I was looking for something healthy and loved the tuna sea glider sandwich. Their fresh brewed tea is really good and the tomato artichoke house soup is delicious. If you are intrigued with flight paraphernalia and history– this is the place to be.

Came here with several guys from work. I got the muffaletta and really enjoyed it. Good size portion but didn’t care too much for the pasta salad. However, being able to sit outside and watch the planes was awesome. My coworkers really liked their sandwiches-finished every bite. Prices are reasonable as well. Recommend it!

This place is great. I have been twice now and have not been dissatisfied either time. The fish Reuben is fantastic, as well as the French dip. Its a little hard to find as it is on the second floor of a building, at the very small Springdale airport. It is great to bike there on the newly finished razorback trail and overlook the small private planes while eating your lunch. My only complaint is the availability. I wish it were open in the evenings as well.

Fresh ingredients with interesting flavor combinations. My son loves to sit on the patio at lunch and watch the planes land and take off. Good choice of salads and sandwiches and craft beer. The service, however, leaves something to be desired.

We found this place on Unilocal while driving thru town. Great beer burgers. The selection of beers, bottle & draft, was extensive. The hostess/waitress was very friendly & helpful. Bill the owner came by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, then invited us to tour his Russian bi-plane, very cool! Very enjoyable lunch.

Really disappointed after I heard good things. Service was awful. She put her fingers on the tines of the forks and inside the glasses when she took multiple ones away. Took over an hour to get our burgers. They were out of chicken… How are you out of chicken in Springdale? Had the $ 250 burgers and they were overcooked. I must have missed the brisket in the burger and they forgot to put the bacon on. What? The bun was a nice pretzel type but that didn’t make up for it. The other burgers that were ordered had buns hard as rocks. When we informed the hostess that there was no bacon she made no effort to make it right.

Under new management. Terrific little diner that is decorated in an airport theme… very industrial. Has a bar with«runway» countertop, control tower televisions, menu on a safety card… Good food, great view! The perfect $ 100 hamburger. I’d give it 5 stars if they had a bigger balcony for outside dining in the spring and fall.

Great food, great local beer. A must visit! A little tricky to find your way to the first time, but definitely worth it. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming, the staff is fast and great. Definitely worth seeking out! Loved the CORE brewery ESB on tap, the Diamond Bear Paradise Porter and the Saddlebock Heffeweisen — and all on tap for $ 3.25 a pint!

I am one of those foodies that absolutely loves coming across those little mom and pop restaurants, that are off the regular path. To me, when I can find one of those little gems, it just really excites me as a foodie. Because I know that generally speaking my taste buds are going to be in for a treat, and I am going to get some really great service. Granted, I have been to a few that just do not make the cut, not even close. And that is really sad, because they have such a great opportunity to connect with their customers and build a relationship with them that will last . Well, I am here to tell you about one of those mom and pop restaurants that do hit the mark, and do pride themselves on made from scratch food, and top notch customer service. These folks truly care about their customers, and strive to get to know them by name. In today’s day and age, how amazing is it when you go into a restaurant or café and the staff recognize you, and even remember your likes and dislikes? This is one of those places. When you go in, you feel like you are at home, and mama is getting ready to dish up some of her wonderful food. Facility What is really cool about this place is that it is located in the Springdale Municipal Airport(upstairs), just off of Powell St. With a wonderful view of the tarmac, you get to not only have a great lunch, but you also get to watch the planes take off and land. They have been at this location for 24 years, give or take. You aren’t in business that long without doing something right. Using the elevator to get upstairs, I would imagine this restaurant is ok for wheel chair accessibility. Now, on to the food! Growing up in the south, home style southern cooking is just something I am used to and appreciate. There is a different«feel» and taste to good olé southern cooking. It is a staple of the south. And at this restaurant you will find some of the good olé staples like; country fried steak, fried catfish, homemade chili and fried okra. But you will also find other items such as; the Freddie’s Philly, the French Dip or maybe even a Chili Salad. Freddie’s Philly First of all, lets talk price. This bad boy is only $ 6.25, and has a veggie option that is just grilled veggies for only $ 5.25. Talk about value for money spent! The taste on this philly was great, portion size was excellent. For you Philly lovers out there, this is a no brainer. Served with a nice side of french fries, you just can’t go wrong. I could sit down and eat plate after plate of this, granted, you might have to wheel me out the door, but I would be happy! Ham and Beans So growing up in the south, I can say honestly I have tasted a LOT of ham and beans in my lifetime. And a good batch of ham and beans is just one of the best things around, and let me tell you, their ham and beans are great. I added a little pepper sauce to mine, that is just the way I like it, to kick them up a notch. One word — YUMM And one more word — YUMM Coleslaw Another of their made from scratch sides is their coleslaw. This coleslaw is very creamy, as well as fresh and light. I really liked this one a lot. I tend to like a smaller«mince» for my coleslaw, so this worked perfectly for me. So for you coleslaw lovers out there, make sure to try this one when you go there. Country Fried Steak and Friends I tried out their country fried steak, smothered in a nice white country style gravy. This one really hit the spot. The steak itself was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. And the gravy was very rich and creamy. I also got a side of okra and beans. Two staples of a good southern café. And these hit the spot for sure! Rolls and more Make sure to also give their made from scratch rolls, muffins and cornbread a try when you go there. They have an «orange» roll that is to die for and a definite must try for any foodie. Personally, I could sit down and eat a whole plate of these with little effort! The cornbread is really good and not overly sweet. Peach Cobbler When it comes to a «southern» dessert staple, most foodies think of a peach cobbler. And I can tell you first hand, there are some places out there that try to pass off what they call a peach cobbler to us foodies. Well this is a really great made from scratch peach cobbler. As you can tell from the photos this is just perfect. The crumble is spot on, and the flavors will send your taste buds into food nirvana. What are the most important factors for a foodie during their visit to a café? The first factor is the food. If an establishment can not provide good quality food, they have no chance at all. And I am here to tell you that The Airport Café hits that nail on the head. The quality and consistency of the food there is good, and on top of that the portion sizes are very good.
