This place is great, but If you want really great service, ask for Russell Jones. He has been my hair stylist for 8 years now and trust me when I say, if he is working at a sozo, then you know the salon is amazing!

Russell Jones is a great hairstylist, I have been going to him for over 5 years now. He is very knowledgeable of the products he uses, and the styles that fit your need. He always gives you enough time to make sure you are satisfied with your experience. I have sent many referrals his way including my co-​workers and they always tell me how GREAT he is and how educated he is with what he does. If you are looking for a good environment and a fantastic hair stylist Russell Jones is the guy to go too. He will listen to what you need and want and you will be more than satisfied with your results. He also has a great schedule and he will work with you if your schedule can be complicated a bit like mine. :)

SOZO Boutique Salon and Spa was a nightmare. I had my hair cut and colored on Saturday ²⁄₇ by Russell Jones — Russell’s Vision at SOZO. When he washed my hair out he warned me that there was orange in the blonde and didn’t want me to panic when I saw myself in the mirror. He scheduled an appointment for Tuesday ²⁄₁₇ at 2PM for him to fix it. I waited from 1:30 — 2:30 for him at the salon. The staff there was not helpful stating he only rented a chair and they could not do anything for me but leave him a message. He did not return any of my texts or calls until Thursday. He never apologized for standing both myself and sister in law up on our appointments. He made a comment that he does not fix hair because he does not make mistakes. He mentioned that it looked bad after he washed my foils out. For someone that doesn’t make mistakes he sure knew he had. I have pictures I could share and everyone that saw my hair asked what happened and did you do it yourself. I looked like a botch job I did to myself when I was 16 turning my hair orange. My hair was so damaged from over processing that it was falling out by the handfuls. My hair was all one length and I now have bangs. It was hideous. I gave him many chances to apologize and he never would. I guess my family wasn’t worth his business. Myself, sister and mother in law will never return. Please be aware that he does not care about his customers we are just another person in his chair. Also the salon does not care what kind of people rent from them as long as they are getting rent money. Not only does he not fix his mistakes but he also will not refund the money it costs to get your hair fixed somewhere else because of his mistakes. i would have settled for an apology. I am now taking him to small claims court not for the money but for the principle and will be reporting him to the cosmetology board.
