The one star is for the bento box I had in the restaurant that was good. I’m pissed because I ordered a bowl to go, which was described on the menu as, «organic brown rice and organic black beans layered with our original yumm! sauce topped with organic mild red salsa.» I confirmed that the yumm sauce was vegan. The staff neglected to tell me that the bowl came with sour cream and cheese. I cannot eat dairy. I ordered this bowl to go to have at the end of the night after a wedding that would not have food I can eat. I can’t even begin to describe the disappointment I felt when I came home to open the bowl and discover that it was full of dairy, after telling the staff I was vegan. How is this not stated on the menu, or even mentioned by the staff? So sad.

This is the first time I’ve been here. I’m here from St. Louis for work and this is connected to where we were. The service was super fast. People were polite and welcoming. I didn’t feel rushed when I was trying to figure out what I wanted. I hope they open some near me because the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered a large and because it was healthy and organic I didn’t feel sluggish after eating it. Makes it easier to go back to work.

Loved the service as it was quick and they’re friendly. I got the chicken yumm bento with brown rice and it was delicious it didn’t even stand a chance. I’d come here again and wanna try everything.

Totally amazing food, but most of the time they don’t get your order right unless it is just right off the menu. If you tweak anything, just double check before you leave. They give you credit after so many times of complaining, but I just hate having to complain. The food is worth the hassle though!

This is normally a great restaurant especially when you choose any of the yumm bowls. However, I ordered one of their soups, «Mama Leone’s chicken soup» in a medium size to go…$ 5. When I took it home to eat, there was one teeny piece of chicken 1“X¼″ and less than an 1/8″ thick… a scrap and that was it besides some tomato, onion and some flecks of kale or chard. When I mentioned this today when buying a gift card the clerk said, «We don’t make the soup, you should have called us and we could have comped it.» A disappointing reaction and answer. I will never order this again; consider yourself warned.

Great food, youthful, healthy atmosphere. Wish we had one in the Coos Bay/North Bend area! We’ll definitely be back.

The service here is quick, ingredients fresh, and experience is consistent on each visit, each location. The Yumm sauce is outstanding — I suggest ordering extra. Yumm Bowls are my meal of choice here.

Not a great vegan place. A couple vegan choices. The tempeh was bland on the Reuben but the sauerkraut seemed fresh. Not a great sandwich but ok. The bowl of rice, beans and lettuce was horrible! It had sour cream on it… LOTS of heavy sour cream and cheese, which we specified NOCHEESE. The black olives looked and tasted old. We were not impressed overall. Best part of the meal was the vegan ginger cookie and it was good but not great. Won’t be back.

This is the worst location for all Yumm restaurants, rude people always incomplete orders, I had bad avocado and asked for some that wasn’t black and spoiled looking, got a attitude from the gal, told her thanks and she walked off. Go to oakway or any other location, this was my 3rd time NEVERAGAIN for this location. But love yum

This location is terrible. The last 2 times I’ve asked for no olives– only to get back to my desk to discover TONS of olives. Also this location has really skimpy portions. I normally go to the Oakway location and the sizes really vary.(this is a complaint I know lots of people have with Yumm. Sometimes your bowl is half full– sometimes two thirds. It would be interesting to get a scale and see what the variation is). Also I’ve sent emails to Yumm directly about service/quality issues. No response.

I have met here for Autism Society meetings for the last couple of years. My food is paid for by the organization, which is a plus! The food is new wave Asian geared for vegetarians and others with dietary limitations. That does not bother me in the least because I love healthy food. I can partly thank my mother and grandmother for that! I have had a yum bowl without the sauce in the past.(I don’t like the sauce. It’s too bland for me and almost tests my gag reflex. Ugh!). Last time I had a skewer with the rice/slaw and it was quite good. With that said the food is very good at this location. It is just so crowded it’s difficult to hear my self think. If it weren’t, I could enjoy myself better here.

