If you want hot water served by a snooty wait staff-this is your place. It’s everything most of us hate in a coffee shop-staff is too cool to care and the chi tea comes from a box. Skip it and use the drinking fountain at the Lincoln Museum. Fail.

I loved this place. On a 5 day trip, I visited 4 times. Comfy, relaxed, and delicious food and EXCEPTIONAL coffee. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch. A real neighborhood gem, locals stopping in as well as visitors; all are welcomed by the friendly and efficient staff. If this place was in my neighborhood, I’d have breakfast here every day.

Stopped in for lunch. Quaint little place. I had the Chicken Rosemary Foccacia sandwich and it was very good. I will need to come back and try the other Club sandwich or the pizza!

We had an espresso and cappuccino here, which were great. Nice place if you don’t want to go to Starbucks… again. Megan was very friendly while taking our order.

Finding myself in the cultural epicenter of Sangamon County, and overwhelmed by the plethora of greasy spooned chili parlors, I was in need of something Fresh. Like Will Smith drinking a mint julep fresh. The laughing of sirens behind the counter echoed through the streets of the northern cuisinal district of Spoho. Curiosity beckoned. After three attempts, it was a push on the door, not a pull as the front door handle mocked my impasse that allowed me into the café breezeway. I approached the menus and decided on the turkey avacado salad to quench my parading pallate. The dame at arms length placed my order and after offering my food for free on account of my disheveled appearance, I insisted I pay. After deconstructing my coin pouch, reciept in hand, I sat in the Herman Miller Eames Lounge chairs(or so they felt) to await my meal. And there she was, at the back of the café, the most beautiful woman ive ever laid my eyes on. Reddish brunette hair, and a face that not even the world’s finest renaissance era portraiteurs would not have even attempted to recreate, for their gods have spoken. Beauty has been perfected. For, every man that has had the pleasure of seeing her, has walked away with a story of «the one that got away.» Surely a fairytale yet be written, no writer’s conscious has ventured as deep as necessary to write the love story her existence deserves. I trembled at the notional scenario that would lead her to look in my direction, no man’s heart could stay chest entombed from the imminent heart pounding awaiting her attention. Death awaited, but for my sake, she remained entranced by her computer screen. I can only assume her stare was locked into her own reflection, unable to look away. To her right, probably her body guard, who has sworn an oath to protect her from the swooning of entrepreneurs of love. Man bun secured, he stood to do his hourly rounds, iphone sheathed, he investigated what I assume was the smell of my perspiration wafing through the back hall. I remained calm, prepared for a declaration of love to be followed by a fight the essence of Excaliber couldnt fathom. The front door opened, and as the room pressure changed, he swiftly appeared at his post to ward off encroachment of any«Bros» lacking the personal insight to not recognize their unworthiness of her inherent, intoxicating beauty. My salad had been prepared. I stood slowly to not disturb the goddess and her guardsman, and grabbed my pre-bagged«flame» salad. After ensuring a knife and fork had been provided with my meal, I left. The salad was really good. I would ask for more bread that came with it though. Definitely, definitely«flame» stuff.

This is one of the few places that was open in downtown Springfield. It was pretty popular because of that. You order at the counter, but they have six tables for outside seating and a few tables inside. No bottomless cup, they do bring your food to you, but you have to take your dishes inside. Some people had breakfast, which boasted a full breakfast menu, and danishes.

Stopped in for drinks and to check out the menu. The iced tea and caramel macchiato were super yummy-full bodied and packed a punch. The place has a great casual vibe and a constant stream of people coming in. I would come back again!

The places smells great! They have a few places to sit outside. You order at the counter and they gave you a number. Food takes a while but they have three workers and it was a Sunday at 9am. If I ever visit Springfield again I will come back for their lunch or dinner. I wanted to try a pizza!

