Shipley DO-Nut Shops

good place for a quick breakfast.

The customer service was great and the seating was good. I just don’t like the donuts. For people who like Shipley’s donuts you will like this location, it’s just not for me.

Very friendly and prompt service! No complaints. We will be coming back in the near future.

It’s a donut shop. Nothing else. There is no fancy lounge or gourmet coffee with whip cream. The fluorescent lighting dares you to stay for more than 5 minutes. But if your looking for one of the best glazed donuts west of the Mississippi, do yourself a favor and stop by and pick up 12. You will be disappointed in yourself if you only get two or three because later in the day the craving will hit you as your brain remembers that warm, flakey glaze from earlier in the day.
I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the damn fluorescent lighting. I find it unnecessarily bright, especially considering people usually stop by early in the morning. If you weren’t fully awake before you walked in the place, you sure as hell will be when you walk out. Don’t forget your SPF 30.

Being new to the area… I kept hearing «You haven’t tried Shipley’s yet?!»
So Saturday morning, when I finally crawled from tmy slumber and woke up the roommates, I had them take me! So we got there around noon. Ordered a random dozen (about $ 8) and got in the car. OMG. Warm, gooey, fresh, amzing, mouth waters, just GO. Don’t walk, don’t think… GO! Chicago doesn’t have anything this good.
The only down fall I have was the creamed filled are a little sweet. But I will still buy them lol just have to cut them in half or share! The cherry glazed was my favorite!
I only gave four starts because I need to try some coffee and other items to give a full 5. I feel that makes it fair lol

My son and I both love the sausage kolaches. He’s also a big fan of the donut holes. Everything is always fresh in hot ready to go.

I was told that one of Texas’s greatest products is donuts. So I was VERY excited on a recent trip to Houston to pop into Shipley’s for some out-​of-​this world Lone Star donuts. I was less than impressed. It was the afternoon so maybe a warm, freshly-​made batch is eyes roll in the back of my head good. But room temperature they’re nothing special, much like Krispy Kreme. Since I discovered Rainbow Donuts in Phoenix, the donut bar has been set very high and Shipley fell short.

This Shipley’s location is actually not too packed in the mornings (around 7:15am) and major plus is that their donuts are always HOT HOT HOT: D
I mean, maybe at a weird time like 2pm they aren’t, but this (to me) is an awesome perk in the mornings.
Saturday FYI — it’s crowded but you kind of feel popular for being there. I noticed that in a single donut line, there stood a fancy business exec, high school’s most popular, a handsome tan guy who looked lake-​bound, and other socially active looking people. That may sound crazy but nutshell is — great breakfast, all the cool kids go here on Saturday mornings.
Valuable Insight: get a sausage /​cheese kolache, chocolate filled glazed donut, and chocolate milk

Great donuts! Way better than the ones we had from Sundale and much better service. :)

Stopped in since next door to Starbucks. Purchased 6 donuts for about $ 3 bucks! They were in the cutest little 6 donut box! I’m a sucker for packaging! My biggest pet peeve @ donut places is the service. But this place had friendly service, even if she didn’t understand what half a dozen meant! Plus the cherry frosting was oh so delightfully delish!!! So glad I stopped by!

Yummy Good Donuts! Eat there if you are in the Spring/​Woodlands area for breakfast. The donuts are wonderful and very fresh. You should also try the kolaches! Yum
