Okay Unilocalers it’s time for another one of my rants. I am one of the old Unilocalers and I wish that everyone would temper their 5 star reviews. I know most of the people on here are that part of the population that thinks everything is «amazing». These are the same people who were given trophies for participation and feel any grade under an A in school was«the end of their life». First lesson. A five star review means it was one of the best meals you have ever had, now I know most of you think putting cheese and bacon on everything makes it taste like amaze balls but let’s grade things on a curve. Which means 3 stars means the food is good, not average but good but let’s also look at service and price or actually«value» for your money. As an example this restaurants food and drink are«good» but the prices are«wacko» for what you get. I know the people who live out here get all moist and wet when a place like this opens up, but they are raping you you when Mac and cheese costs $ 8, it’s freakin Mac and cheese. For these prices take me to a real 5 star, hell a 4 star restaurant. Not a pretentious gastropub/local bar. I long for the days when people actually didn’t take a bite of an average piece of food and start having a foodgasm, taking pictures and posting their plate on Instagram and then gushing on Unilocal about how awesome this is in their reviews. This place is ok. Stop with the 5 stars. When the alien anthropologist dig up the fossils from our civilization they are going to think to themselves how did a civilization that was so «amazing» go extinct.

Ate here shortly after they opened as we live in subdivision adjacent to this location. Had the Scallops and Polenta. Dish was cooked perfectly. Was disappointed that this Fieldings did not have the signature Lavender Thyme Lemon Drop Martini, or the chicken Bahn mi sandwich. Those are my go to picks at the fieldings on Research, guess I will have to drive further still, although would dine here again.

All I can say is YES times a million! This is a great place for brunch on the weekends. Brandon took care of us and gave us great recommendations. I love supporting a local business as well so needless to say I will definitely be back. I don’t think you can go wrong with your food decision but that waffle was to die for!

We went here for Mother’s Day brunch and loved the atmosphere and vibe!!! The Bloody Mary’s were awesome! The only cons with the food were that the eggs benedict were very ordinary, our food came at different times, and my husband ordered his burger plain with cheese and mayo only and it came out incorrect. They were very nice to do it right the second time as well as comp it off our bill(that was not excepted). They had a little 3 piece band for Mother’s Day which was nice but they were a little too loud in the small space of the indoors. It would have been better if they were on the patio. I am excited to do brunch here again and have made reservations for Memorial Day!

Went this weekend for a birthday dinner(mine). Made reservations ahead of time on Open Table. Easy enough. Seating was awkward, three people at a large booth table, kind of odd. Beer list was good. The list itself was odd with the«on deck» vs. taps. Our server was cordial but didn’t explain the list from the get-go of what those two meant. That’s also fine, we worked it out. We ordered the shishito peppers for a starter. They were very good, fresh and excellent flavor. My husband and I both had the luck of the spicy one. For dinner my husband had the Steak Salad(«not a traditional salad») which he enjoyed. It was a sliced steak with potatoes and some greens. I waffled between ordering the halibut platter and a steak. I ended up getting the a la carte steak — aged filet — plain with the truffle Parmesan butter pasta. Very unremarkable for the price($ 39 for the steak and $ 7 for the side). I was very disappointed given the price. I’ve had a better steak at chains. If I had ordered a sauce or flavor add-on(extra $ 3) it may have been better, but I think that both a $ 39 steak and a $ 7 side can stand well on their own. I was wrong apparently. We also ordered the kids mac-n-cheese for our +1. $ 8 for her. Also unremarkable for the price, and the cheese part of the mac-n-sheese was quite thin honestly. The dessert — which was the very high point — the chocolate sticky toffee pudding, was excellent. Served quickly and with a side of pistachio gelato. We all enjoyed it thoroughly. Wonderful flavor, very sweet, and slight saltiness which was very good. The service was good, our server was kind and attentive. I can’t fault her service. Our final tab was $ 150 with tip, and again, other than the starter and the dessert, was very very pricy given what we got for it. I may be old fashioned, but for $ 150 for dinner with a tip(three tap beers, three meals) I expect to have my socks blown off. Other than the dessert, that didn’t happen.

