Cutters Corner

If you’re coming here expecting a world-​class barbershop then this place is not for you. This place is NOT fancy at all. No frequent cutters card (like they have at Supercuts), no need to sign in or anything you like that. You just go in, and sit down and they call whoever is next in line. If you’re like me, things like this aren’t a bother.
You can’t beat the price for a regular. For years it was $ 8 for a haircut then recently, it was bumped up to $ 10, which is still reasonable.
The shop is a giant white room with maybe 4 barbers chairs and some Phillies/​Eagles posters on the walls. They also have a TV set up. The barbers/​stylists do a great job. I usually just get a regular haircut (2 on the sides, top cut short with scissors).

Dirt cheap, $ 10, and the girl that cut my hair did a great job. Not the nicest looking place but i could care less, if the place was super nice it would be reflected in the price.

I have been coming here for years. Sometimes i get good results from the cutter, who is on the ball to the finish; other times: from the cutter to end result, it was total fubar;
On this day, my Wife’s turn came for Her haircut: due to Hospital stays and what had to be done to keep hair out of the way, plus the loss of proper care, during those stays… stays that were to close together… Her hair had to go.
I could never understand why women, when they reach that certain age,
become «Helmet Heads». i have seen women, well past maturity, with long hair,
and beautiful.
My Wife kept Her hair long for me; even though i told her: «if you want it gone,
you’ll still and always be beautiful to me.»
We arrived and were waited on promptly.
The cutter was told what had to be done and why.
We wanted the hair placed in the bag my Wife brought along.
The cutter was considerate and did not rush it along.
When done, the cutter told her: the scalp was clean and rash free.
It was a slow day, all eyes were on my Wife.
Everyone spoke kindly, with empathy, telling Her: it will grow back,
We went to the car, She placed the bag of her hair in the backseat.
My Wife proceeded to the driver side door, before she did, i kissed Her.
You will always be beautiful to me, i said with my eyes.
She heard me and we went home.
Cutter’s Corner did a professional, considerate and thoughtful job.
i will continue to have Cutter’s Corner cut my hair…

It’s dirty and everyone smells like cigs but its an $ 8 haircut… yes, that’s right $ 8. With a 50% tip, it’s cheaper than every other chop shop in town.
My hair is ½ an inch. I get tired of paying $ 20 for 10 minutes worth of work.
No frequent cutters cards, no signing in, I don’t think there’s even paper towels in the can.

Its a almost empty dingy space with mirrors and chairs thrown in. The women hair dressers are miserable and trashy looking. Told her what I wanted and she looked at my like I had two heads and said I didn’t make sense. my sons haircut wasn’t short enough and when I said something she gave me an attitude. had to point out the long hairs on his neck that weren’t shaved and he had hair all over his face and neck that should have been brushed off. She was in a rush because the shop was closing and the cut showed her lack of regard in her work. The hair cut was 8 and I’d rather pay more and go somewhere else.
