I had the omlette with cheddar, sausage, Portabello mushrooms, spinach and tomato. Very good. The sausage gravy on the biscuits was excellent! Hasbrown were meh. Real crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside, cooked on too high of heat. Kristi our server was charming.

I had a nice lunch there with a coworker today(Tuesday). We got in at the tail end of lunch and were immediately seated. The restaurant was clean with excellent lighting. Our server was very friendly, made helpful suggestions, and kept the drink refills coming before we could even ask for them. I’m a big fan of being started off with my choice of bread item! The blueberry bread had decent flavor but was a little dry. The biscuits were solid. I had the seasonal peach chicken salad as an entrée, and it had a nice balance of flavors and was well portioned for the price. My coworker had the chicken pot pie and was happy with his selection. Apple pie for dessert was a solid finisher. The peach ice tea and peach pie were unavailable at the time, which was disappointing. They looked really good on all of the promotional materials! Overall, though, I had a very positive experience and will definitely check out Bob Evans again in the future.

Seated right away(came on a Monday night) and had a wonderful waitress. Unlimited bread, rolls, biscuits, etc! Entire family enjoyed their meals and food was reasonably priced!

Typical Bob Evans. Good location, easy to park. But just a chain restaurant, clean & friendly.

There was a wait for tables on Saturday morning, but when we were seated, we saw plenty of open and clean tables. Don’t know what that was about, but they seemed to be doing brisk business that day. Service was otherwise good and the portions are quite filling. I’d go back, but probably not on a Sunday.

My new go-to place in Springfield if I’m looking for a healthy meal. Got a meal with 2 grilled chicken breasts, sweet potato, and broccoli and it tasted decent. Service was a bit on the slow side but our server was very nice as well as the manager who came to check on how our food was. Pretty standard place for breakfast or lunch.

Shared a pot roast sandwich and the turkey knife and fork sandwich. Both were great. Pot roast have a good flavor and the meat was tender and was not in big chunks, severed on Texas toast. The turkey was tender and had a good flavor the gravy made the dish tho.

Lots of reasons to criticize America as the home of fast food drive-ins and chains specializing in carbs and burgers. However, there are some good exceptions for travelers(and locals) and Bob Evans is one of them. Lots of comfort food and popular American specialities, but their salads and breads are healthy choices. The pecan/cranberry/chicken salad wins a prize. Some of their grilled fish choices are priceworthy and well prepared.

Who would have thought a chain would have been so good. I would give it another visit if I was in the area

Bob Evans is pretty good for breakfast; one of your better places in Springfield. Coffee is decent, omelets are OK. Hash browns are good. Ten yo granddaughter approves of the chocolate chip pancakes. Service is usually quite good. Not bad at all!