I took my college aged nephew for lunch after playing golf in The Woodlands. This restaurant is wonderful. I had the lemon ricotta waffle which is the best waffle I’ve ever had. I live Inside the Loop and was considering driving back into town, when I remember this place, so I decided to try it. It was Sunday, so there was music, too. I told the server, it’s time that Fielding’s opens an Inner Loop location!

I really enjoyed my time at Fielding’s. We were very pleasantly greeted by Kelsey who sat us immediately and made us feel welcome. We were waited on by Alex and she was terrific. I really love the Gentlemen’s Relish and I had some wonderment regarding what to get next. Alex was nice and patient and brought out some samples for me to try of other beers(they have a great beer selection) and she made some great recommendation’s. It was busy and she made myself and my buddy feel like we were the only ones there. I had the burger which was yummy and my buddy Mike, who is a vegan, had a salad and fries. When you eat out with a vegan, which is tough at most places for him there are usually snafus(cheese and egg typically), but Alex was on point. Both were vegan perfect! We will definitely return. The outdoor patio is really nice and a great atmosphere.

What an awesome place! Great vibe, service was excellent, food was delicious, beautiful décor. For an appetizer we shared the Lamb Meatballs and Hummus… delicious. My husband ordered the Grilled Cheese(which was amazing) and side salad(huge), i ordered the steak salad… may have been the best salad ive ever eaten. We both had a drink at the bar, then one with dinner. Drinks were wonderful too! The only thing we would do different… make a reservation, especially on a Sat. we walked in and waited almost an hour. Cant wait to try Fieldings Wood Grill!

It was a great night out with great food. I had the diabolique pasta with chicken instead of shrimp and was absolutely phenomenal. My wife ordered the papardelle which was like a stroganoff pasta with short rib and Moroccan spices which exceeded expectations. The bread pudding desert was delicious. Megan our server was really great … Easily our dinner exceeded our expectations. . Greg

What can I say? Best service and food in The Woodlands/Spring area. Fresh, local offerings with some of the best service I’ve experienced. Please come by and check out for yourself. This location is a bit more upscale than the Research Forest location. This will be my new go-to for sure!

My friend and I went here for brunch on Sunday. Let me start off by saying you need a reservation, which we had. The restaurant was full with a good number of people waiting. That(to me) is an indication of how great the food is! The location of the restaurant is in the back of The Woodlands in what appears to be a newer area, so allow some driving time to get there(which we did not do). Now on to the food which was excellent! My friend ordered the Bloody Mary Flight which consisted of four small bloody marys: whiskey and bacon, Hangar 1 Citron, Rey Campero Mescal, and Hangar 1 Vodka. They looked delicious! She ordered the pancake appetizer(which was more of a dessert to me than an appetizer). For our entrees, I ordered the Crab Potato Frittata which had a lot of «stuff» in it so I thought it was difficult to pick out exactly what I was tasting, but it was good. It came with two eggs cooked to my liking on top, so I asked for one egg only cooked over medium. It was cooked perfectly! She ordered the Eggs Meurette which were so pretty when served! It was covered in a gravy, so the bread looked like steak, but it obviously wasn’t. She enjoyed it, but it probably would have been too much for me because of all of the gravy which I’m not used to. Service was not the best, but not the worst. A large group of 20 had come in just before us, and it looked like our waiter got part of that table as well as his other regular tables, so I cut him some slack. It really is a great restaurant with lots of innovative food items to choose from. OH! The hamburger looked delicious! Maybe next time…

I am already a regular at the Fielding’s on Research so needless to say I absolutely loved everything about this location. This location is more upscale focusing on a variety of dishes. The menu at the Research location I notice focuses more on different types of burgers. The restaurant itself is beautiful, love the ambiance, casual but upscale. The service and food was A+. Brunch was tasty, the bloody mary’s were great. I like the ratio of vodka to tomato juice, just perfect not too thick. However, if you order the flight style bloody marys, they don’t come with ice so those are a little to thick for my liking. I will def. be back for dinner one of these days. I don’t make it out to the Creekside often since it’s further back from my house but I am looking fwd. to returning here soon.

