Ashcraft HVAC and Appliances

Had Ashcraft Appliances come to fix my water heater through my Insurance company, after couple of others failed to fix the issue. I couldn’t be any more happier with their knowledge, and professionalism, I highly recommend them if you need any repairs.

The worst contractor that I have ever experienced.
They looked at our dishwasher that was leaking slowly and determined that it needed a new pump. They said that it would take 10 days to get the part. I called them several times and never received a call back. Only after I complained to our home warranty company, First American Home Buyers Protection, did they return my call. Ashcraft scheduled two service dates that they canceled the second of which they canceled after they were supposed to be at my house. Instead of making time to fix the dishwasher the technician, John Abraham, decided to cancel the appointment. It is my opinion that he was being lazy and did not want to make his last appointment on New Year’s Eve.

We called to have a dishwasher fixed, the real issue was that the door had become unhinged, the heater of the dishwasher wasn’t working, they 1^st suggested Sears, who didn’t have any appointments for 14days, they sent out another DREMUS APPLIANCE REPAIR who said he didn’t think he could fix the heater, then ASHCRAFT APPLIANCES was sent who is very very dishonest repair man, read his revues on Unilocal.
” First American Home Buyers Protection” has given us a run around & lies all over, one day they promise to foot the bill for replacing the dishwasher & the next day they are sending someone to fix it…
PLEASE avoid these people at all costs.

You want your appliance repaired then don’t ever use Ashcraft Appliance. Lack of customer service, unprofessionalism and sarcasm are all things that come to mind from this small business owner; such an insult to the hard working small business owner. Unfortunately, Ashcraft Appliances is a service provider through First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation and they are the worst. I had my service call diagnosis in January 2014 of this year and I have not had use of my microwave since then-​went out the day after xmas. Ashcraft cannot or will not fix my microwave, their behavior suggest they are not capable and instead of just being honest and letting FAHBPC know of their capabilities they continue to tell FAHBPC that they ordered the part for repair when in actuality they have not Ashcraft has taken my 75 dollar diagnosis fee with no action what’s so ever and I work very hard for my money. I am very patient as you can see I have other means of cooking but December will here soon. Wow what an experience and I am very disappointed and will report to the BBB also as this unprofessionalism needs to stop, not sure why they are in business.

Ashcraft is a homeowner’s worst nightmare. Our fridge stopped cooling while we were away. Everything was spoiled. The moment the repairman showed up (7 hours after they said they would) he had an attitude. He was unprofessional and arrogant. He opened the fridge and without looking anywhere else he said, there is nothing wrong, the fridge is working just fine. We told him everything in the fridge was spoiled, the lights went out, the control board went out. The fridge was not cooling, clearly there was something wrong. We literary had to beg him to investigate and diagnose the problem. He grudgingly (!) pulled the fridge away from the wall and after the touched something in the back he yelled out. We asked him what was wrong. He said that the compressor was extremely hot and he burned himself. So we thought we found the problem, OK– the compressor is bad. Not so fast! The technician told us the insurance company will not authorize the new compressor and that the fridge is working. You have to be kidding me?! He said there was nothing he could do and started to leave! We asked him to prepare a report for the insurance company to let them know the compressor was extremely hot, he said he would. As we found out later, he never did. The next day we went out and got a thermometer. The fridge was above 58 degrees all day. We called Ashcraft about 8 times to send a repairman again, because obviously the fridge was not working. We did ask for a different technician. Mind you, when you call Ashcraft you have to pray the owner answers his phone. When he does, he says «Hello?“No, «Ashcraft Appliance, how can I help you?» No. Also, when he doesn’t pick up you get a voice mail, but you cannot leave a message because the voice mail is FULL! How unprofessional! Anyway, the next day at 8:30pm! the SAME technician showed up again, with an attitude. We told him that the fridge was NOT working and it was very frustrating to deal with his company. Confronted with the thermometer showing almost 60 degrees, all of a sudden he said that the mother board, damper and control board had to be replaced! He said that he could order the parts but because it was Friday and Monday was a holiday, the parts won’t be delivered till Tuesday. He said he did a temporary fix to tide us over the weekend. The temporary fix was a joke, the fridge was 55 degrees and we couldn’t keep anything in it, not even milk. On Tuesday, my husband kept calling Ashcraft all day to see when someone would come in. No answer. At 5:58 pm! on Tuesday evening the owner calls us and tells us that he hasn’t ordered the parts yet, but he will, and they will be here NEXT MONDAY! Is this some kind of a joke? We told them it was absolutely unacceptable and needed the fridge to be fixed sooner. He said he can have parts overnighted it for $ 65. We had no choice. We agreed to pay. The next day I started calling the owner of the company and when I finally got a hold of him I informed him that we expect someone to come to our house to install the parts as soon as they get in. He stated that parts may get in late and it may be too late for a technician to come. We demanded the repair to be done the day the parts came. The technician showed up at 7 pm and installed the 3 parts. Before he left I told him that no cool air was coming from the damper and it did not seem the fridge was fixed. He told me to give it some time. Well, we did– the entire night. 12 hours later the fridge still wasn’t working and the thermometer indicated it was 85 degrees in the fridge! We called the company’s owner again and explained that the fridge was not fixed. He said he would send someone out. The next late AFTERNOON the same technician showed up and started to work on the fridge. Apparently, he installed the damper wrong. This time he decided to leave the damper open to facilitate the cooling. A couple of hours after he left the fridge turned into a freezer. Everything we put in: milk, eggs, juice froze! The technician came out again the next day and told us that he ordered another part that should take care of the problem. He left the fridge operating on a temporary basis. We had no light in the fridge, but it was somewhat cool. Another WEEK went by during which we kept calling to see if they got the part. On Wednesday the technician came with a part. He started installing the part and as he was doing it he was huffing and puffing. He was on and off the phone. We finally asked him what was wrong. The technician stated that «they» sent him a WRONG part! My husband went ballistic. «Who is «they»? You’re the technician and you’ve been working on the fridge. You know what part to order». It’s been over a month and the fridge has not been fixed! Ashcraft is a complete disaster. The technicians are unable to diagnose the problem even though they came out 6 times. They dropped the ball on ordering the parts and are completely unprofessional. We are filing a BBB complaint against Ashcraft.
