Merlot 2 Masterpiece

My husband and I came here for date one Saturday, and we had a lot of fun. Our painting truly came out like a masterpiece! The instructor was very knowledgeable, patient and funny. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and you could tell the regulars. I would definitely come back and recommend anyone to try it. Only thing I would recommend is bringing your own apron (and wine of course) — the ones they provided were a bit dirty behind the neck.

We have visited this location and the location on Louetta. Both are fantastic. M2M is probably the best painting place out of all the ones we’ve tried. And we’ve tried just about all of them. Why? Because their instructions are just easier to understand especially if you’ve never painted before. You won’t walk out with a museum masterpiece but it will be better than if you had painted it on your own and most likely better than what you’ve painted at other painting classes. They’ll tell you how much paint to use, how to hold the brush, which brush to use, how to apply the brush, etc.

I had one of the best painting class experiences here.
The instructor was very enthusiastic. She made sure everyone was understanding the steps and made sure everyone was caught up. She was also hilarious– definitely a plus.
The studio was very open and inviting. The set up of the place was optimal so that everyone can see the instructor.
In the end, my painting didn’t look too far from the example painting.
Even though this place is a framing place, I wasn’t pushed to buy a frame like the other Merlot 2 Masterpiece. I felt genuinely welcome all throughout my experience at M2M-​Spring/​Champions.
I definitely recommend this place. The instructor left the best impression on me. The setting was open/​inviting.

The online calendar indicated that the class was full, but when we checked in there were at least 4 open spots. I can see how they would want to be able to accomodate for walk-​ins, but I wish they just took away those easels when the class started so that we could spread out a little. My flimsy easel fell down and almost knocked over someone’s painting.
Matt was a great instructor (5 stars). He walked around and gave tips and words of encouragement.
At the end of the class you can buy a voucher for $ 24 — good for a 3 hour class and it doesn’t expire.
I’ve only been to another establishment for byob painting. My personal opinion is choose whatever place has a painting that you want to do, convenient location, and pricing that you’re okay with. The groupon voucher was a plus, but the place is just so far from my house that it wasn’t worth it.

This was my first time at any type of BYOB paint class — wasn’t sure what to expect but was confident I would have a good time. Which I did. And I’m pretty sure the drinks that were flowing played a good part in that. I enjoyed it so much I fell for their pitch and bought another discount class.
The instructor was nice/​friendly, gave you tips (which was helpful to an amateur like me) and the other participants were pretty friendly as well.
So why only 3 stars you ask if I had so much fun that I plan on returning? Well, one thing happened that just killed the fourth star… we arrived about 10 minutes early to check in, pick out our seats, etc., considering this was our first time doing this and we weren’t sure how it worked. We chose our seats and after a group of 4 ladies came in (after the proposed start time of 7:00) we were asked to move to different chairs so they could sit together. This really irked me because I got there early. for a reason — so I could sit where I wanted. If you’re not going to show up on time (especially with a larger number in your party) then don’t expect to sit together. I was accommodating and moved but really — just bad customer service to me.
Oh and next time… I won’t be moving, even if asked politely.

A great experience. I did not go with any expectation. I had fun, I was frustrated at my self and once at the instructor. yet, the end product was not that bad. TIP: buy gift certificate for half price at the end of the night. you WILL want to do it again.

I have attended several wine and art classes. One was at this location and the first time around we booked over a week ahead of time only to get a call the day before the class telling us the class was full and that we had to go to a different location. The person was the lady with the scratchy smoker’s voice and she was very rude. Despite that I went to a different class and had a nice time even though I really didn’t like the picture. After that I thought it would be really great to take my daughter. When I called to book the class and informed the scratchy voice lady that I was attending with my daughter she told me that having a kid there was a bad idea and to take her to paint pottery. I went to Vino Artino and my daughter had a great time. This place is not accurate when it come to its openings when booking online and are not very friendly to customers.

Came here for a 3 hour class. The instructor, Amy, is really young but she did know her stuff! I went to her Topdog painting and not only did I learn how to paint that portrait, I learned so much techniques and new ideas from her.

So I thought it was going to be so lame but hey my friend and I bought a deal on group on. Once we walked in the ladies were so nice and everything was so organized. I must say I couldn’t believe what I ended up painting I must bring my bf. it was a three hour class and it was the funky tree theme. Time went by so fast and it was really exhausting trying to paint yes fun but still caused my friend and I lots of anxiety, will visit again

I came here for my bachelorette party with my BFFS.
They bought a Groupon/​Living Social deal and it was so worth it!
The painting class was good and the instructors are patient and encouraging. I highly recommend it as a date spot and you can bring your own booze!

My girlfriend and I bought the groupon. I am a crafty person so it seemed like fun. WOW, was I impressed. The owner was friendly and spunky, and the art instructor Matt was a total cutie!
I was expecting a pre-​drawn canvas or paint by numbers type thing, but you have to paint everything yourself and by hand. Matt gave step by step instruction and then individual pointers if you needed help with anything. They played great music and kept it fun and entertaining. We brought a bottle of wine, make sure to bring your own glasses. They do allow you to bring your own food too, but make sure you bring plates, etc.
Bought another «deal» to go back because we had so much fun :) They do offer another deal to go back at the class, but online is cheaper. They also offer to sell you a frame for $ 40 for your painting, as it is also a frame shop. Not too bad but being the thrifty person I am, I think I could find one for cheaper.

I couldn’t pass up an opportunity that involved painting AND drinking, so when I came across a Groupon voucher for a three-​hour BYOB painting class for two, I had to get it.
My sister and I perused their upcoming classes, and chose the «funky blue moon tree» class on ²⁄₁₁. We could not have had more fun. We were fifteen minutes late, but the instructor was very sweet and caught us up quickly so we could enjoy the rest of the class.
It’s a guided painting — the instructor showed the class, and then we all followed along on our own canvas — no experience necessary. I loved looking around at everyone else’s canvas and seeing how everyone interpreted the painting differently. My sister and I both ended up with great paintings we loved, and they were completely individual.
It’s a fun, laid-​back atmosphere with friendly staff — all in all, a unique, fun way to spend an evening.
