Everything a geeky girl could want resides within these walls! I am an ordained priestess and needed a RENAISSANCE dress for a wedding in Magnolia, TX. I am based out of H-town so I was looking for shops around town to find a suitable dress. The Spotted Pony was fantastic in every way! The dress was a beautiful emerald green and even came with accessories(a belt and head device). The owner said she is normally there everyday from 10:30 am til 5:00 pm. The dress I purchased was cheaper than most places I had previous found and was of good quality. I will be returning for to purchase star trek cookie jars — if they are still there — and possibly some of there amazing earrings!!! Love these ladies.

The ladies were very helpful . First time in the store, and I had a fantastic experience! The girlfriend and I went in to look for renaissance costumes for a friends wedding and were highly pleased with the variety. She’s been searching for a skirt and other pieces for her ren fair costume for a few weeks now, and we found everything we needed and more. Boots, Hats and lots of other period specific garb and regalia. We were very pleased with the selection, and the prices were so much better than what we had been seeing in costume stores. The two ladies working were very friendly, helpful and just awesome. I am one happy customer and so is my girlfriend.

I love this shop! It is definitely the one I want to go to first when visiting Old town Spring. They have a nice selection of costumes and clothing for fans of the romantic and strange. There is a lovely selection of jewelry and accessories inspired by vintage, steampunk, and goth.

Wow, can’t believe that I’m the first review on this cute lil’ boutique in Old Town Spring! We stopped in here on Pet Fest 2009 looking for a way out of the heat and lured by the Ren fest costume signage on their deck. This adorable bungalow turned gift boutique has something for everyone, from Ren Fest costumes(costumey but still acceptable for non-period snobs) to antiques and repros to wearable art, framed art, stuff that passes for art and lots of kitsch and mass produced stuff along with the handmade. Every corner is full of items, which makes one either overwhelmed or investigative depending on your personality and how much caffeine you’ve had and how overdrawn you want your bank account to become. I bought two of those little absorbent stone circles that fit into your car cupholder with pit bulls printed on them, as I vowed that I’d only buy dog items if they were useful and who doesn’t hate all that swampy cup sweat in their car’s holders? I also bought some Absinthe scented oil for my Lampe Berger, an item which you MUST own if you have pets or just want to cover general house mustiness that 11 year old carpet gives off in the summertime. The ladies were very friendly and helpful in helping me find an appropriate Tudor style ring, and I was impressed that they even knew what TUDORSTYLE was. :) If you want to take your Mom or Auntie or Granny or teens out for a fun day of boutique hopping, visit Spotted Pony and other stores in Old Town Spring. It’s like the Heights without all the ick. And who wants to show Granny the ick factor, anyway? Minus one star for being so far from Pearland or inner loop Houston.
