I’m very glad we stumbled upon this place. It’s unassuming on the outside(isn’t everything in Old Town Spring though?), and we almost passed it by! I came here with my dad and my boyfriend, and we were immediately interested in the wine tasting. A couple outside was enjoying a bottle they had purchased, so that’s a nice option on a good weather day. The inside is very spacious, and the bar is pretty long. They had one section for regular wine and one for a bit higher end wine(5 for $ 7 vs 4 for $ 10). I appreciated that they had the tasting notes next to the wine. It definitely helped me know which one I was going to like. I would’ve also appreciated a scale of dryness, but that’s my own personal preference. The bottles of wine were reasonably priced, and we had a good time sampling. My dad and boyfriend enjoyed it, and they aren’t easy to please, so you know this place is pretty good.

So happy that the old town spring tasting room is under new ownership! The place looks fabulous! The wine list has been expanded and they even have cheese plates. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable about the wines! I love the quaint atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back.

They have ample seating, a quiet atmosphere and(mostly) friendly staff. The price is right. However — I just really did not care for any of the wine I tried. I’m not an aficionado by any means. But I do enjoy wine. I just did not enjoy any of theirs.

Loved the wine, miss the blueberry wine. They no longer make it. Wine wine and more wine. A great place to take a break while walking old town Spring. Stop in relax and try some of the fine local wine. We did and it is great.

Came here a few weekends ago and had a blast! The ladies who were hosting us were so much fun and had lots of great suggestions. The wines we tried were excellent and we ended up buying a few bottles to take home. Would love to come back here soon and try even more, and for $ 5 tastings– you can’t beat it!

This a cute little spot for a girlfriend gathering. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They explained all of the things that they offer & I took note for future reference. My husband came with me and he wasn’t interested in painting wine glasses, LOL. We enjoy discovering new things and this was a fun day.

Old Town Spring is full of little gems, and this place is one. The tasting room is decorated in a warm country type aesthetic and makes you feel welcome. We came in here one weekend looking to beat the heat and try some wine. Our service was outstanding, as we were treated with a smile and friendly advice. We were immediately greeted and told how the tasting works, you can start a tab, or pay cash, then you receive 4 coupons that you trade in for your tasting. We were also told that we didn’t need to feel locked to the bar, and could roam around, or take a spot at a table in the room. Whoa, that took me by surprise, not to feel rushed into immediately tasting. I honestly enjoyed the atmosphere of the tasting room, though the temperature inside was a touch hot for me. In addition to the Wimberley Valley Wines, they also have a selection of other various wines from different wineries. We were asked if we wanted red or white/then sweet or dry. We both enjoyed our recommendations, though I have to say one of my sweets was way too sweet, but it was the exception not the rule. They also offer a few meads, and special seasonal blends. After trying about 10 wines, at the time they were offering a Christmas in July special, we walked out with 2 we had to put in our wine cabinet. The wines are moderately priced and I think most hovered from $ 10– $ 30. I think the tasting price is stellar. $ 5= 4 tasting coupons. This place would be great for a casual date or a hangout. Great atmosphere.

$ 5 for four wine tasting plus 1 free tasting for wine of the month? That’s what I call awesome! Very nice establishment — great selection of wines. The girl pouring the tastings didn’t have much knowledge but was friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

The good: Cute place with lots of seating Very friendly staff The neutral: $ 5 for 4 tastings is pretty much along industry standards from my experience They had wines to taste besides their own winery’s-I didn’t really expect that, but since we didn’t like their wines, this worked The not so good: I’m not big on sweet wine and my companions don’t like it at all, and Wimberly Valley’s wines are REALLY sweet The pourers didn’t really«talk» wine, they just poured I don’t think I’ll be back, but if you like sweet wine, I bet you would like this place a lot!

