Like a small whole foods or co-opt right outside Zion National park. They had propane when the gas stations didn’t have. Prepared food was good. Variety was great especially for tourist or car camper

All these people complaining about price, get a clue. In a resort town? of course it’s going to be premium pricing. As for me, got an amazing, tasty, focaccia bread with thick cuts of tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto, a small bowl of homemade(tasting) hearty chili, both from the from the deli counter with a 20oz Dr. Pepper for $ 13.57. Plus I grabbed some fresh basil off the plants growing in herb garden. If I got this same thing in one of the cafes down the street, would have probably cost more and the service at the deli counter was friendly. Salad bar was full of variety and looked fresh. This place reminds me of my favorite local market. Ate on their beautiful and charming patio in front. Do yourself a favor and do the same as me.

Well, I agree that prices are 2 times or more expensive than Walmart or Costco. However if you are willing to just shop for what is on sale or clearance you can eat. It saves a long drive. Keep an eye on the register though; we bought Hunts Traditional Pasta Sauce, on clearance for $ 1.29, but it rung up $ 2.79, we had the same thing happen last week, and had the same poor checkout person! He held the line up and went back twice, even after I reminded him we had the se issue last week. He apologized. Again. The hardware store is much better in pricing, and is very well equipped. Overall I don’t mind them making a few dollars extra on my purchase. I appreciate that it is here, and has some high quality items.

UNHOLYRIPOFF!!! BEWARE!!! Instead of Sol Foods where sol means sun, it may as well be suck your soul foods since the prices are absolutely rude and ridiculous! Cute little store that gets $ 5.69 for a can of soup that is $ 1.29 at Walmart!!! This is by far the worst price gouging we have seen in Zion! We walked out and didn’t get anything after seeing the prices… At the café we went to later they said locals get a discount card and only tourists get the full ripoff here… Way to go Sol Foods on price gouging…

Love this grocery store in Springdale. We’ve always been able to find everything we need, including fresh fruit, vegetables, candy, decals, and even fresh brownies. The woman with the purple hair was really fun and we really appreciated Grant; he was helpful and cheerful.

Summary based on a two visits: –surprising complete supermarket with, ta-da, Vernor’s Ginger Ale that’s great for an upset stomach(as folk medicine) –pricey. Shocker. –check the refrigerated section for pre-made meals that are substantially cheaper than the frozen dinners –easy underground parking(in low/mid-season) –friendly service –bags $.05, so bring your own Recommended.

On our trip to Zions we drove for 2 hours then stopped for a bathroom break and realized that my husband had forgotten our cooler with 2 days worth of food. Having passed all the large cities we decided to stop by Sol foods and grab something for lunch later. Everything in the store was not surprisingly overpriced. $ 3.50 for the smallest cheap brand of mayo and 4.99 for 16 oz of ham. You see, I was planning to make sandwiches but when I realized it would cost me $ 20 to make 2 low budget sandwiches, I decided it would be better and safer to just grab 2 premade sandwiches from their deli. It still costed about $ 15 for 2 sandwhiches but it was delicious and loaded with much more ingredients. I just have to mention that I was quite impress with the amount of items that they carried. Yes, everything was quite overpriced but they had a great selection of items for a store that is practically out in the no where.

Check out this well-stocked – if pricey – grocery store in Springdale. I was surprised to find a store of this calibre in a small national park-adjacent town, and found it to be like a mini Whole Foods. Their cheese selection was great(they even had Cypress Grove cheese!), freshly made salad selections and full service deli were great. Produce was fresh and delicious. We picked up a LaBrea Bakery sourdough baguette, French brie and salumi for our picnic while on a hike in Zion. They also have a good selection of craft beer and wine in the refrigerator, and everything else you’d need from a grocery store. Prices are kind of high, but that’s what you should expect when you’re in a tiny resort town.

OVERPRICED! I probably shouldn’t have given them 4 stars due to price but they honestly have an extremely large selection of just about everything! Fruits, veggies, deli counter, first aid, all groceries needs, single serve drinks and snacks and beer(no wine or liquor)

Before you go a national park, hiking or walking or doing any type of outdoor activity, make sure you PACK and pack well. Pack well as in get your stuff(food and supplies) ready so when you need something you don’t need to stop by a market only to get ripped off. Now I understand that the overhead cost to run this market is probably really high, but do the foods(particularly fruit) need to be that high that it clearly is price gouging? I understand the need to mark up beer 6x the normal price because you should always bring your own on a road trip if you plan on camping out or hanging out. But to mark up fresh fruit like apples and grapes and whatnot seems a bit like the banker in monopoly. Doesn’t seem too nice. I know we’re not in California and fresh fruit could be quite the commodity but I’m sure getting a truckload of things to run a market could be more cost efficient than what they’re portraying. Which isn’t nice! I’m not paying $ 6 for a pineapple. I did buy their banana bread for breakfast since we were going to be out and about and needed the sugar. That was really good, and not too pricey since it was made in-house. I also picked up a small pint of milk and some hot cocoa sachets because what better way to unwind from the cold day than some Land o Lakes raspberry hot chocolate. It was fabulous!

