Awesome place, best food I’ve ever eaten at a bar! The staff is super friendly, attentive and courteous we love the bartender Erin she’s so sweet always greets us with a friendly smile!

Terrible service and the lady who was our server said I had to either leave or take my coffee to the car because I was not allowed to bring outside food or drinks to their place. She was very rude about it too. I’ll never go back there again. It even forfeited my opportunity to compete in the karaōke contest. So thumbs down on this place.

Great hang out place, has a little of everything, all pretty good, music on weekends too.
Just transferred here, looking for my neighborhood «cheers» bar, and this is a solid fit.
Just try it 1 – 2 for yourself, don’t let the few «naysayers» who went once and it was not right for them sway you (it can be a little smoke filled around the bar on busy weekend nights, but then sit next to the band!)

The band that played there Saturday night was horrible!!! They were way too loud!!! One song that they played was uncalled for. Way too many four letter words, explatives, etc. I go there regularly and was very offended by them.

Mak’s is a cool place to hang with friends. They have weekly dinner specials that you would like. Friday nights is All You Can Eat Catfish. The filets are very filling. I normally can only eat two because they are large. There are no laws against smoking so if you don’t like smoke this is not the place for you.

This should almost be listed in the restaurant category! The food is great! Not like pub/​bar food at all. But, no one underage is allowed in after 7:30. (I think). Tonight I had the blackened shrimp tacos. Absolutely fantastic! Sorry, but I ate all of it before I thought about taking a picture. I’ve had them quite a few times. Probably my favorite. But every other item on the menu that I have tried is equally as good. The tacos are just my preference.

I went to Mak’s last night [5/​14] and as usual, the food was delish! I’m writing a review this time because I opted to sit at the bar and I was fortunate enough to meet Lindsey! She was very friendly, she smiled upon greeting me, she introduced herself and asked my name, she was very attentive, she checked on me regularly all while really working that bar. The bar was full and not to mention the fact that she has to pour up drinks for the waitresses. I deemed her AWESOME!!! She could teach the wait staff a thing or two on how to service the guests better. I asked one waitress for an ink pen and not once did she ever smile. She gave me a look as if she hated to be interrupted. Good help is so hard to find AND keep! Keep up the good work Lindsey!!! Probably spelled your name wrong but I was close! Where will I sit when I return? At the bar with Lindsey, of course!!!

Blackened Catfish on Friday night! WTF. Rita’s are halfway decent. But they have no idea what blackened fish is. And Friday night it’s all you can eat! But the cook has no concept of how to blacken fish. The second batch came back nearly raw. Piss on it IL I’ll have another Rita before I go home.

This place was not much to brag about, since I don’t smoke it was hard to deal with… I agree the tables were small & to add its a shame they don’t have much of there screen’s playing texan’s… So I probably wouldn’t go back…

I’m back to correct a prior wrong… Mak’s is now my favorite sports bar in the Spring area. When I was there before they only had half the space. Since then, they’ve double the size of the bar and added a whole new section for dancing and live music. It also looks like they’ve eliminated the dreadful karaōke on weekend nights and have focused on sports until 10pm and then live music — perfect combination! I love this place now and they also have great food specials that are cheap and very tasty! Stop by Mak’s, you won’t regret it!

I love this home bar. Everyone is friendly including the bar staff. Hands down the best crawfish around. Where do you know, that you can get 2lbs of crawfish for $ 7.00 with potato, andouille sausage and butter??? (Around crawfish season)
My best friend had a steak and he loved it. My husband likes their southwest rolls. The beers are always cold and they have live music.

I started going to Mac’s sort of regularly last football season and have continued my patronage to the point where I go there about twice a week now to visit friends and eat.
The service is hot and cold as sometimes they aren’t well staffed for busy times. This past Sunday I was there in the evening and they had one bartender and one waitress and the place was packed. Please fix this! Will get your FIFTH STAR from me!
The food is great for bar food. Love the burgers, fish tacos, chicken tacos and boudin plate. Steak night features a ribeye with loaded baked potato and salad for about $ 12 and they used to have the cook out front on the grill preparing the steaks to order, but I’m not sure if they still do that as I have not been in on a Thursday in several months.
This past week there was an ownership change and I talked with the new owners and they promised they wouldn’t mess with the food! (except maybe to add some Cajun favorites)

Wow, this place just lost my respect. I’ve been there at least 60 times according to Unilocal,but this is the first time I feel like I was ripped off. $ 5 to add a potato to my single chicken breast plate? Of course you are charging the same $ 9 for the one chicken breast that was 2 breasts 6 months ago. Fine… I understand Obamanomics. But to charge $ 5 for a PLAIN baked potato instead of the veggies or whatever else normally comes with it? I’d think my loyalty would have alt least earned me a warning about this up charge. The food is much better than most bars and the service is as well.
EDIT: I was really irritated when I wrote this and so I went back and edited it. I’ll still go there as the bartenders do a great job. I do think I should have been warned about the upcharge though.

Mac’s is a great bar with good food and drinks! This is a GREAT little place to come with friends, with a date, or all alone… lots to offer. I stopped in with a couple of good friends, found a seat easily, got a great beer at a great price and I watched my favorite team win a game.
The patrons are of varied ages and are a great crowd of really down to earth, nice people. The staff is extremely attentive and customer service is obviously a priority. Highly recommend checking it out!
