this is one of the worst, if not the worst, pizza place i’ve been to. This place USED to be good… I remember visiting back then when they had servers serving pizza on your plate. Now you are on your own. But that’s not why i’m giving the 1 star. The food is just soo bad. It’s cold, it tastes funny; the pizza doesn’t even look good; it’s not even; the chicken tastes a bit funny too. Oh god. I don’t know why this place is still in business. Not only that, their kitchen is LOUD. The entire time we were there, they were dropping stuffs left and right in the kitchen. Several times it was so loud we thought we heard explosions. …ONESTAR. That’s for the cute and polite waitress they have! that’s it. that’s all they have. UPDATE: my wife and i both have diarrhea today after last night…

Great pizza! Sometimes a long wait on the weekends and parking can be tough.

I would like to give 5 stars, but I choose not to, I would like to give 1 start but I can not, I say this because of what a manger came up to me and said that was very upsetting and strange, RICK the manager asked me not to take photo’s of the restaurant, told me it’s not him but corporate, and that it policy and procedures. I then asked the server for his name which she gave to me and also she told me that there was nothing like that that she heard of and that what he said was strange, What are they trying to hide, I was going to give a great review but Rick ruined it!!! Anyways I give 3 stars then 1 because our server was very friendly and did an excellent job, and food taste amazing, so thank you for at least that part of it, BUT I dont think that should be a problem taking photos at all, and you tell me that I can not, What are you hiding Bertucci’s that you do not want all of us to see??? You would’ve got a great review But this rule if it’s true, is not good, makes you all look suspicious. Well thanks to Rick again, We will never come back here again. You lost a few customers. Sucks because we would’ve definitely came back, but this ruined our first experience.

Excellent again. 2 for 2 for our most recent visits. Cassie was our waitress this time. We ordered unlimited soup and salad and she stayed ahead of us bringing us multiple servings of soup/salad without delay. Outstanding service. Management is doing well and the servers are great here now. I hope this continues; we will return.

Only giving one star because there is no zero. Understaffed and ill trained workers. Took 50 minutes to get a to go order on a slow afternoon. Ordered three simple entrees and all were prepared incorrectly-so had to wait for them all to be fixed. Well after that long wait, the food was absolutely terrible. Chicken Marsala was just two small pieces of chicken over dry pasta(after asking for extra sauce) with about 3 mushrooms thrown on top-had NO taste whatsoever. Chicken piccata was two«fried and battered» pieces of chicken over a sticky gelatinous glop of fettuccine-again barely any sauce-completely inedible. Children’s entrée of chicken & rigatoni came prepared with only rigatoni– so it was taken back a piece of fried chicken was thrown on top. Did not receive side salads, drinks and dessert that was supposed to come with. Paid $ 40 for a lunch that all went in the garbage. No apologies, no offer for anything to compensate the long wait or wrongly prepared food. What a disgrace.

Had some initial issues at first when we came in the door, but the manager did an excellent job of handling them. We were seated in Connor’s section, and he was an excellent server. Bertucci’s is one of my favorite chain restaurants, and I would have to say this Bertucci’s is probably the best one I’ve ever been to. The chicken piccata was very flavorful and delicious. Kudos to the manager and Connor for turning around a bad experience into an excellent one!

First time to this place, and I’m beyond disappointed. I think they were playing a prank on me — no utensils for 15 min, my Blue Moon’s garnish was thrown inside an already overflowing glass, the veggie wrap taste like ass, and my check came out preemptively. Oh and shall I mention the under cooked pasta salad? Never again.

We just had a very disappointing lunch. It’s too bad because I had very fond memories of their brick oven pizza from many years ago. For starters, it took a while to get water and our orders taken. The place was about 1⁄3 full, and there was a large table just off to our side. As we were nibbling on our bread and salad, I realized that our neighboring table didn’t have an assigned server and was eyeing our table, debating whether they should say anything. When our hot appetizer came – relatively tasty spinach dip – about 20 minutes in, someone finally went over to them to take their orders, apologizing profusely. Other setbacks: the soda machines were on the fritz because of the CO2 line being bad, my appetizer plate was visibly filthy but put down in front of my anyway, my salad bowl had a bit of dried debris stuck on it, and my husband’s pasta was overcooked and mushy. Bottom line: perhaps it was a comedy of errors, but I don’t think we’ll be returning. There are just too many other options in the area.

I absolutely hate that this is a chain restaurant! I like the food’s flavors and the menu variety. It reminds me of restaurants in Italy except it is larger than most Italian restaurants. When people ask for recommendations on Italian restaurants there are quite a few to name. Yet for consistent good flavors without breaking your wallet this can’t be beat. Sometimes I order the mix of appetizers with baked vegetables. Quite a mean in itself. Sometimes pasta, sometimes pizza, sometimes one of their secondi, chicken, beef, or something. The salads are good, too. The one dish I don’t recommend is baked cod. It lives us to the normally expected dry cod lack of flavor, Roasted potatoes with rosemary ofen is a dish that lures you into a restaurant. Well, not the case here. I was thoroughly disappointed. Relatively dry potatoes and nary a sprig of rosemary. We have mixed reviews on the espresso/capucchino. Sometimes they have it, sometimes no one knows how to work the machine, sometimes the machine is broken. We seldom even ask anymore. Desserts are good and flavorful. This generally a good dining experience with good food, too!

Simply Amazing! Service was great and the food was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend to any and all. This restaurant has completely made us believers in outstanding brick oven pizza in the DC metropolitan area. Management team is second to none.

