Chili’s

Chili’s is always a great place to go for a quick enjoyable lunch. Their chips and salsa are superb. they make the chips themselves fresh every morning and you can tell. by far the best chips there are. I always go for the buffalo chicken sandwich. very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The chicken crispers are wonderful as are their hamburgers. Just an overall great tasting menu that is consistently delicious.

Some co-​workers and I had a small celebration and decided to have it at Chili’s. I haven’t been to a chili’s since early childhood but I could vaguely recall fond memories from my last visit. This was not the case. The place was wasn’t packed, so the fact that we waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated and order drinks was a bit long for me. Keep in mind that including myself there were 3 of us. The queso spinach dip looked good at first sight, but upon further inspection there was a thick membrane that had formed over the dish that was clearly microwaved minutes before it arrived. By the time my entrée reached the table I was full on free refills of lemonade and the sizzling skillet I ordered had fizzed out. Overall the taste was nothing special for me. We probably would have been better off just going to chipotle for the celebration. I guess I expected more from this food chain. I didn’t finish my food and I had no intention of taking it to go. Was not satisfied and I doubt I’ll visit another chili’s until I get this bad taste out of my mouth…

I liked the look of the interior, seating areas were cozy and chill. I loved the 100 options of COCA COLA products in all combos and flavors served in a frosty cold mug.
The food I would say is very good, IF — and it’s a big if — it’s properly cooked. On the first visit I was really in the mood for a burger and fries. I like my burgers medium WELL, thank you. So this one came out looking really promising until I took a bite and it practically said «Moo.» Gag. So I sent it back and watched my husband eat. Took a long time to replace but they did get it right the second time. You might want to make a note, according to our waitress that day none of the cooks speak English so she can’t explain to them how you want the burger cooked. Aggh, can you imagine if it was chicken?
My husband enjoyed his ribs, and the food at our second (and final) visit was pretty good (we had a coupon) though I thought the quantity of guacamole was a little skimpy.
The staff were all of slovenly appearance, listless, slow, seemingly annoyed and unhappy. I saw one sulking across the floor with a platter overfilled with tortilla chips, which were falling on the floor. No one came through to sweep them away and on our way out we noticed how dirty the floor was. Service both times was slow and inattentive, e.g. I asked for a drink refill, 10 minutes later I got up and walked to the bar to get it myself… walking right past our waitress who was chatting with another table. Not taking orders, not answering questions, just chatting.
So I do not plan to return, unless I get a craving for a sugar free, caffeine free cherry vanilla Diet Coke for which I would only want to sit at the bar.

Surprisingly good food that came out fast.
We were in the neighborhood going gokarting and had a 2 hour wait so we decided to stop in here for dinner. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been in a Chili’s. The place was huge, so despite it being dinner time on a Saturday, we were seated no problem.
The menu is huge too, though the insert just repeated things elsewhere in the menu. The 4 of us ended up getting things actually pictured in the menu. Even though our food didn’t look like the pictures, those images really enticed us to get what we did.
I ordered the combo plate with a chicken tostada, chicken enchilada and a beef taco. It came with beans and rice. Everything was flavorful. I was nervous about the beef because it is easy for that to get dried out if it sits out too long but that wasn’t a problem. The others also loved their food. They got the fish tacos, chicken bowl, and chicken with carnitas fajitas. I also signed up for their email club and got a free bowl of chips with salsa and guacamole. All of the meal portions were huge too so we were stuffed by the end.
I have just a few small complaints. They don’t have spicy salsas. I love spicy food so I had to order jalapeños on the side. Another person got hot sauce. Also the place was freezing. I had a sweater and scarf on but wish I had brought a jacket! Also be sure to check your table tablet. Somehow our tablet charged us $ 2 to play games. It is a convenient option having the tablet at the table so that you can pay. It does not however offer the ability to split the tab by 4 people. It lets you split and half or three ways. That seems like an easy option that Chili’s could add.
Next time: I’m trying the fish tacos!

