Comfort Suites

I stayed her on business lasr week. Let me start by saying the room and other amenities were great (clean modern etc) The real reason I am writing this is to express my thanks to the hotel’s staff especially Kimberly. I left my expensive headphones in the nightstand and was already at the airport to head back home by the time I realized this. I called and spoke with Kimberly and after not initally finding the headphones she said she would call me back at the end of the day. She ended up tracking them down and immediately called me to let me know. She personally delivered them to a local UPS store and gave them all my information so I could arrange for them to be sent back home. The most honest, trustworthy hotel staff I have ever heard of. Stay here and you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites hotel in Spring, Texas.
But we checked out early due to our belief that this hotel has an active infestation of bugs.
Here is what happened.
1. During the first night of our stay, my husband was bitten by something on his leg. And in the early morning, he brushed away what he now believes were two bugs crawling on his arm.
2. After the second night of our stay, I woke up to a dead bug on my side of the bed! See the pictures. Absolutely gross and unacceptable.
3. From the attached pictures, you will see various spots and stains on the comforter. We believe the spots to be blood and the yellow stain on the comforter to be urine, both pre-​existing to our stay.
4. Also under the fitted sheet we found more spots on the mattress padding. We believe these to be blood spots. And because these spots were underneath the sheets, we believe them to be pre-​existing to our stay.
We contacted the manager immediately and found her to be evasive and non-​committal. She was very careful with her wording to only say that there was «a bug in the bed». She refused to confirm what type of bug it was. She took pictures and told us that she sent the pictures to the hotel’s general manager and to an exterminator. But the manager would not share any information about the bug identification once she heard back from the exterminator.
So we bagged the dead bug found in our Comfort Suites hotel bed. We would get the bug analyzed later by a Texas board certified etymologist.
Because of the lack of communication, we had lost confidence and felt that we had no choice but to check out early. To our further shock and dismay, the hotel made no reasonable accommodation for making this right upon checkout. The hotel manager said that they would still charge our credit card but that we could take the matter up with the General Manager.
So we contacted Jason Headley, General Manager, but it has been more than a week with no response to our two e-​mails.
Our experience at Comfort Suites hotel in Spring, Texas and the handling of the incident by management is not what we have come to expect from Choice Hotels. This is, in fact, quite outrageous. And we have been patient and reasonable.
Maybe the Comfort Suites hotel in Spring, Texas thinks that we will just go away or let this go?
We will not.

Stayed in this hotel twice now. The first time there was an issue with cleanliness in our room’s bathroom, but the hotel clerk was very helpful in resolving the issue. The hotel owner then contacted me with his apologies. We decided to give the hotel a second chance, and the second time was much, much better. I am very appreciative of the owner’s personal attention to the issue with our first visit. We will very likely stay in the hotel again since it is so convenient to InSPIRE Rock Climbing Gym, Splashtown, shopping and restaurants.

This new Comfort Suites is amazing! There is shopping & great restaurants all very close by. The staff at Comfort Suites is very helpful & friendly. We received the free upgrade on our room through Unilocal,& our room was perfect, especially since we had our kids along!!! One king size bed, 2 sleeper sofas, & 2 televisions!!! Perfect set up for staying with your kids!!! My kids really enjoyed the swimming pool & we were all able to have an amazing breakfast!!! Very comfortable, can’t wait to go back!!!

This place was fantastic. It is a hidden gym. Highly recommended. It is located right by the water park, easy on and off from the freeway. The rooms are huge and clean. The staff was very professional. This particular place is probably just a shy under the Marriott. And I do mean the Marriott, not any of their sub groups like the Springhill or Residence Inn. This place rocks.

Great hotel! Stayed here to visit the nearby waterpark and botanical gardens. Modern, brand new construction with excellent amenities. Def recommend to anyone visiting the Houston area. Great location off I-​45 and close to IAH airport!

Fantastic room! I checked in using Unilocal and got a free upgrade to a suite! Great prices and service! I highly recommend you stay here!