I debated three or four stars here. Let’s say food was four(for a chain) and service was three stars. The pizza was good and the bread that comes out first was great with an olive oil dipping sauce that had some red pepper and spices. They were using the brick oven well. The cod pasta was well cooked and the desserts were all tasty. The kids menu was substantial and had lots to choose from. The Mac and cheese was lacking a bit in cheese but the kids seemed to like it. The shrimp cream sauce pizza came out where most of the middle was soggy, which is no good for a pizza place. Granted, that is not the pizza one should choose, and it formed up as it cooled some, but still annoying. The flatbread pizzas were more of just a regular pizza with no change in crust and little options for toppings when doing the lunch special. Still a good deal with the Olive Garden-type salad included all for $ 7 or $ 8. So actually the food was just ok and I’m dropping it down to three stars even for a chain. The service was slow and not very thoughtful in terms of what might be needed(extra napkins when lots of kids, sugar for coffee) but folks were friendly enough. And room for the kids and very kid friendly. They even weirdly give you cold raw dough in the kids menus with the crayons. Not sure about that with kids trying to eat them the whole time. They get points for trying though. With low expectations this is a good place for families in a pinch.

Good solid option near Springfield Town Center. Have dined several times with my family the food is always good. We have ordered the wings, pizza and meatballs. I recommend all of these. Very kid friendly with attentive managers(table visit every time) and servers.

GREAT lunch spot! Unlimited bread + unlimited salad + a flatbread or sandwich for just $ 7.99! My food was warm and wonderful. Best Margarita pizza I’ve had yet — the sauce was delicious.

It was a group of three having lunch at Bertucci’s. Waitress answered questions about my friend’s order and recommended endless salad. Total of two bowls of salad had come which were ¼ full.(If they were tasty, I’d have complained of portion.) The vegetables were wilted and drenched with dressing. We didn’t ask for more. My friend left her pasta unfinished because of the lack of taste. My grilled portabella mushroom sandwich came totally burnt. I took it out immediately and asked the waitress to take it away. I didn’t ask for another but the kitchen sent another. It wasn’t as charred as the first but still unappealing. The best thing about the whole experience were that breads were good and the ambience was cheerful. It was disappointing to pay for such lunch.

We had an excellent lunch at Bertucci’s on the 4th of July. Our server David was outstandingly attentive. He also remained aware of the dietary needs of one of our party and made suggestions and changes as needs to meet her needs. Our table shared the Mozzarella Frita and the Bruschetta and both were great appetizers. We also share a pitcher of red sangria that was great. I had the lunch portion of the Chicken Parm and it was excellent. My wife had the soup and salad. The salad was very good but the minestrone soup was not very good. This was our first visit and we plan to return.

Okay WELL I said I’d never write a review for a chain, but here it is: our local go-to with the kids. Almost every other wknd we try to eat dinner at the Springfield town center, as early as 4:45pm even, and it is, without fail, SLAMPACKED. We always end up over at Bertucci’s because they have quick turn around and are kid-friendly. They have a great wine and cocktail list(hello, they have a Tiramisu martini that tastes like heaven) and excellent kid options, including free icecream with the meal. The servers are usually all friendly and attentive and the place is pretty lively and good for loud kids. The drinks can take awhile to come out so place your order in advance. I’ve had the chicken picatta before and it was pretty good but I’d probably stick to the pizzas and flatbreads here; my bf favors the wings. Great place to bring the kids with nice options for the adults as well.

italian, as far as i’m concerned, is a food genre that has some of the best comfort foods out there. spaghetti, lasagna, pizza(although some may differ on if pizza is truly of italian origin) are all simple and just make you feel better. except when you go to bertucci’s. my wife and i went to the location by the springfield mall a couple weeks ago. and that may be our only visit to that location. the atmosphere was pleasant enough. it was a busy night, with many full tables. shortly after we sat down, our server came by and took our orders. i ordered the rigatoni, broccoli, & chicken. my wife opted for the lasagna. and we waited. and waited. our server didn’t come by very often. we gave some clemency to the fact that it was busy and perhaps understaffed. although as i looked around the dining room i didn’t see much of our server at all. when our entrees did arrive, they looked fine. except when my wife cut into her lasagna the cheese wasn’t even melted. my dish was only lukewarm. so we sent them back. awhile later, our meals returned. they were both steaming this time. she ate a small portion of her meal(she is a light eater) while i ate all of mine. the next night at home i re-heated her leftover lasagna and had it for dinner. it was fine. or so i thought. the following evening i started getting food sickness. which rarely happens to me. my wife had a minor dose the prior evening. we could only attribute it to the lasagna. we may go back at some point and order pizza, since that is what they’re known for. or we may just go to the old towne alexandria location. but just don’t order the pasta.

Service was horrible, after being seated, no one came to the table to wait on us, when I went to get a server they came and drop off menus and took forever to come back. Daughter had to asked for refill several times and the pizza came back half correct and the thing is to me. They are not that good.

I came here this past Sunday evening after years of not stopping by. It was exactly as how I remembered when I was younger! The food, service, atmosphere, etc. are simply fine for a chain pizza/Italian food restaurant. Let me break it down: Food: pretty decent. I really enjoyed my mushroom pizza because the cheese was salty and rich, and mushrooms were abundant. I really liked how the cheese wasn’t stringy, so it was easy to pick up each slice and eat it cleanly. My dining companion ordered the chicken parmesan and bruschetta appetizer. He enjoyed his entrée, and had half of it leftover for another meal. The bruschetta was good, but the bread was too soft. The watermelon lemonade was way too sweet and downright yucky. Service: our guy was cool and laid back. When we made requests, he followed through. He was super easy-going which was fit the relaxed atmosphere. Location: this place is riddled with families+so many kids and is a little dingy. I was a little put off by the low light fixtures over the table; the light was on the table but looking at people it was dark. Bottom line: I think the pizza is tasty. Expect simple food meant for families with kids. No surprises, just typical Italian food.
