakfast tacos!

Excellent food truck food! Charro beans are outstanding, tacos generously portioned but not too big, and pico de gallo fresh. And so close to home I can walk here. They also serve breakfast tacos; oh joy! I have found my favorite taco place!

Fantastic hidden gem in creek side with Taco truck style menu, a rarity in the area. I ordered the El Guapo and a regular taco and they were both delicious. Prices may be a bit high but I’m willing to pay a little more for something this cool and local.