The food is delicious and fresh, as always but this location is really poor at making sure the order is complete. Last time I ate here they forgot my cookie and this time they forgot my chicken skewer stick. I’ll continue to eat there, but checking your order is a must! Love: Original bowl, ginger cookie, strawberry lemonade! Hate: Missing food I paid for :(

The name says it all… YUMM. To be honest you either like this food or you don’t. I do. One caution about this restaurant, they are used to doing their thing very fast. If you ask for extras or deletions it doesn’t always happen. That said the food and customer service keep me coming back again and again. Last week alone I had it twice

Yumm sauce is Awesome Sauce. I like that you can customize your order. I feel like I’m eating healthy(brown rice, black beans, avacados…) but it really is a lot of calories(almost 900 in a medium Yumm bowl) WOW — but it is delicious!

The staff has been super friendly every single time we’ve been in. I’ve loved the Tempeh, and Tofu Skewers I’ve tried. I’m addicted to the hot and Jazzy so that’s basically the only thing I order on a regular basis It’s always great. When I’ve tried the soups, no complaints at all. I had to take off one star because we’ve gotten some dirty silverware a couple times. They fixed it right away and apologized though.

If you’ve never eaten at Café Yumm, I highly recommend it! The food is unlike anything you will find anywhere else, and the Yum sauce is absolutely delicious! Healthy ingredients and great flavor! There’s a reason it’s called Café Yumm.

In the area, hopeful for a somewhat healthy meal, we popped in. A very friendly gal took our order, we got our drinks and sat down with a number. She was kind enough to come over to us and let Son know the rye bread for his Tempeh Reuben wasn’t vegan, and asked if he would like sourdough instead. He really appreciated that! Soon our food arrived, looking very good. Son enjoyed his side salad, and I got a taste of his Tempeh Reuben and it was rich and delicious. I got the Chicken Yumm! Bento with both dipping sauces. Loved that they let me try half of each the Yumm and the Teriyaki and that brown rice was an option. The chicken skewer was thigh meat(which I like). While I liked the Yumm sauce, I don’t know that it went exactly with this dish, but it was great to try it. Rice was perfectly cooked. The cabbage was okay, but over-dressed imho. If I lived near a Café Yumm, I would be back to try more things!

When I drive from Pdx to GP or vice-versa, it is about a 4 hour drive and this location of Café Yumm is the perfect rest-stop. It is right off the freeway, it is super-duper fast and it’s healthy. And, when the weather is nice they have outdoor seating, and that is ideal for me to bring my dogs. There is a little bit of green space in the parking lot too, so with a creative route it is also a good reststop for my dogs too. As a vegetarian there is not a lot of fast food options for me, and I can only tolerate so much subway & quizno’s, so this is a refreshing pit stop with unique food options. Eugene is where this ethnicity of food-the Yumm Bowl– was created, and my only complaint is that I wish it was more accessible with more locations!

I am a fan of Café Yumm, but I was disappointed at this place. It just wasn’t right, the rice was a major turn off because the rice was sticky and clumped together. Also the café yumm sauce was thin and tasted as it was watered down.

I’m not sure if you’re eating more healthy from just the type of food here… or also because of the portions you get for what you pay. I keep seeing reviews about these tofu skewers. and I suppose I shouldn’t have been too surprised when I tried ordering them and find out they didn’t have any more. The bowls don’t look too complicated. some rice, veggies. and whatever else you want to add. I ordered the Yumm! Baby. which has all their usual toppings, with their yumm sauce and extra avocado. After failing to get a tofu skewer because they were out, I settled on getting a Tempeh skewer instead. After any meal. I usually go through a few thought processes… If the food was good, if the service was great, and at least for my poor wallet. if it was all worth it. Sadly. this place fails the last test for me. I can’t see why I would come back to buy their food here for something I could probably make at home for a fraction of the cost. Is their signature«yumm sauce» that special? or. is there anything else in my bowl that could make the price worth it? I just can’t see it. I won’t deny the food was good. and the friendly people there provided quick service… but yeah. I just don’t see the value… Also… I was still left hungry. Should I have ordered more food and spent more money? Perhaps… but then my wallet would’ve been just more pissed off by the time I finished eating.
