Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen

Gringos is a regular place for us to visit. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. They have one of the best queso around. The managers are usually visual and the service is consistently quick. The price point is a little high, but the ambiance and environment match the price point. The wait is always a nuisance. However, a lot of people waiting consistently means the place has popularity. The patio is extensive if you want to sit outside. Gringos is one of the few chain restaurants over here and is definitely one of the best.

The absolute best restaurant in the Spring area. Service… Amazing! Food… doesn’t get any better! Value… incredible! LOVE.LOVE.LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!

Dakota Aplanalp was such a great waiter, I would want him as a waiter every time I go. The food and the service was excellent!!!

Way better than I thought it would be. The Diablo Chicken was a great and different meal. I would suggest this place to anyone.

We are long time customers (like 15 years long) and we usually have good food and fair service. A few times stellar service. There have been issues here and there but today when we visited I was very disappointed in my food. I was hungry for seafood and I saw that they changed from tilapia to mahi mahi in the fish tacos so I ordered it. I was so disappointed to see a little sliver of fish on each taco. And I am not kidding it was literally the size of a pencil. The fish was good but the portion disappointing. I will not order it again and stick to enchiladas or fajitas. I wish they had more seafood options.

Disgusting food and racist name, what more could you want. Was forced to go here for family gathering. Ugh

I am so impressed with the manager an weight staff at this location. On a busy Sunday afternoon they able to accommodate 40 15 and 16 year young adults to accomplish a surprise birthday party for my daughters 16 birthday. The manager even offered to keep the cake in the fridge until it was ready to be served. I wish I could give them 10 stars. They made her day.

Our waitress Ingrid was fantastic. When she realized we were staying away from carbs she asked if we wanted to see their gluten menu. How wonderful! All the times we have been here & other locations we were never told about it. She was attentive, helpful & quick to notice when we needed refills. Friendly & personable. A rare treat. We’ll be asking for her again. Thank you.

While visiting with my sister last weekend, she and her husband took me here to eat dinner. I ordered the Chicken Diablo, which was enough for two people!!! It was out of this world delicious!!! I will be going back for sure! The service was very good, and the atmosphere nice, but casual.

This place is huge. The setting is very pleasant. Staff is welcoming and the Excellent food.
I had the pollo marsco and it was delicious. I wanted it to be little more creamy and less cheesy though.
Margaritas are always excellent.

Waited half an hour for our food with small children. Finally had to hunt down a manager. Sorry about that he says. $ 70 for a meal hardly anyone ate because they filled up on chips waiting for our food. No compensation whatsoever. Not good guys. Not good. Portions have gotten skimpy, prices have gotten higher. I’ll go to the one on 45 next time.

Went there for lunch on a Thursday afternoon! Hadnt been here in awhile! Hubbs and I were impressed with décor. We asked for a booth n we got taken to one by the bar! Place looked not very busy… Our waitress was Brandi. So chip & salsa comes. Chips are not at their finest! Cold too! Waitress forgets things. no sweetner on my table for my tea. Foods came. .delivered by mgr? Next bad thing… my husbands Coke gets filled with Tea. We have hard time getting any one to come by and fix drink. never brought my lemon. All the while there are 5 employees standing at bar. too busy adding up receipts! Food was ok. presented nicely. .but the Wait Staff Ruined it! We shouldn’t have to sit there PEERING at you for things! Won’t be Returning here!

I’m a regular at Gringos (more than twice a week), and I hate to do this but I’m reducing the rating to 3 stars. They stopped allowing open seating at the bar booths which was a clear mistake. Many times bar seating isn’t open because they seat people that don’t care where they sit. I know this will be cutting into how much I visit gringos and suspect it will with other regulars as well. It’s now too hard to fight for a seat in the bar. Such a shame and such a pure management mistake. Downgraded to 3 stars.

We are sitting at the doctor with my two year old who has 103 fever and non-​stop vomiting. Dr says she ate bacteria contaminated food at Gringos last night. My adult friend who ate with us is also very ill. To make matters worse, I called to let the manager know of the issue. I was told that he was busy and would call me back. I have not received a call.
Please keep your family well. Do not eat at Gringos.

So, my husband absolutely loves the food at Gringos, we decided after getting horrible customer service in June 2014 to visit again. A year later, you’d think they’d have it together!
Well, NOPE! Our dining experience was to celebrate my son leaving for his summer vacation.
We were seated and it took 20 minutes to get drinks, our food was not up to standards, and forget refills on chips, dips, or drinks. We will not be returning…

We had been to another Gringo’s locatiin more than a year ago and the food was horrible. My parents have been going to this new location closer to our home and they love it so we thought we would give this chain another try. We are so glad we did! The chips are crisp, warm and fresh. They are served with red sauce that is not too spicy and hot which is sometimes the case with mexican restaurants. A little spicy taste is good but when they make things too hot it makes it difficult for everyone at the table to enjoy. They also serve a green sauce. This green sauce was a surprise because it was thick and creamy. Most are very thin and watery and not at all flavorful. However, this one is quite thick and I think it has some sour cream in it as well as tomatilas. I ordered a chicken salad. This was not a regular mexican chicken fajita salad. It was a traditional chicken salad with avacado, tomato, spicy pecans, lettuce, grapes, and strawberries served in lettuce in a huge tortilla shell. It was awesome! I would go back just for this salad. It was just that good. And different. My dad got his usual tacos and they looked good. He loves them. They are larger shells than the normal small taco shells. (On the taco plate) The food was fresh. They have self serve ice cream for dessert.
Although the service at first was good, it took us forever to get our food. An extremely long time.

First time at a Gringos and we loved everything! Tortilla Soup, quesadillas, salsa, quacomole were wonderful!

I ate here with seven others, and to my surprise, we were seated quickly, and well taken care of.
The drinks and food were delicious!
I have no complaints!

We randomly stopped here for drinks and a «snack», not expecting much from a tex/​mex chain restaurant… But oh my! I was pleasantly surprised… We ordered combo fajitas (chicken and beef) comes with the standard beans rice guacamole and pico de gallo… It was actually VERY good! My husband even made the comment i should write a review on them!
I would reccomend this place for a casual drink and tex-​mex cravings… Décor is nice as well!