The food is good! I come here a lot especially with my family and they have yet to disappoint. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I love their new menu with better and more variety of vegetarian and healthier options. The restaurant is clean and well taken care of, and the food always comes out fast!

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean restaurant. Food is good. I definitely recommend the new tacos (like fish tacos, carnitas, or ranchero… although the chicken is a little salty). The chili mango tilapia or Margarita chicken are great option too. But here is my complaint… my wife asked for a watermelon margarita and it was juicy good but for $ 8.99 i missed the tequila, i ordered a long island by mistake (i should not drink sugared stuffs) when tried it tasted like dr pepper, meaning a bunch of coca cola with few drops of the real good ingredients and then asked for a skinny margarita and the sugar-​free triple sec taste was overwhelming, just tasted like sugar alcohol. My reco to Chili’s is that if you are going to sell margaritas that expensive then pour the right amount of tequila otherwise it is a ripoff.

Mediocre food and service. Iced tea had an interesting plastic taste. Table was dirty and we had to ask for silverware after food was served. Wouldn’t come here if it wasn’t for my kids

I stop in Chili’s every once in a while for a quick and cheap lunch. On this day I went to the bar as I was meeting a friend there for lunch. It took about 5 minutes before I was acknowledged to order a drink.
The service was nice, but spotty so I would consider this an area to be improved upon at this location. To be specific, I wasn’t sitting at the bar itself, but I was at a table in the bar area.
I decided to order the unlimited soup and salad lunch special. The food was good and I would return to this location hoping that the service improves.
Updating prior review and adding a star. The past two visits for lunch have been very good. The service and food was good on each occasion. I will continue to visit for cheap and quick lunches if this trend continues.

We stopped in on Saturday afternernoon. Seated quickly and service good. Server takes order without writing it down. Than comes back because she forgot part of it. Just write it down.
We ordered 2 of the lunch specials with soup and entrée. Price for what we received was a food value. The potato soup was good as was the chicken fajitas Our other entrée was a Mexican bowl with chicken, rice, beans, and corn salsa.
Only items that wasn’t up to standard was the rice each of us received, it was undercooked to point of being crunchy. Had enough to eat so didn’t send it back, but neither of us ate it.

Not sure if this location is closing down, but if not then they have a lot of work to do. It took us a few minutes to get sat and when we did, the back of the booth was wet and we had to ask for a towel to wipe it off. Looking around the restaurant, you would think it was their last night open. We were sitting near the bar and the shelves behind the bar were nearly empty (which would normally be stocked with bottles of tequila, etc.). The hostess was about 17 years old and about 8 months pregnant and we watched her go outside for a smoke break. Our server was also the bartender and seemed like she didnt want to wait on us. She seemed lazy and didn’t have a personality. At one point we asked her for more napkins and she said they were out of them. The food was okay, but bland. We only went to Chili’s because we got a gift card for Christmas and thought we’d try it out. We wont be back.

Food was good, fresh and correct. Staff was oblivious though. We stood at the door for a good 5 minutes before the bartender left the bar to seat us. Another good 10 minutes before a passing server asked «if our server had gotten to us yet.» No not at all. There was only two other groups in the entire restaurant other than us and every server was hidden in the back. This chilis is so much better to-​go, and I do not recommend dining in.

The food was amazing. But the service was awful. We always eat here but today it was horrible.
First they advertised for an appetizer but when we went to order it wasn’t available.
When we did get our appetizers we excepted to order our food in a few minutes later but she never showed up to take out order to get us refills. My husband ended up getting up and going to the server station and refilling our drinks. Another server saw us and ending up helping us with that. And we asked her to send us out server.
She did come promptly come over to take out order but by that time we were almost done with our appetizers.
By the time the food had come we were waiting for about 20 minutes for fajitas. When our food came out we had a couple things missing. Like the tortillas for the fajitas.
The final straw was when the bill came with the break down and said $ 59.50 we used a credit card to pay and when it came back to be signed it said $ 60.50 we asked the manager to find out why the amount change. The reason was those kiosk things they have at each table. We never touched ours, not once, not even to move it but I charged us a dollar!
Needless to say that was the worst service we have ever received.
I still give 2 stars because the food was amazing as usual but the service was the worst.