Sol foods has great inventory for the Zion visitors. Much of the food is ready to eat and perfect if you are staying in the local hotels. If your interested in architecture this store has a natural outside appearance and matches the local area well. Inside it has modern lighting and all the mechanicals are visible near the ceiling installed in an eco friendly style. Look for the cookies at the checkout counter(very good) and bring your own bags.

recommended by the concierge as the local market to get necessities before our hike in Zion, we went here to get fruit and water since we arrived before check-in and went straight to the park. Its priced similarly to a Whole Foods but without the quality. Within the town you cant be too picky as there are limited options. I would suggest stopping by the grocery store outside of Springdale like in Hurricane or St George to get your groceries before heading into Springdale or else you will be overpaying.

Terrible customer service. Let me preface that I’ve never returned any food to a grocery store in my life. I purchased avocado dip and some chips. The dip was certifiably disgusting. Didn’t even taste like avocado. After looking at the ingredients, avocado was the 4 ingredient. There was more oil and water in the dip(individually) than avocado. So I returned to the the store to ask for an exchange(I found real avocado dip in another part of the store for $ 0.20 more). A pretty reasonable request if you ask me. The customer service lady and store manager said she couldn’t return the item… refused to listen. The dip even says«guaranteed delicious». After going back and forth with her all she could say was«I’m sorry, our policy is we can’t return any items». I guess I’m sorry too. Sorry I spent at least $ 50 at your store in the past 2 days. Sorry I won’t ever go there again. Sorry I can’t ever recommend it to anyone I know. But I’m not sorry that I will be purchasing my groceries before I get to Springdale. What a waste. Hope she learns some basic customer service skills.

Great selection of specialty items. I was even able to find a pack of vegan jerky. I bought: a 6 oz tiny coconut water, a single serving bag of chips, a single serving vegan jerky. My bill was $ 10 The price points here are insane!!! You could save money buying a cooler and packing it full of whatever you need. If you are planning a camping trip in Zion, please plan ahead of time. I can’t see getting out of this store without spending all your extra $$$!

The effect of supply and demand at its works. I really wanted to give this place a one star, but I thought about everything and I think it deserves 2 stars at most. The store is conveniently located right outside of the West entrance to Zion. They have their own parking structure, which is nice. Now to the food, they’ve got plenty of frozen, canned, and packaged items, however, the prices were insane! I understand overhead costs for shipping items to a location like this must be expensive so I expect to pay more, but the prices were about 4x the amount you would pay at a Raley’s or Safeway. The bananas were not brown or completely green, so I give them credit for that, but most of the apples were very soft. It took me and my boyfriend about 4 minutes to find two apples that were firm and of good color. What really upset me was the burrito my boyfriend picked out. It was the only burrito left in the refrigerator and was on sale because it was made 2 days ago. All I can say is, if a grocery store offers discounted items because they are old, they should at least be edible. The burrito emitted potent odors as soon as we unwrapped it and had an awful sour smell. I didn’t take my chances at all.

Great market to get your goodies but it can be expensive on certain items but extremely convenient. Stopped by twice in the evening and they have a lot of items to choose from. Staff is polite and accommodating in any way. Parking is plenty under the market and lit up for safety. First stop I picked up a sandwich and some chips plus fruit and drinks. Second night we stopped by for candy and ice cream.

We came to Sol Foods numerous times during our few days in town. It’s your basic grocery store where you can buy food and other goods. First night we stopped in to get water and snacks. The next morning we came back for gloves(at the hardware store). Overall it was an alright place — especially considering it was the a couple of blocks from the hotel. The employees were always friendly and the store was always clean and in perfect order. This isn’t their fault — as I think it’s a Utah state law things… but, they don’t sell wine here. On our first night we really wanted some wine to sip on our balcony as we unwinded for the night — and hopefully warmed up too. However, they did send us a mile or two up the road where they had wine… very nice of them to point us that way. The hardware store is a little pricey(especially on the gloves that I bought!) but I get it. They have all the basics you might need for the house. It’s tiny compared to the big box home good stores, and has a nice small town charm feel to it.

Came here on a late, cold night. They carry a ton of vegan/vegetarian-friendly foods but that are not totally helpful if you’re staying in a place with a microwave and nothing else. We drove 30 min to WalMart because I needed a jacket… snacks just came in second. This market has mugs! So, buy tea. Not convinced more than one or like, .5 people work here.

Avoid if you can! Check out the other grocery stores nearby, but if you can, I’d really recommend you visit the grocery stores in the city of Hurricane. If you must shop here, check the EXPIRATIONDATES on the products you plan to purchase! Most deli and dairy products I checked were expired already. Discounted, maybe, but expired. Produce looked okay. The tangerines and bananas we got here were nice and fresh. Workers are very nice here, and there’s a microwave for you to use if you need it.
