El Mojito Cuban Cuisine

Si alguien le gusta la comida cubana, el Mojito es el mejor lugar en el norte de Houston.
He venido tres veces y cada vez el servicio es excelente.
Sin embargo no tienen bebidas naturales cubanas, tales como guanábana, etc.
Es un ambiente casual y agradable. Ideal para familias.

I have been waiting for this restaurant to open and they finally did a few Saturdays ago. I have to say though, I was somewhat disappointed!
My son picked a booth out that wasn’t yet prepared, so our waiter asked us to move to a different table that was already set, so we did. There was a table of four women who were VERY LOUD and dropping «F» bombs like they were going out of style. My wife and daughter arrived and we asked to move away from these woman. The restaurant is very small so even though our table was «far» from the four women, we could still hear their conversation and swearing!
The food arrived and was good! I had the fried plantains, Cuban style pork, and Congris (rice and black beans). The pork was served in kind of a clump instead of being pulled apart, is how I have had pork served at other Cuban restaurants around town. The pork was covered with onions and peppers which was a nice compliment. My wife had a Talapia covered in an asparagus sauce and a side of black beans. She felt that her food was very salty. Our daughter had the Cuban sandwich which I tried a couple of bites, and it was very tasty.
There were several people walking around including an older couple, who we believed to be the owners of the restaurant. Not one time did they walk by to say «hello» or «how is your food?», NOTHING!!!
When we finished dinner, my son and I left first and as we were walking out, the four amigas were still going at it cursing up a storm and being loud. My wife said as they were preparing to leave, a gentleman from behind the bar approached the table to have a word with them. As my wife and daughter were leaving, she said no one «thanked» them for coming in or dining with them.
The food was good, but the service left alot to be desired. Based on that, may be a while (if at all) before I return.
