We visit this place quite often as my daughter loves their tostadas(chalupas). Food is mediocre but their prices are great and it’s a great place to stop by for a quick dinner. Staff is friendly and we always get great service. I would say the cheese enchiladas are probably my favorite; but they have all kinds of decently priced combination platters.

We ate there last nite and had the tues nite fajitas special for two(we got chicken). Plenty of food and frozen margaritas only $ 4. We love this place and it is big so u don’t feel crowded. Service is great!

I live very close to this place so I usually just call in an order for pickup. I like the food and you get a lot for the price. I don’t like eating in the restaurant itself though because the service is either really great or completely mediocre. If you like tex-mex you’ll like the food here!

I’ve been coming to this place for over a decade. It’s still my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Great food and the owners treat you like family. I would recommend it to anyone.

Like stated above, this place is hit or miss. The food, the service, even the drinks are all hit or miss, and I guess that depends on which manager, or assistant manager is there for the day. Chimichanga Supreme for 9.25 isn’t all that bad of a deal because it is usually pretty filling, and is the one thing that usually stays good no matter when you order it. Last time I went there, it was fairly empty besides two other tables. I don’t know if they were understaffed or not, but there were a few employees just sitting around playing on their phones. Chips weren’t placed on the table whenever the basket would start to look empty, drinks were never refilled, no one came to check on our table to see how we were doing, or if we needed anything. Waited 30 mins(just under at least), after finished eating and no one came around to see if we needed anything, or wanted our check so I had to raise my voice and say«Hello?» Again, service is hit or miss. Was really dissapointed in them the last time I went there though. Never had worse service.

I love it if you get the number 4 it is amazing. The taco is the best. The enchiladas with chips for the sauce is good. The enchiladas are the best ever. Well that’s my opinion Try it

Give Macayo’s a shot. I’ve been coming here for years and have had almost all good experiences. Their queso and chips, cheese enchiladas and crispy tacos are excellent. The service is very attentive and the wait is nonexistent.

Great food! I fully admit the décor is… errr…dumpy. But their service is good and food was best we’ve had in the area, hands down! Oh, and the prices were all reasonable, if not on the cheap side. Take a gamble on this one… you’ll win every time!

Our service was absolutely terrible. We finally got our meal — and I cut into the chicken and it was completely raw inside. We will never be dining here again.

It’s just not a very good Mexican restaurant. I have to come here due to meetings we end up having in the area, and find time and again that the food is average at best, the food is overpriced, the drinks are mediocre, and the service leaves a lot to be desired.

I have eaten here many times over the years and the food is hit and miss. I almost wonder if it depends on who the cook or manager is on duty. I have taken the entire office here for lunch with great success by ordering fajitas for everyone by calling ahead. The staff is very friendly and attentive while the atmosphere is not well lit and leaves a lot to be desired. With many other choices around now we find ourselves at Macayos less and less.

This place is older and not polished but they have the BEST enchilada gravy!!! Love the #8 Chalupa Supreme and 2 enchiladas for under $ 6! Chips and salsa are homemade and fresh. Queso doesn’t harden up and our kids love it despite the green pepper and onion chunks(they pick them out). Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of how outdated the place is, but some might give it 5 stars for how it hasn’t changed. Macayo’s is an old faithful for our family.

I am a fan because of the tasty and inexpensive lunch specials. Very dependable and consistent kitchen and service. The red sauce is great… the beef fajitas are very tasty. I eat here and at Mi Rancho weekly.

Been going here for a while. The people are friendly and the food is fresh and good. It’s not loud or crowded and it is a nice place to eat with the kids.

I’ve been eating here regularly since moving just down the road five and a half years ago. sometimes twice a week. The food is good and the price is great. Even when there is a crowd, we have always been seated quickly. In all the times I have been here I’ve never had a meal that I could complain about. The chips and salsa are always refilled readily and only a couple times have we ever sat there wondering if there were going to be chips. unlike one review that claimed the salsa has become runny/bland, I have actually noticed it being thicker and having more flavor, at least from what it used to be when we first started going there. It’s not fine dining by any means. but for friendly, atmosphere, quick service and reasonable prices, it stands strong and is much preferred over Mi Rancho and Alicia’s which are both horrendously loud with a crowd.

Where do I begin? My family and I went on valentine’s day with a group of 9. The restaurant was fairly empty so they seated us promptly and were friendly. Just like other mexican restaurants, you get chips and salsa. The chips were bland and the salsa was runny. I could have had better salsa from a can. We also ordered some queso dip and this was no better than heated up cheez wiz. I ordered a corona and some of my party ordered margaritas. It came in a large goblet and was weak and full of ice, which watered it down even more. I also tried to get them to change the tv station, and even after I looked up the tv station on my phone, they still put on the wrong one. I ordered another corona for when the meal was being served and it never showed up. I ordered a half steak fajita and a cheese enchilada. The enchilada seemed like they melted american cheese inside of a dry tortilla. The steak for the fajita was chewy and stringy. The refried beans had a crust layer on the top and looked like they came out of a jar. The rice was overcooked. The guacamole was decent and I guess they couldn’t mess up the onions and peppers. I would not recommend this to anyone. For tex-mex, this place is a disgrace. I could have gotten better mexican food at taco bell. The other members of my party also agreed with the lackluster performance from macayos.
