Let’s face it, the last thing Springdale needs at the moment is another Mexican restaurant. So what sets this restaurant apart from all of the others in Springdale? This restaurant offers a wide variety of Salvadoreno food in addition to Mexicano food. If you haven’t experienced Salvadorean cuisine you’re in for a treat. Try the pupusa revuelta or the tamale Salvadoreno. They also have excellent pastelitas and a good variety of cervesas,(full bar), as well as very refreshing horchata. They have great lunch specials and the staff and patrons are friendly. Plus, the bar is lively at night. For as long as I can remember this building housed Jake’s Gill. I’m not sure when Jake’s closed, but it’s a shame the sign didn’t survive to be re-purposed for Tesora Beach. It was a classic.
