Great food and great service! My husband and I come to Chen’s at least 2/3x a month! We love their sushi, which is always fresh and delicious! I have had their chicken w/broccoli, lo mein, fried rice, wonton soup, and beef teriyaki, which is my absolute favorite! I usually get the beef teriyaki with mushrooms and I never finish it all! The staff is always so nice and makes us feel comfortable. This is our favorite date night place for Friday. We have brought so many of our friends/family members here because it is so good! Thanks Chen’s! See you again tonight! :-)

well I would’ve reported that my food was good, but last night me and my friend were just chatting for another hour. this couple came in and sat down. A few minutes later they freak out saying that they saw a roach!!! needless to say we left right away and I threw away my leftovers as soon as I got home! such a fucking waste! that’s something you definitely don’t want to see or hear about!

We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The staff is very attentive and brings the food out quickly. They frequently come back to check on you and refill your drinks without you even asking. For lunch specials you get white or brown rice AND a choice of soup. The beef teriyaki was hot and savory. They offer vegan choices. They have fried noodles and duck sauce on the table while you wait. They give you hot black or green tea. The portions are huge and the prices are fair. They have fried ice cream. Come just to try that.

I have been eating here at minimum once a week for the past 18 years. Nobody does Chinese food better than Chens.

I’d like to rate this place higher, because the people there were very nice, but unfortunately I can’t do it. First off, the food was not very good. The fried rice had no flavor to it, and a few people at our table couldn’t even eat their food. We had to wait when we got there because the receptionist was on the phone, and then several times we ran out of water and ran out of rice. Finally, the acoustics were terrible it was one of the noisiest restaurants I’ve ever been in and we couldn’t even hear the waiter when he tried to talk to us.

Generally all their Chinese dishes are delicious and fairly priced. However, leave the sushi to the experts. Their fish is not fresh, small, and the sushi rice is dry and hard.

This place is a very good upscale Chinese food restaurant. The place is very clean and beautiful looking. The salt and pepper squid is something everyone needs to try as soon as they walk through the door along with the Peking pork chops, they are sticky and delicious. They even have an all you can eat sushi buffet that runs 7 days a week for about 2l $ 20-$ 25 dollars. That might sound like a lot but for the quality of sushi you are getting it is a ridiculous bargain.

Don’t go here for all you can eat sushi. The rolls were very small, the sushi pieces were mostly rice and the fish smelled off. Also as part of the all you can eat you have to eat ALL the rice before you can order more.

I had an appt. for a haircut next door and decided to kill two birds wih one stone and order take out before getting a haircut. I saw the word sushi somewhere in front of their restaurant and said wow, yum Japanese food! After my haircut I walked in to pick up my food and the first thing I noticed was the empty restaurant during lunch time and second, the exposed bowl of wontons sitting at every table. I knew at that moment that I would be disappointed with the food. Their raw fish was so bad that I felt like if I finished it, I would get a parasite. Obviously their turn over rates are bad and that can only mean fish that’s been sitting around for days… at least that’s what it tasted like. Their cooked salmon teriyaki even tasted nasty. so fishy with generic water downed overly sweet sauce. And the rice wasn’t even Japanese rice. This was the worst Japanese food I’ve had in my entire life.

I have been going to this place every week for 4 years! I haven’t complained once, this is the best Chinese place you will find. End of story.

This review is only about the all you can eat sushi. Which was horrible! Literally a joke to call it all you can eat sushi. It is made to order and the amount of fish that is in each roll is miniscule. There is loads of rice in each piece with a tiny tiny tiny bit of fish. The fish was see through it was so thin! The variety offered is decent, but it doesn’t matter when you’re just eating mountains of rice. We still laugh at how ridiculous this place is after eating there months ago. Also, they charge you extra if you leave any sushi on your plate! So beware.

This Chinese place is just OK. They offer sushi but I have never tried it so I can’t say if its good or not. The few times I have gotten anything from here it has always been at lunch time. I get something off of there lunch menu. Like I said, the food it just OK. I prefer the Chinese on Rt 22 in the Best Buy Shopping Center.

My wife and two kids went here on christmas eve. There seemed to be enough servers but the service was inattentive and the food was mediocre. We ordered chicken with vegetables, pad thai and chow fun with beef. The pad thai was especially bland although the shrimps were good. You do have to ask for tea. What really disturbed me was that they added up the bill incorrectly by ten dollars and didn’t apologize. We actually went here because the wait was too long somewhere else. There are better choices. I would not recommend this place

I don’t know what these Unilocal mofos be yappin about, you CAN’T go wrong with $ 19 all-you-can-muthafuggin-eat sushi. You just CAN’T. I don’t give an ish if this place looks like a dump and the waitress is mad slow. After 15 giant spicy/crunchy tuna/salmon/spider(soft-shelled crab)/white fish hand rolls, 10 pieces of unagi and 7 pieces of octopus sashimi… I started to sweat and I got the shakes. I’m all about experiencing the highs and lows of dining, and I think I just experienced the gamut of feelings while eating here. I actually got emotional. …hold up… gimme a second…

If you dine here, you have to ask for tea and the noodles with duck sauce. If you don’t ask for these things, they don’t bring it to you. As a matter of fact, the service here is really not good at all. The reason I keep going back is because the food is really good. I do love their california rolls, egg rolls, general tsaos chicken and their wedding/new years cake, which is really a round looking pasta cooked like the Chickenk lo mein. The Garlic Shrimp & Vegetables are good too and if you order it to go, you do get a good portion, along with a good portion of rice. BUT, if you eat in there and order it in the diningroom, you seem to get only half the portion you’d get at home??? Every entrée come with its own white rice, but last month we ate inside there again and there were three of us. The portions came out a lot smaller, and they gave us one small bowl of Rice for the three of us to split! Before we finished our meals, the waitress came over and put the bill on the table. We stated, «We’re not ready for the bill yet»… the waitress replied, Yes, but we’re all waiting to go home! Needless to say, we were forced to hurry up and finish our meals as they all stood there watching us. I will continue to order food to go, but will never dine in there again.

Would give no stars if possible!!! I HAVENEVERNOTTIPPEDAT A RESTAURANTAND I REFUSEDTOLEAVE A DIMETOTHISWOMAN. Terrible service, ambience is tacky-chic, Food was mediocre but never in a million years would I return. Waitress was rude. We had to ASK for our own drinks. Slammed plates on our table. For 3 people who ordered 3 entrees and an app. They brought out a small bowl(like a soul bowl) of white rice to share. When we asked for more(after 15 min of our waitress being gone from the dining room of 2 tables) she charged us $ 4. unbelievable … Had to SHARE a knife for most of the meal because our waitress(who we had to basically beg for refills) never came out. No tablecloth for a 4 pm lunch? But tables after us did. We ate off a table top with paper napkins that we had to ask for as well. Bill was over $ 50 so it’s not like it was a quick meal. So many other great Chinese options Nearby. Cathays on 22 or Hunan spring in Springfield! Service THERE is so great, friendly and the food is wonderful. My family was upset we spent our money and afternoon at this catastrophe. Don’t ruin your quality time with yours as we did

I used to love this place. The twin lobster with garlic sauce used to be «to die for». Now it is below average. My wife thought her sushi which was excellent and filling. The Bosnia rice was good. I received a response on Unilocal that the old owner knew how to make awesome meals and the new owner does not.
