I adore this place! The homemade horchata and strawberry agua fresca are to die for and that’s before you slather everything in sight with their salsa verde.
I went in for breakfast to try the place out before I took my spouse and the woman running the register was amazingly helpful. She let me sample drinks and gave me a rundown of the menu after I’d ordered the taco combo (#4).
Squeezing lime on everything is my favorite way to dig into tacos. I can’t stop talking about their pork tacos which are served with pineapple wedges. The meat is cooked with a spice rub with cinnamon in it which might sound strange but you have to try it.
They offer plenty of options for picky eaters too, which was perfect for my spouse who is a pescatarian.
Day or night, eat here. It’s affordable, delicious, and everyone is incredibly friendly.
Also, they have some of the best refried beans in the area. So flavorful!

Been a while since I’ve been here service is great the Carna asada tacos r to die for very good 4 tacos n drink was like 8 dollars I recommend this place if ur a Mexican food junkie lol now serving beer also

My boyfriend and I have eaten here countless times. While other taquerias in the downtown Springdale area are really good as well, Charley’s really does it right.
It’s a nice feel, nothing to nice which is what I like, but it’s not a self-​service either, the waitress’ that we have had are always extremely nice! We usually go for the burritos, because they never skimp you on the meat.
The flavor combination and simplicity of Charley’s will always keep me coming back. They know how to do authentic Mexican food.

Fresh is best. This small restaurant is not fancy, but their food is fresh and delicious. Start with the Guacamole, and add on the various salsas that were very good and spicy. The chile relleno was surprisingly good. All in all this place was very good with great variety.

I’ve eaten at numerous Mexican restaurants around NWA and this has to be my favorite. I’ve tried a lot of menu items and they’re all good. I like the atmosphere, it’s what I imagine a taqueria to be like. The servers are really sweet and helpful and the cashier always gives good advice on what to try! If you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican food with flavor, try this place!

Highly recommend the guacamole and plate of 3 tacos (Carnitas, El Pastor, Chicken).
They have a little hidden salsa bar, too.
Only negative is no unsweet tea (sweet only).

Delicious, truly authentic Mexican food. It’s a little on the small side (in true «hole in the wall» fashion), so dining in is hit or miss depending on time day/​week. If you’re in a hurry you can always call in your order.

After reading all reviews we thought we would try a new place. I was so disappointed! The service was bad, food cold and when I asked for an extra plate and fork (FOR THE THIRD TIME!) THE WAITRESS SAID «YES OK» THEN PROCEEDED TO CLEAR A DIRTY TABLE NO ONE WAS SITTING AT! Now why would you do that? I waited some more and finally came the plate and fork. I had already eaten my taco over a napkin and the rice and beans were cold when they arrived at the table. It was a very unenjoyable meal and I will NEVER GO BACK!
If you really want HOT AWESOME Latin Food go to Sirenitas on Huntsville Rd close to Dollar General !! Service is a bit slow but the food is worth the wait. It is always very very hot and super tasty. Very inexpensive too.

Best whole in the wall authentic Mex food. If you think La Huerta is authentic then you should try this place. Clean, quaint, and good original Mex food.

Too good for words! When I go here I never seem to buy enough tacos, can’t get enough of these things. This place is a must try for all you taco lovers out there!

I go to Springdale just to eat at Charly’s. It is definitely authentic Mexican food. Not your chain restaurant variety. Tacos a la carte with your choice of juicy meat filling at a great price, including lengua and tripas. I usually go for the barbacoa, carne asada, or grilled chicken tacos. The Tortas (big Mexican style sandwhich) are fantastic too. They have bottled Jarritos (Mexican sodas), canned sodas, and Aguas Frescas as drink options. On the weekends, menudo is available. I think I’ve seen caldo de res on the menu too. Its also nice to be able to pick up a paleta de hielo on the way out for dessert. They are fruity ice pops, Mexican style.