Ambience is quaint. We came on Memorial Day and, although they didn’t close until 11am, they did not have their outdoor seating available. Bummer. The entrance over to the side was open, but not the front entrance. I suppose they were trying to deter patronage. That’s tacky. My partner and I got coffees. I got the buttercream and he got the house blend decaf. Both were Folgers-grade coffee. Not impressive at all. The interior is nice and the outdoor seating would be enough to draw me in, had they provided that option. Overall, an u impressionable experience.

Charming spot for soup/sandwich/salad. I’m in Springfield frequently and there’s nowhere to get a nice, simple, fresh meal downtown. I had the turkey avocado salad and it was delicious! They had a variety of coffees and teas also. I’m so happy to have found the café and will be back.

Have been going there for more than 2 yrs for my coffee and occassional Breakfast Sandwich. Always have been greeted by friendly employees and Great hot food(Helps during the winter). Café Andiamo is a gathering location for all sorts of friendly people especially during the warm weather.

Andiamo is a very nice little place in Springfield. The food is good and priced well and the ambiance is very nice and cosy. This is also one of the few places to get a decent breakfast on the weekend outside of a hotel!

I traveled to Springfield for work and decided to try this place out since it was close to the hotel where I was staying, and a friend of mine told me the food was good. I tried this place twice and I was underwhelmed both times. The first time I ordered the salmon salad — the salmon was overcooked(and I am assuming a frozen product), they gave me a jarred balsamic vinaigrette, and some old tomatoes. Foolishly I went back a second time thinking maybe I got them on a bad day. The second time I ordered the bbq chicken salad which was terrible. The chicken strips were clearly from a freezer, drizzled with some overly sweet(probably bottled) bbq sauce, and topped with a TON of mozzarella cheese which I ended up scrapping off. Just terrible.

This is about the only place open in Springfield on a Sunday. We enjoyed the sandwiches well enough. Service was kind of slow, but friendly. The menu is mostly Italian, but they offer Paleo-friendly options, lots of coffees, some baked goods like muffins and scones. The building and decore are interesting, including twisty-turny passagesways on the way to the restroom.

I recently had their breakfast and it was delicious! I was staying at the Doubletree Hilton downtown and was looking for a nice breakfast that wasn’t too far away and just happened upon on Andiamos. The Decore was nice, but the people were friendly, and the most important part, the food was very good. I got the Southwest omelette for my wife and a breakfast sandwich for myself. I think they forgot the salsa on the omelette but it was still delicious!!! Give it a try, you will most likely enjoy it!!!

Enjoyed sitting outside. Herbivore omelet, scrambled eggs and bacon, and vanilla yogurts with raspberries and granola were very good. Service is not real fast, but we were not in a hurry… so it was okay. We chatted with a very interesting man who grew up in Tuscany.

This is my favorite place in Springfield to hang out. This place has a very artsy and cool vibe and attracts the kind of inquisitive young minds which I miss so much from places I’ve lived in days gone by. It’s in the touristy zone of downtown, so it attracts locals and tourists alike. The menu isn’t terribly extensive but what they have is done right. The front page of their menu is based on the«paleo» diet which also means the options are gluten-free as well, which is nice considering there aren’t many options in Springfield which advertise gluten-free menu options. The«meatza» is my favorite menu item– essentially pizza without the crust. I love that they offer such tasty, lighter options. I also adore their for real deal espresso machine. The marshmallow mocha is to die for– nothing like a melted s’more in a cup. Delicious. Worthy of noting, they have gelato and baked goods here which look delicious, none of which I have tried. So 2 reasons for giving this place only 4 stars: 1) The hours. Closes at 4 pm every night? This place has such potential to be a cool evening hangout for an acoustic show or even a local art show. 2) This is the big one– customer service! The management here is great, but the actual employees that run the counter leave room to be desired. I’ve actually walked up while 3 of them are standing there, discussing how to properly apply liquid eyeliner, and they blatantly ignored me for a solid 2 minutes before acknowledging I was even there. If you’re going to be the neighborhood friendly coffee shop and keep the locals coming back, you’ve got to amp up the charm. Starbucks is right down the street, you know? Overall, great place besides my belly achin. I’ll continue to come back regularly.