Overrated, overpriced! Happy hour is lame. You can only order half price drinks between hours of 3 – 7 if you are ATTHEBAR.

Well my first time was an experience… was greeted by a snooty waiter who barked at us when I asked him if we could sit at the bar tables. That put a sour taste in my fiancé’s mouth from the beginning. He started pushing drinks on us(it was 1pm), and we had two teenagers with us… come on I know you are trying to up your tip but let’s be honest it’s not even 5’oclock! I had the burger which was too salty and the fries had too much as well. The waiter sneakily offered«shrimp or chicken» to go with a ravioli meal($ 14) and when the three shrimp came out they were good but there was an additional $ 12 added to the entrée for shrimp. Seriously he could have said something. The fig and pig pizza I had just had a slight fig jam spread on it(instead of the pizza sauce). Was kind of strange. Will take a lot for me to be back. $ 120 dollars for lunch, nah thanks I’ll take my business elsewhere. You can keep your snooty waiter.

A friend gave us a gift card to the restaurant so we went tonight for dinner. I had made reservation and we were seated in about 5 mins. Our server showed up almost immediately and proceeded to try and take out order. We had barely sat down. We placed drink orders and they came out one at a time in about 5 min intervals. The bourbon I ordered which is very common, they were out of so I ordered something else. Our server must have been new because he wasn’t that good, borderline rude really. It was like he wanted us to order eat and leave. My wife got the chicken and I got the short rib. Her chicken was okay, but was covered in some type of mustard sauce. My short rib was good but the white beans that came with it were hard. Not good at all. One last thing. The owner was walking around but barley recognized anyone unless you had a bottle of wine on your table. So to wrap up, booze if they have it is over priced, and takes forever to get, food is so so, and the owner seemed a bit pretentious. Best part of the whole experience was the gift card. It was a very nice gesture from our friend and we thank her.

We’ve eaten here twice and both times nothing has been left undone. The first time we came was 2 weeks ago for dinner. We didn’t have reservations but were put on a wait list which gave us a chance to do some business at one of the retailers in the center. Just as the hostess said, 30 minutes later we were notified that our table was coming up. When we got there, we were promptly seated near the kitchen. Jason was our waiter and he was outstanding. We started with the Salumi Plate which was outstanding. The vegetables(carrots and cauliflower) were perfectly pickled and had just the right amount of crunch. The meat selection was yummy and the bread was awesome. We both had steak dishes which I did photograph and post on the site but sadly I can’t tell you which ones we had. My steak came with fresh, sauteed spinach and a wonderful sauce that I couldn’t stop eating. The steak was cooked to perfection. My husband’s steak came with kale and Yukon gold garlic mashed potatoes, all of which were outstanding. His steak was also cooked to perfection. Jason made phenomenal wine recommendations and the manager stopped by to check on us, as well. This small gesture in and of itself is noetworthy in that many restaurant managers don’t even bother anymore. Today, January 31, 2016, we came for brunch. We got here early before church let out so the place wasn’t yet crowded. The Hostess was super friendly and attentive and seated us in a(requested) booth. It was in a nice corner and out of the way. Once again Jason was our waiter and he remembered us as well which is something to say for this outstanding young man. I had the Mimosa Flite(I can’t decide if my fave was the Grapefruit or the St. Theresa, but they were all delicious). Hubby had the Bloody Mary flite. You’ll see from the pictures I posted that he ate the Candied Bacon and egg before I could take the picture. So, Jason brought us another garnish so that we could get the shot! We both started with the Corn and Crab Gumbo. I can’t tell you when the last time has been that I’ve had such a flavorful Gumbo. The texture was crisp, the flavors were light and fresh and not muddled. With each bite you could taste the distinctive flavors of corn and crab. Outstanding! For the main course, I had the Eggs Meurette. I’ve never had red-wine poached eggs so I was intrigued. They were mind blowing. Perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The Burgundy Pinot sauce was a perfect compliment to the mushrooms and carmelized onions. I didn’t realize that«Peasant bread» toast meant Rye bread, which isn’t my favorite. But, it didn’t dissuade me from eating the entire plate. I just know that next time I’ll ask for an English Muffin. Hubby had the Crab and Potato Frittata and added an extra, over-easy, egg on top. The eggs were perfectly cooked just the way an over easy egg should be cooked. I only know that from sight because he wouldn’t even share a bite… it was THAT good. Again, the manager came by to check on things and he remembered us as well. It’s such a good feeling to be recognized after only 1 prior visit. This just shows the professionalism and true caring attitude of this restaurant. The meal was filling but not overly so, so I decided for dessert(which I rarely every order). I opted for the Tarte Tartin which was basically an Upside Down Apple Tart served warm with a side of Caramel Gelato. It was very delicious and just enough sweetness for a perfect end. Oh…and Jason recommended and hubby tried… the Smoking Dragon. Wow! It was a cool presentation and hubby liked it. I’m not a whiskey drinker, so it wasn’t my cup of tea. This place is fantastic… from the Hostess to the Server to the Kitchen to the Management. We will defintely be back.

