Typically, this is one of my favorite places to eat. We have been waiting 45 minutes and there are still 4 people in front of us waiting for their food. It was not unreasonably busy in here. The kids working look dirty, are slow, and use their clothes as a place to wipe their hands. It doesn’t seem sanitary or like they care how long anyone has been waiting. Definitely won’t be coming back. Work on your customer service and find employees who have a sense of urgency!

Very disappointed in the sandwich I received yesterday. I ordered the Very Berry Turkey, ingredients that all my favorite! The sandwich was correctly made but it had two small pieces of turkey on it. I didn’t expect it to look like the picture on the menu but I did expect there to be enough ingredients to cover a whole sandwich. I went out of my way to try this place out… I won’t be going back. I will go back to the Sub Shop for all of my sandwich needs…

So disappointed in this sandwich shop. Of all the times I have ordered from here, I can count on one hand how many times they have gotten my order right. Prices are extremely high as well. Shame on me for giving them multiple chances. I am ashamed at how much money I have spent there.

This place is pretty nice. The interior is nice, clean and the service is good. The place has several different sandwiches to chose from. The bread is made fresh daily. The price of a large sub(which is what I get) is $ 8.30 and it’s 12 inches long. Good spot

This the one sandwich place in Springfield that I’ll go to. So much better than Subway! Prices are a little high, but you get a lot more meat, veggies, and cheese than at Subway. Well worth it to me! Quick service, and they’re good with to go orders.

Despite the other reviews, the sandwiches were horrible. On the drive home, they became soggy messes. And, they were hopelessly under-seasoned. Picked out the meager serving of turkey and threw the rest away.

So this place is generally your average run of the mill sand which shop. Like any subway or Quiznos. But damn the bread here is legit homemade daily. It’s light and airy, and the onion bread goes perfect with anyother meal. And if you like panini sandwiches they have an awesome Reuben!

I haven’t been to a BTH in awhile, especially after the W. 11th one sadly bit the dust. So when I found a reason to try the Mohawk location out, I was happy to see the franchise still has a good sandwich. Unlike Subway, the sandwiches have a standard recipe they work off of, you can of course mix it up if you want to. I prefer this to the«build-your-own» schtick. They don’t try to sell you on a «toasted» sandwich and don’t use gobs of sauces. I’ll take my sandwich dry before I’ll trust a «sandwich artist» with that squirt bottle of mayo. The service is friendly and as fast as can be expected for the small operation they have running. When I stopped by it seemed to be 2 people working, one person would have to come out and take the orders then hustle back to help build the order. This creates a bit of a lag and can make it seem like the register is awkwardly unmanned. I would suggest at least having the employees in the back greet someone when they arrive at the empty register, just to keep everyone on the same page. A simple«Hi! We’ll be right with you.» is sufficient to the silence that is often offered to the folks who wander in wondering how to place their order. Otherwise I really do need to get my butt over to that side of town more often. It’s much bigger inside than you’d expect from the outside, which is always a plus for those who don’t enjoy a cramped space for an eatery.

It was not bad. Better than most subway. It was not great either though. For that expensive a sandwich I wish I could have gotten a bit more on it. The only thing I feel like I got enough of was the lettuce. There was also only one girl who was working, which meant it took a bit to get our food. Next time I am craving sandwiches, I will go to Jimmy Johns. We had hoped this would compare for when we are in that neighborhood, but I would rather drive over to gateway and get a better sandwich.

Not a better sandwich to be had in Springfield! But the service has gotten stupid slow(albeit friendly). I understand the pinch the owner is in: hire more people and you have time periods when they will both stand there. But we went in and only one group of three was ahead of us and only one person was working. It took awkwardly long to get to us. I had a filled out punch card but still considered going elsewhere. But their Classic Club is worth the wait.

I like this place, I like the sandwiches, and the service is great. Unfortunately, this place is fairly spendy – it can’t compete with Subway’s prices. I don’t like to spend a lot on a sandwich if I dont have to, but this place works in a pinch.

Fresh baked bread daily, the crew members will modify any sandwich to your specifications, the veggies are fresh and the salads amazing. For wheelchair users there is a power door at the entrance and a huge accessible bathroom. The seating also leaves space to maneuver. The staff are led by a great manager and are extremely cheerful and enthusiastic. A grab a san-o, salad, and/or soup!

My husband and I were planning to get lunch at Quizno’s but apparently it is no longer where we thought it was. Still wanting sandwiches we decided to give Big Town Hero a try. I honestly wasn’t expecting much. Their prices are reasonable, counter help was cute, nice, helpful. I bought a spring salad and he got a meaty sandwich with bacon. It came out quickly and it was wonderful! My husband made me try his sandwich he enjoyed it so much, and it was really good. My salad was super fresh with dark lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, sprouts etc. Their ranch dressing was great. Will definitely go back.

Located in a strip mall, this deli provides no frills sandwiches on fluffy soft bread. Subway may be their rival, offering the same basic lunch deal with chips and a beverage along side the sandwich. Between the two, there really isn’t much to compare except that both offer the same decent service and mediocre sandwich. BTH may be a local thing, but there are so many other great deli eateries that make this one insignificant.

I’ve eaten here on a few occasions & I’ve always experienced great service & awesome sandwiches. I definitely recommend Big Town Hero.
