I travel from Tulsa(2.5 hours) to get coffee from these guys. I walk up to the door at 8pm(they close at 9pm), I reach for the door… And it is locked. I stand there perplexed because there are 30 people inside. I knock, they all hear me, and no one answers. I read the small sign written on a napkin hanging on the inside of the door. Says, «sorry, we are closed for a staff meeting.» Thanks for the kindness and consideration to put that basic info on your website, guys. Come on, America.

Ehh … the coffee is a bit overpriced and not very flavorful. The chocolate brownie was good. Amibance is pretty cool. I might give it another shot, I dunno …

I have been to Onyx a couple of times in the Springdale area and have had excellent experiences. The building is beautiful and the attention given to the décor inside matches the exterior, too. The lattes are yummy and the folks behind the coffee bar are helpful and friendly. There’s plenty of space to have meetings or set up for some laptop work time or you can buzz in and out.

I moved to NWA from beautiful San Diego, CA(don’t ask) four and a half months ago and suffice it to say, it has been a huge adjustment. Onyx is the closest thing I’ve found to the awesome wine and tea bars we have back there. I’m not a coffee drinker, but their tea from Savoy is high quality and while, at times, the scones are dry, most of the pastries are pretty good. I particularly love the funky vibe of the staff. Definitely feels like a little dose of California in NWA.

Love this place! Their fall menu is wonderful and they have great snack selections; I would suggest getting the banana bread. This is a great place to enjoy a good cup of coffee and get some work done. They also play some great music.

Absolutely love when people take high quality coffee and experiment with unique flavors and drink combinations. Forget generic syrups and experience delicious, unique flavors. We visited here while traveling across the country and this was quite possibly the most creative shop we visited. And we visited some huge shops in LA.

Not to bad. Been there twice and will return again :) just wish they had a location in bentonville or rogers! Clean and mostly friendly staff this morning. It’s a very nice set up and the coffee is great.

It was overpriced. I love local experience, and this coffee bar was ok, but have experienced better. I could see it being much better if they worked on the snobbish customer service, and more comfortable seating. Another part of local I like to do is buy t-shirts. The girl behind the counter, after I interrupted her daydream to pay, shrugged me off with a no we have xxl shirts. The experience would have been better if she acted interested. Coffee instore is higher than the online price from onyx. Lastly, my brewed coffee had lots of grounds like a mishaped filter. Done with the place.

I have had to come into town a couple of times for work this year. I really enjoy working out of Onyx for coffee & tea. Everyone is really nice, customer service, and a great atmosphere to work in.

I like everything here except their drinks. Their drinks are usually plain and the coffee tastes sour. Their bakery section could be more abundant

Hands down the best coffee spot in Northwest Arkansas. When you walk in, I literally feel like I’m inside a coffee shop in San Francisco or New York. My only gripe about this place is that it is a little out of the way. Perhaps it’s because I don’t actually live here, but it is about a 5 minute drive after you exit the freeway. Nonetheless, it hasn’t stopped me from coming here.

My almond milk latte was fabulous. The man making my drink was very friendly. But the coffee shop itself was strange. Set in the corner of a strip mall with very little parking. The interior reminded me of a hookah lounge. A very eclectic group of patrons. Not a warm cozy coffee shop vibe. The menu was extremely limited. I’ll defiantly return for the great coffee, probably won’t meet friends there for a coffee date.

Friendly staff, good service. Fresh roasted coffee and cold brew coffee. Fun to watch the process. I loved the latte. Perfect amount of coffee flavor, not burnt tasting. The drip coffee was a little too light roasted for my taste. My husband and I tried three different of the drip and Americano, thought they were all a little sour. Some people like that, it’s just not my favorite. They sell nothing larger than 16 oz coffees. I guess I understand because of the whole ‘small batch’ thing but I still want a bigger coffee, I can’t help it. I would go back for a latte. Disappointed in the drip, I have had much better.

Onyx is by far the best coffee in NWA. If you are looking for a great cup of coffee that was roasted fresh, this is the place to go. Cool atmosphere, too. Definitely worth it. Oh, and the staff is really knowledgeable. Obviously obsessed with coffee.

Love this place! Interesting coffee menu and a very relaxed place to sit and spend the day working. They roast the coffee beans right in front of you which really fascinated me(i even got a video ;)) Haven’t tried their food menu yet but I assume its good since a lot of people me seemed to be enjoying it. Must try for people in the NWA Area!

Onyx Coffee Lab is by far the best coffee place in NWA. They have single origin coffee they roast in house, many different types of sciencey brew methods, and amazing baristas to put it all together. On top of all that, It’s trendy so you look cool while you are there. I go to Onyx Coffee Lab all the time to work on stuff, read, or just hang out. It’s pretty much my home away from home. My friends think one day I will be there for so long they will just give me an apron and tell me to start working. But that makes no sense because they don’t wear aprons! If you are looking to kill time, do some work, or even go on an awkward date hit up Onyx Coffee Lab and everything will work out!

I only thought I was a coffee snob before Onyx came along. After attending my first cupping, I became enlightened and life has been incredible ever since. The amount of knowledge, precision and passion that has gone into their product cannot be matched by any other roaster in the area. Every night as I go to bed, I’m already looking forward to waking up the following morning because I know that the first thing I’ll do is grind up some incredibly fresh Onyx beans and drink the greatest cup of coffee of my life. If your morning cup doesn’t do this to you, you need Onyx. Onyx will also help guide you to ensure that your brewing method produces the best result.

Great care in the roasting and barista work. They do a great cupping at 10AM most Wednesdays that’s worth going to for the enthusiast. I highly recommend Onyx. These people are the face of coffee innovation in NWA! I’m a home roaster and a barista, so finding a place like this where I totally trust the baristas to make exactly what I’m after is huge!