Went for a quick stop, visit n happy hour… Not gonna lie. Great setting n eclectic clean vibe. Fantastic drink and app/dining options! Place was literally empty on a Tuesday night . Unsure Why reserved signs were placed in the bar booths when no one was there??? Why save tables for dining patrons in a small bar area when you have an empty and amazing, architectural pleasing restaurant to fill? Bellied up to bar and enjoyed Bevs with friends … Wished we could’ve stayed longer but had dinner reservations elsewhere. $ 3 and $ 4 drink options were nice(and appreciated) Enjoyed Pinot Noir while others enjoyed plethora of beers. Nick the bartender made us feel welcome and deserves 4.75* Thanks Nick! Only recommendation(which was shared with Mgmnt) …If you don’t have gaskets in the loo and you lack permanent signage over hand washing stations clearly stating the alien-looking tripod water faucets double as drying appliances(vs patrons looking for towel dispenser that doesn’t exist). You’ve missed the basics of restaurant hygiene 101… Tsk. Tsk. How many times can you tell customers you’ve heard that exact same«there’s no paper towels in restroom» but somehow can’t seem to keep permanent signage in place? Cough. Cough. Lazy. Will we be back to partake for real test drive — why yes!(And hopefully we can enjoy on the inviting patio area)

Simple food presented elegantly. We went to the brunch, everything tasted great. Prices are in our opinion well matched to the plates, not too expensive. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I noticed the manager being kind of rude to the employees, I know that has nothing to do with the food but I’m rating this place as a business.

Fielding’s starts with great décor — a cool mix of eclectic, industrial, modern, and vintage styles. We were seated and greeted by Braxton, who did a wonderful job serving us. We ordered a lentil soup, a burger, and a chicken sandwich. Soup was perfect with a nice spice blend. Sandwiches were phenomenally prepared on nice bread with surprisingly good fries. One cool thing I hadn’t seen before was they served simple syrup as an option for adding to iced tea. I will be back!

I love this restaurant!!! Had a casual dinner tonight with friends. It was my first time, but it won’t be my last! Checked out the menu and there was a wide variety of deliciousness!!! The server came over and it was Dustin! He has a great reputation in The Woodlands for delivering top notch customer service and always elevates your dining experience! He was so awesome. I ordered the corn and crab gumbo. It was so yummy! I like it super spicy so I added a little Tabasco, but it has a nice kick without it. For my entrée I ordered the spaghetti diabolique which has shrimp, jalapeños, roasted garlic, Parmesan and oregano so good and so spicy. .. Perfect blend of flavors! I wanted to order another one to go, but I knew my friends would talk about me. Lol! I highly recommend this restaurant! The menu is unique and I was super pleased with my food selection. I cannot wait to go back again. Is tomorrow too soon?
