Dont bother. Saturday night group of 9. No need for reservations. The place was empty. Wonder why? Service was good food was blah. Then again its what ive come to expect here in Springfield. Too many selections, it cant possibly be fresh. $ 30 two beers, grilled tilapia, rice & salad. Tilapia was hard, chunky & bland. Rice was cold and hard.

Horrible restaurant. Food is Okay. Lighting, atmosphere, service is terrible. Needs help. Notice all reviews are from many years ago. This place has switched names, do your homework and go somewhere else.

Wow what a fun food fantastic Friday night !!! The medallions were superb. Paragonal king crab legs and scallops and the wine list is broad and well balanced. Ask for Dave to be your wait staff … He is quite the comedian … Check out their white rairbit cheese sauce for the huge baked potatoe… and all in a restaurant that has served Springfield since prohibition .and for a fare that leaves plenty of cash for a late night movie on date night

I would have given 5 stars but my most recent visit brings it down to 4 stars. Have been a customer for about 10 years now — we go twice a year for special occasions — and have loved every meal we’ve been served. Which brings me to service… The bartender working Saturday night was awful. Sure she made a decent cocktail but no personality or style. No smile, no enthusiasm whatsoever. I actually felt uncomfortable looking at her and she dimmed our festive celebration by being such a downer. Other than this — We each had a terrific meal and enjoyed every scrumptious bite

My wife and I had shrimp cocktail & crab cake appetizers. Both were good. We both ordered steak & lobster. Both were prepared to our requests. Our cocktails were good. Our waitress Dana was very attentive. If I lived in Springfield it would be my go to place. Almost like an old time«supper club» but without the relish tray.

I was invited here for a late dinner by a business associate while I was in town. I don’t typically frequent steak houses for a myriad of reasons, and I was a little hesitant to eat here. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The kitchen cooked my steak perfectly, and the cut of meat was top-notch. The side I ordered, potatoes au gratin, was probably the best variation I’ve had at a restaurant– it’s such an easy dish to mess up, but so delicious(and heavy) when prepared properly. The only less than stellar part of the meal was the salad, which was just ‘meh’. The service was attentive without being overbearing. There was certainly no sign of «bitch ass ness». but then, I was dressed appropriately for the venue. I guess the reason I can’t rate Gallagher’s higher is simply because, between the décor and the fact that I was at least two(and more like three to four) decades the junior of the rest the clientele. it reminded me more of visiting my grandparents than of fine dining. And that’s not the feeling I want while I’m eating delicious steak. I’d peg Gallagher’s right around a 3.5, rounded up to 4 to counteract the previous ridiculous review.

FABULOUS dining! The food was terrific!!! The house«Brittany» dressing was divine. Casey was our waitress and she ROCKED. Casey made sure our birthday dinner was memorable and went above and beyond to cater to my husband, who’s birthday we were celebrating. I highly recommend Gallagher’s.

I loved this place. We had reservations for Valentine’s day. They sat us in a cute little semi circle booth that was romantic. We had a fantastic steak. Our waitress left a lot to be desired. She took forever to take our order and then took the order of the people that were most recently sat after us when it was our turn. They ordered the last of the prime rib.(what we planned to order) We were a little tiffed. Its pricey but good. I’m always buggin’ him to take me back.
