Dr. Cell Phone

I brought my iPhone 6 in to get the screen replaced an hour later my screen turned black and my phone got extremely hot. I knew it was still on because Siri still worked. When I brought my phone back they told me it was because my phone was dead. I showed them that it was not dead that Siri worked then they told me it was just a faulty screen. They Changed it again and now my screen flickers and barley works. I would have been better of keeping my phone with a crack in it verse the damage they have done. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will only be going to apple from now on.

I’ve taken my shattered iPad here and they did a perfect job. I recently took my cell phone there and it also had a small bend to it. they called me within 1 – 2 hours after dropping it off that it was all done and fixed. My friend took his iPhone there because it wouldn’t charge and all they had to do is clean the charging area and they did it at no charge. Great honest place!

The power button on my droid turbo stopped working after I dropped it (otherwise perfectly operational phone). Since the battery died and I couldn’t turn my phone back on after I recharged it, I brought it here, after Verizon told me they couldn’t fix it, but would exchange it with a refurbished droid for $ 125 :/​
These guys fixed it within an hour for a little over $ 30, so I couldn’t be happier :)

This is really a tip rather than a review (but can’t find the «add tip» for this business). Basically the tip is that should you decide to buy one of their Groupon offers MAKE SURE that you use it less than 3 days after buying the voucher! Luckily I did — I bought an iPad screen repair for $ 94 but when I arrived at the little trailer store behind a Wendy’s I believe — I was told that it was not valid for my iPad Air and that it would cost $ 379 to replace the screen (Black Friday offers around would give me the same model brand new for $ 450!!!)
They could not give me a refund but luckily Groupon gave me a full refund since I made the claim within 3 days — otherwise I would have been in the hole for $ 94 for nothing. The iPad works fine just has a single crack on the screen that will remain until it dies!
Buyer beware and check the validity of your Groupon coupon before, or VERY SOON after, buying.

Great service from Logan. I dropped mi iPad off at a different repair outlet which had it for over 24hrs and had not started and told me I would not get it done now till Monday! I’d seen this shack so I thought I’d give them a go. Logan took my details told me it would be ready in 2hrs. He called after 1hr telling me it’s ready:). Great job fixing my screen and I’ll defiantly recommend this place and Logan

Took ipad to Apple over docking port not working and they said they do not fix and wanted 300 to replace. Went to dr cell phone and they repaired the iPad in 24 hours and was only 75. Thanks dr cell phone.

So far so good– just waited an hour and my screen looks good as new! Its a tiny popup-​like shop in the middle of a shopping center parking lot so its easy to miss. I got there and waited in the shop for about an hour– got some nail filing done– and jammed out to tunes the tech had playing. Tech was a young wiz who balanced repairs with customer service for the many guests who popped in with inquiries. I was skeptical, but when i got my lifeline (phone) back, it seriously looked flawless. I would suggest to get there during their slow time, perhaps during the week (?) to get it done with a shorter wait than the busy weekends. There is a wendy’s next door for those cheat days, go eat and distract yourself while your gadgets are repaired.

Location in Spring/​The Woodlands, TX is a HORRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS is all I can say… This place is a joke. I took my iPhone 5 in for repair and I told them what was wrong with it BEFORE I left. I said the speaker and microphone need to be replaced. Speaker would only operate at about ½ sound and microphone when talking without the speaker on didn’t work at all. They quoted me $ 125 and had me put down a $ 50 deposit and said the parts weren’t in stock but would take «a day or two» and they would call me when the parts came in. A WEEK later I still hadn’t heard from them so I called them. They told me «We received one part but are still waiting on the other. It will be another day or two.» 3 days later I still hadn’t heard from them so I called them back. Supposedly they had the parts, said it would only take about 1.5 hours to repair. I dropped it off but had my wife pick it up. BIG MISTAKE! She didn’t check the speaker, THEY HADN’T DONE ANYTHING WITH THE SPEAKER! Said it worked fine! SOOO pissed… I took it back on Sunday. (this store is open ½ day on Sunday) A guy I had never seen before said he would have someone look at it the next day but they should have the parts in stock so it shouldn’t be an issue. I called Monday at 1pm and the idiot I had been dealing with behind the counter could only tell me that he hadn’t looked at it and he’d try to get to it later that day or the next. I called back AGAIN on Tuesday at 3pm because NOBODY at this place has EVER called me and he said he would have to order the part and it would be ANOTHER day or two before the part was in. I let them have it, I was pissed and let them know this was ridiculous! PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL SOMEONE!!! Here it is Thursday and yet again I have to call THEM to find out the status… Guess what??? ANOTHER 1 – 2 days because the part isn’t in and he can’t tell me when it will be there! I’m DONE with this place, NEVER AGAIN!!!
I’ve now been on hold for 15 minutes with their Corporate store to file a complaint… NO SURPRISE that the service there is as bad as the other store!

STAY AWAY, AT ALL COST!!! If there was a way to not even put 1 star rating I would. There are a lot of things going on here that really upset me. I’m not one to use Unilocal in fact I didn’t even have an account but I NEED to let people know the injustice of this «Doctor» Cell Phone. First the place is located in this old T-​Mobile run down shack. I should have known not to use this guy just from the outside. Second, the web-​site is wrong at it says they close at 7:00pm (they really close at 6:00pm) so I visit them at 5:30pm after I get off work. No one was at the front but I hear someone in the back, «HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE?!?» What kind of way is that to greet a customer? I responded «NO, THERE IS NO ONE HERE» referring that there is no one running the counter. So the guy comes around the corner looks like he just got done eating lays potato chip and woke up from a nap. Completely unprofessional. He makes it seem an inconvenience that I come in 30 minutes before they close saying, «I can’t get to it today.» he didn’t even look at it. How does he know? So I left my number so he could call me back. Well 3 days go by and no word so I call him and he says, «Yeah I tried to call you.» I ask, «What number do you have?» and of course he wrote down the number wrong. Well it comes to find out that he can’t do anything. Completely broken. I say okay and pick it up the next day. Now all this is okay, fine I understand the guy hates his life because he works at a cell phone repair place. The thing that really gets me is when I go to pick it up he says that will be $ 38.99. I said «What? You didn’t fix my phone?» he replies «It’s a diagnostics fee.» Funny how he NEVER mentioned that before!!! What a RIP OFF! I had to pay almost $ 40 bucks for what? Nothing! Incredible! I would stay away from this scam artist. An alternate place is CPR by Sam’s. I tock the same phone there and they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I recommend staying far way from Dr. Cell Phone at all cost!
