We stopped and had lunch there and it was amazing! Travis is the best hibachi chef we have ever had! Not only was the food excellent, but he kept his entertain and the kids happy through the whole meal. Highly recommend having him cook to anyone. And he’s really funny(that’s the comment my 8-year-old wanted to add).

We had a teppan table here last week. There were two familes, 4 adults and 4 kids. Service was first rate, from start to stop. They very attentive to the kids, drink refills, etc. The teppan«show» was excellent and the food was excellent. Children’s portions were generous, for kids menu. Recommend the beef filet versus the«steak.» For a few bucks more, it’s worth it. I also found the sushi to be excellent and reasonably priced. The total bill for all was $ 220, including tip(but no alcohol). We hit the frozen yougurt place next door for some desert. Wonderful family night out and we will certainly return.

Love coming here! The food is great and the staff is even better!!! Tyler is our go to guy when it comes to the waitstaff… He’s always full energy, funny jokes and very quick on his feet. As long as Tyler is your waiter, you are guaranteed a great time and problem free meal!

Great food, great atmosphere, but most importantly excellent service! Tyler made our meal and the whole experience extra special! It’s nice to know someone still believes in customer service. Kudos to the management team. This is definitely our new Friday night place.

We went on a Saturday for lunch; seated and waited for 10 mins without anyone waiting on us. The place was not busy. We left without any staff noticing.

Went to the new location on Friday night. We tried the sushi and Teppanyaki. The food was great. Sashimi combo was really fresh. Teppanyaki area looks like clean. We got very good service. Our server was very knowledgable about sushi. We love his omakazi combo. Will go back soon! — — — — — — — — — — — — — - We went to this location again on Sunday. Food was good as usual, service was good but our waitress placed wrong sushi roll on our table. The manager apologized quickly and recommended the Rock Shrimp to my son, it was the best shrimp in the Houston area. This location has some special off-menu orders, it’s worth trying here.

For the love of all that is good, please turn down the lights. It feels like your in a police line up when your sitting at the tables. The reflection off your menus from the spotlights is almost unbearable. The food is okay. The rest is only because it’s of its proximity to my house. I think I’ll drive a little further and go to Sakekawa.

I enjoyed the experience very much. We sat at the bar and ordered two Haramakis and a Shaggy Dog. Both were great. I like that the Haramaki sauce was warm and thin like it used to be years ago at the one on 2920. The Shaggy Dog was perfect. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a Shaggy Dog that we really enjoyed. The atmosphere is also very nice. We decided to give this location a shot and we’re glad that we did. The bartender Jarren was really great. He was very attentive, professional, and positive. We don’t always get good service, in fact it’s rare! So when it is great… I definitely like to recognize it. Their service was great! Thank you and keep up the good work! NOTE: We wanted to give this location a try because we had become severely disenchanted with the 2920 location. At the 2920 location: Haramaki sauce cold, thick, and way too sweet No longer making the Shaggy dogs good. They were putting cold, no longer crunch tempura shrimp in the middle. We will now go to the 26400 Kuykendahl location. It’s closer and better!

Very good teppanyaki. The fried rice is amazing off the grill and the smoke catchers are at table level so it prevents you from smelling like a buttery piece of garlic chicken by the end of the night. Prices aren’t too bad either for the location.

Enjoyed a week day afternoon lunch during their soft opening… I believe they are set for success! Creekside Shogun is new restaurant in trendy, urban area. Cool vibe, high ceilings, open and airy earthy feel. Seated quickly. Orders taken and we enjoyed Bevs while we waited. Caring staff and professional manager who checked in periodically with guests on Their experience. Enjoyed tappanyaki… Great selection and good value for the $. Also tried a calamari roll to test out the sushi side of goods and pleasantly surprised(a little simple artistic sauce on it would’ve added a nice and welcomed touch n finish to a bland looking roll). Wishing you oodles of success! New date: dinner on 1÷5÷16: Dinner — party of 7 — great but got order wrong — amazing chef — management failed to put soap in restroom after being advised twice. N 3 hours went by… Something is wrong with that. Sanitary issues in restaurants should be #1 priority.

A fabulous meal always. The staff is phenomenal and very attentive. Very clean and food is always fresh. The«baby lobster» that my son calls shrimp are so good every time. Highly recommended restaurant.

I was excited to hear that this place was open. So close to the house. We walked in on nye and seated right away. Staff was very friendly. As soon as we were seated they took our drink orders. I asked for half cranberry half Sprite. He said we do not have cranberry. So I ordered a root beer. While he was gone getting our drink, I noticed on the menu that they have cranberry juice. How odd. He comes back with our drinks and said I’m sorry we don’t have root beer, here’s your cranberry juice. It was diluted with water. No Sprite in it at all. Very disappointed. As a server you should know what drinks you have. We placed our order for sushi and the tenpayaki. Only one of us ordered fried rice and the rest of us asked for white rice. He ended up making fried rice for all us and charged us for it. Unacceptable!!! This start with our chef. Strangest guy ever. Almost looked as if he was brand new. Not sure what ethnicity he was but I was hoping for someone more professional. He kept singing who let the dogs out. I know this is so thing they do but cmon, your nervousness and lack of professionalism was annoying. No, I do not want food thrown at me to catch in my mouth. Stop asking me!!! It was no the first three times and will continue to be no! I’ve been to kobe and Benihana and had the chef engage with the guests and have tons of fun but nothing like this place. I think they need to change their tactics. He cooked the chicken and noodles for my kids and boyfriend first. Served the meat to everyone. My steak had yet to be cooked. I think that’s very rude. Everyone is eating while I watch you make my food. while he is serving up the food and trying to be funny and cool, he knocks over the beer bottle that my boyfriend is drinking. Another one comes in its place to make up for what he spilled. While we are eating, he cleans the stove top. I get it, clean while it’s hot. Something happens while he’s cleaning and he hits the barrier protecting the stove top and it comes loose and hits the sauces and the plates. are you kidding me??? The food was not tasty. Just a bunch of shoyu on it. At least Kobe and Benihana flavor their food. Soup is not miso, more like a beef broth. Yakisoba taste nothing like the yakisoba I grew up with in Japan. All in all this is just an overpriced knock of my of Japanese food. Checked the bill when it came. They tried to charge us for the beer that got knocked over by the«chef». Got charge for all the«fried rice» when only one was ordered. In my opinion the food is not worth the price and the chef we had is disappointing and unprofessional. Go down the street to other tepanyaki place On the plus side, it looks like a nice place. The view is nice and open. Other than the chef, everyone was awesome and friendly.

Food was decent and the owner seemed really nice but our hibachi chef was so incredibly inappropriate and obnoxious it ruined the entire meal. He pretended to throw his utensils in my face repeatedly(including his knife twice) all after telling us he recently got fired from Beni Hana. He told me to open my mouth and threw rice at me after I said no two different times resulting in rice all over me. It was hard paying the pricey tab for that subpar experience. Praying none of you get that chef.

Ate lunch here during their soft opening. The staff was really friendly and there were no hiccups in service for it being the first day of business for this location. I ordered the Teppanyaki Chicken with fried rice and Miso Soup. The food came out really fast and hot prepared by Mr. Wai(he is the creator of all the sauces at Taisho and Shogun in the Houston area). The manager Phil is really nice, ask for him and he’ll take care of you. I’ll be a regular patron to this location because had such a good experience.
