Have always wanted to try Arlington’s and one day after the Farmer’s Market I happened to see it down a quiet, secluded street by chance. We decided to stop in for lunch. Cute outdoor seating area and very funky and cool interior — lots to look at. Their bathroom was clean but VERY dim. Perhaps so one can’t notice if it’s dirty? Hehe. Anyways… I’m assuming it was the owner that greeted us and he was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful big open windows let in a lot of natural light in the lower seating. Unfortunately both of the meals we ordered were very disappointing and way overpriced. Small portion too. We left and went home and had to eat some more. The waitress did a good job although she messed up our order she was very polite and not too attentive but just helpful enough. Unfortunately because we weren’t pleased with our meals and it was very pricey($ 14 for a small salad) we won’t be returning.

The drinks are good and the food is all right. I had really high expectations from what I had heard. And I really didn’t see what the big fuss is about. The atmosphere is extremely casual.

Went here for a late dinner with some friends, LOVE this place. Decorations are fantastic. Great atmosphere, and great food. I had the gourmet grilled cheese, it was exceptional. Server was quick with drinks and super friendly. There wasn’t a single complaint from my group, can’t wait to go back!

Food was okay and way over priced, esp an extra 2.00 to change house made chips for onion rings that were less then a hand full I will not be coming back.

We had a wonderful and reasonably priced meal here tonight. I had a chicken sandwich and my wife had the Greek wrap. Both were good as was the service. Our drinks and meals where brought out very quickly, but I should note that they only had a few tables when were there. The restaurant has a nice quirky interior that might not be to everyone’s liking, but we thought it was great!

Took our family here for Saturday evening dinner. Service was great. Waiter attended to us and we hardly knew he was there. Food was good, the kids enjoyed it and inviting atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times for parties in their upstairs reception room. First off, the whole restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the upstairs doesn’t disappoint either. The building was established in 1917. Arlington’s has classic old school charm with a modern flare to it. The food is also delicious. I’ve had brunch and dinner here and was not disappointed. The only negative I have about the place is that one of the bartenders they had working was uneducated in making drinks and change. I would recommend to go here for dinner and drinks with friends, a romantic date, or hosting a party in their reception room. Upstairs Reception room holds 140 people sitting and 300 people standing.

Well… Where should I start service was slow. Food took a long time to bring out. On top of that they say 10% military discount but when I asked and showed them verification the waitress said not at this time. I didn’t know there was a time limit on my service. Way to go to serve the military… NOT… Just terrible… Never go back.

I thought this place was lovely. Great beer choices, nice décor, excellent burger. We were all happy with our dinner choices. Downside: the kids burger was super tiny. Upside: the small child had plenty of room for his root beer float. Service was a little disjointed but the black and blue burger on brioche made up for any short comings. Best food I had in Springfield.

This was my first visit to Springfield, and I was pleasantly surprised with Arlington’s. They have a unique atmosphere, with a nice variety of burgers with good vegetarian options. Good beer selection, and lots of tasty appetizers. It rivals the pub fare you can find on the east coast, and is much more affordable! Good for groups also. Parking can be challenging.

We have went twice in the past 2 weeks. Love the bar area. Love the atmosphere. Not too bright, but very relaxing. Food is pretty good too. Hamburgers are good, but very rich tasting if you are not used to that type of beef. Pierogies pretty good too. We would go back again.

I come here for lunch often as its near my work. The ambiance is on point, the servers are quick and friendly and the food is delicious! Highly recommended ia the chicken club sandwich on sourdough with regular bacon and chipptle mayo — it’s my favorite!!! :)

While relatively new to Springfield, and with a rather small menu, Arlington’s is a force to be reckoned with. The atmosphere is great — nice and open, with great lighting from the big front windows. The food is phenomenal. The burgers are huge, bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. The prices are excellent, especially because you get so much food for your money! I highly recommend checking them out if you haven’t yet.

The best hamburger I have had in Springfield. I would like to try the grilled cheese with tomato soup reduction. A patron in an earlier post was upset that his grilled cheese didn’t come with soup, but I can see how the menu can be misunderstood in the description. I have had great service, and I’ve had so-so service. I saw the owner bend over backwards for some tourists who had a hotel voucher, but who didn’t want to wait for a big table. I thought they were rude, but he did everything he could to make them happy. I tried a wrap another time which was ok, but the burger was so good, that I always try one of the several burger options when I go.

Another half-assed Springfield establishment. I held off for a review until a second visit because my first was shortly after they had opened, but it doesn’t seem much has improved. The décor on the walls made me very hopeful! It’s just super cool! They really thought it out and included some amazing prices! I was disappointed when I got to my table, however. The furniture in the joint is just *not* on the same level as the rest of the décor! If you’re going to go for a hip vibe, commit. Go all the way. The service is paltry at best. It took 15 minutes after getting our drinks before we had to ask the waitress to take our order, who seemed to be bothered about that. She also failed to notice that I had already finished my first water and could probably use a refill. I only got one refill much later from a different member of the wait staff. I would have asked sooner, but she only came back twice to give us our food and to give us our check. Very inattentive. I ordered the grilled cheese, which is supposed to come with tomato soup, and I ordered an additional side of onion rings. When the waitress brought out my food there was no soup. I inquired and then she decided it was a good time to inform me that they were all out of tomato. You know, half of what’s supposed to come with that entrée. So I politely asked if I could get a different soup(it was a rainy day, soup sounded perfect!) and ordered the chicken tortilla. The grilled cheese was average. They said there was supposed to be three cheeses, but I could only taste American. The bacon was only on one half of the sandwich. Onion rings were good, fried just right, but not much flavor. The chicken tortilla soup was pretty average as well. Overall, between the quality of service and food, it was *not* worth the $ 15 I paid. If you’re going to charge that much for your food you *must* be consistently *solid* and your wait staff needs to have some semblance of what their job means. Unfortunately in Springfield they don’t have much competition, so I doubt this establishment will ever better itself.

Arlington’s is an excellent out-of-the-way spot for dinner and/or drinks. It’s a mix of classy and fun with its Victorian-inspired décor, solid craft beer list, and unique menu. It’s one of Springfield’s newest places and already one of my favorites. The craft beer list is solid, the food is really good, and the bartenders and patrons are friendly. What more could you want?

The Arlington’s ambience is great… like stepping back in time with modern conveniences. The bar is semi-rustic with two TVs. At 11:15am they weren’t busy so many staff members were occupying the wait station near the bar area. We were seated by a very polite hostess. The only issue with the staff at this point were the two bus persons conversing in the dining area, the older clearly disgruntled. The server was very kind, with a welcoming smile. She took awhile to notice our lack of utensils but I’m not sure if that was her job or the hostesses. The server was clearly unfamiliar with the menu, but the place just openned 2 weeks ago. However, the server did remove my Sprite from the table to refill it… a no-no in the restaurant business. The only major issue was when she played with a toddler at the next table(I think she knew the mother and child) and rubbed the child’s food covered t-shirt. She then returned to her post at the wait station until it was time to tend to us again… never washing her hands. A sanitation violation. The food was very well prepared, the only thing allowing me to give 2 stars. Chicken skewers had alot of rosemary. The blackened chicken was perfect in the Spicy Wrap! My wife had a sandwich and raved about it. So, we will try it again. The issues seem isolated. Look for the updated review soon!