Just had the best chicken sandwich with guacamole and peppers. The waitress explained that they changed their method of cooking their chicken. It was extremely moist!

It started off so well. Emily and myself were seated almost immediately at 7PM on a Friday night (and that is the only reason it has two starts instead of one). When we sat down I noticed that we had this neat little Kiosk thing-​a-​my-​jig that you could play games on (in case my girlfriend starts to bore me), order appetizers/​drinks, and pay your check. The waiter came shortly and took our drink order which was water when he brought our water back he took our order. It was really complicated, I ordered the Margarita Chicken and my girlfriend ordered Chicken Club Tacos. Twelve minutes later the food runner dropped off the Tacos and Monterrey Chicken. Before I realized I had the wrong item the food runner was gone and our waiter was no where to be found. I waited 5 minutes but since I was on a tight time schedule, I decided to eat the wrong dish.
The waiter did not stop by once during our meal to ask how it was or if we needed anything else (refills, dessert, etc.). I payed via kiosk. After, I paid the waiter asked how everything was and I informed him that perhaps he should start writing down orders as I received the wrong meal.
In short, I will not be coming back to Chili’s Grill & Bar.

We had a gift certificate to come here. At first I thought I wouldn’t enjoy my meal since it’s a chain restaruant, but was impressed!
I got the grilled salmon with veggies. Seasoned and cooked just right. They were able to substitute the rice for mashed potatoes.
Staff was friendly and service was fast.

GET IN MY BELLY!!! NOM NOM NOM… and I’m not even talking about the baby back ribs… I LOVE this place. We used to live closer so we went all the time & my days were made brighter by the bartenders that worked here.
If you follow my reviews at all you’ll realize that I hate waiting so we eat at many a bar top. I probably sound like a raging alcoholic, but I assure you I am not. LOL When I go to Chili’s though the place is just so relaxed and the customer service is fantastic. The bartenders are both great and we have never had a complaint.
I usually just end up getting the south western egg rolls. OMG GOOD and the mini burgers. also good. I dip everything in my ranch dressing and my night is complete. They make a good and decent priced margarita as well and I would tell everyone to go to this place.
Hmm… actually I’d like to go there now and shovel some of their delicious egg rolls into my face. Real Talk.
Oh and Spell check doesn’t recognize NOM as a word, but there is just no other way to describe this delicious food.

Our food is great but our waiter seems lame, lost, down, tired sad, confused… but great food!!!

Ok, not really. But they are the reason we make the pilgrimage to Chili’s. They are the reason that I must go to Chili’s if I’m in the area. They are the reason I dream of a Chili’s opening on the west side (Please take over the closed Texas Roadhouse, please!).
This most recent trip was particularly nice. Our server, Dennis, was really great and was happy to help with everything, including a few special requests. I also got a check-​in deal for free chips and salsa (sorry, it was Foursquare, not Unilocal).
The sad thing is that we get to Chili’s so infrequently that we never try anything new. Maybe next time I can resist the siren’s call from the Chicken Crispers.

The food here is pretty good. I’ll never complain about it. The reason I’m reviewing this Chili’s is… well, for one, I just ate there. But, the main reason… THEY’RE MUSIC IS FREAKIN’ AMAZING!
The wife and I went in on Sunday for lunch, and as we sat and ordered our food, I realized that the song playing on the Musak was great. So, I used my trusty «Shazam» App on my phone to find out what it was «The Winner Is» by Devotchka… which is a song you NEVER hear in public!
Then, the next 4 songs were…

So, this hasn’t been so much a review of Chilis as a review of some sweet ass music… but, it was part of the experience that I thought you should know about!