I am not a huge wine enthusiast but shopping in old town Spring over the weekend we thought we would drop in for a glass of wine and get the holiday spirit flowing if ya know what I mean. They had a tasting of wines you could select but we choose a glass of pinot noir and were not disappointed. The staff were super friendly and laughing, made you feel right at home. We paid and before we left(yes, they suggested to-go cups which was super awesome) a lady gave us a German chocolate sample that she was selling in the back. Good thing she did because I immediately bought some because that’s just what I need during the holiday season, more scrumptious chocolate to work off. Would definitely recommend visiting if you’re doing a little Christmas shopping. Now I did find the wine we drank for $ 11 cheaper at Spec’s so I wouldn’t necessarily buy bottles here, but a nice glass to keep you warm while walking around is nice!

If only I could take wine home with me in my luggage(I wasn’t checking anything), I would’ve bought a bottle or two! We recently visted Wimberley Valley Wines Tasting Room on a visit to Texas. For $ 5, we got about four or five(I forget) samples of their wine. My favorite was the blueberry wine, which they claim is one of their most popular and sweetest wines. We also tried a jalapeño mead, which, while it is not my cup of tea, I thought it was unique. The two ladies managing the shop were very friendly and engaging in conversation with us. We had to catch a flight, so we didn’t have time for this, but I would recommend buying a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoying it on the spot. There is a porch outside the tasting room for you to relax. I hope to return.

While visiting Old Town Spring, I stopped in here to sample some of their wines. I ended up trying everything and loving the Plum wine the best! I am a sucker for sweet wines so I totally enjoyed tasting the blush, red, and blueberry wines. The lady running the shop is as sweet as the wines. The bottles are priced very reasonably so I picked up a few for later.

Very nice shop in Old Town Spring. They have several types of wines available depending on the season. My favorites they have are the plum wine and blackberry wine. The sweet white and sweet red are also good choices. They have tastings available where you can sample the different wines. You can also purchase by the glass or bottle if you find one you like. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is an outside area for sitting and enjoying the weather on nice days. Perfect for sipping some wine and relaxing.

Super friendly, quiet quaint shop that has a very relaxing homey atmosphere full of wine gifts. Plus there is nothing like some porch sitting and a great glass of wine! Have to come back when more the season.

$ 1.25 a tasting, and may I add worth it. If you have time grab a glass for $ 3 and enjoy some porch sitting in the front of the establishment on a beautiful afternoon in Old Town Spring or even splurge and go for a smaller bottle for $ 7.99 or a large bottle for $ 14.99. Any way which way you taste it, I’m sure you’ll enjoy! Always seeking ways to support local shops and was in the market for a birthday gift for a wine loving friend. The actual winery is based in between Driftwood and Wimberley in Texas hill country. But this branch of their awesomeness is located in old town Spring, not to far from home. You cannot imagine how ecstatic I was to think wine tasting close to home and a local shop why don’t mind if I do love that combination. Had a couple tastes before making my purchase, and that made me in turn purchase both the Sweet White,(pineapple and a clean citrus finish) and the Sweet Blush,(raspberry and lime flavors). I most definitely do intend on returning after hearing they will have a Sweet Blueberry brought from the winery in a couple weeks and starting in December a Sweet Plum as well, can you say excited! Super friendly staff, quiet quaint shop that has a very relaxing homey atmosphere full of wine gifts. Plus there is nothing like some porch sitting and a great glass of wine!

Since I don’t like hard liquor wine seems to be the choice for me. So, my new curiosity has been wine tasting. As I try to find the wine that better suits my taste, I’ve had to taste some not so great. Don’t get me wrong, I know some wines need to be accompanied by certain foods to really enjoy the taste, but I’m not there yet. I’ve figured that Shiraz is definitely not my «cup of tea(or glass of wine to be specific).» I do like White Zinfandel. I had a chance to taste great wine at the Old Spring Craw fish Festival. I saw Wimberly Valley Winery and Taste room. I was sitting right outside of it waiting for my friends to use the restroom when I saw a sign about their best selling sweet red wine. I decided to go in a try it. The winery is very cute as it has lots of detail and some art. I particularly liked the outdoor sitting. The lady on the other side of the counter was very sweet and extremely helpful. She as patient and took her time in helping me find a wine I liked. I tasted about four different kinds but purchased the sweet red, as it was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting their wines and listening to the stories being told at the winery. Wine tasting is definitely becoming something I would like to do at least once a month, in hopes of finding the wine which satisfies my inner wine«needs.»
